A new rule for conflicting accepted calculations?

I think that it might be a good idea to write a new rule regarding that when there are several conflicting calculations for the same feat that have all been evaluated and accepted by the calc group, the matter of which one that is most reliable should be first be discussed here in the calc group forum by the calc group members before any changes are applied to the relevant character profiles.

The question is where it would be appropriate to write down such a regulation.

My impression is that the community recurrently gets confused when this happens, so we definitely need to write it down somewhere. The calculations evaluations thread might be an idea, but we should probably mention it elsewhere as well.

Personally, I think writing down the accepted result on the Verse pages Calculations section seems like a good idea as well. Anyway, I think this new addition seems like a good idea.

@Andy

I refer to if a calculation for a specific feat has been accepted and used previously, and then one or several new calculations pop up for the same feat, and are also accepted. We need a standard procedure for how to handle this type of situation.

@Medeus

The calculation that is finally accepted should be added to the verse page calculation section, and the rejected versions removed, yes.

Any suggestions for where we should mention this?

Okay. I would still appreciate some more input regarding what we should say and where though.

Agreed, there are multiple calculations for a lot of calcs, and some calcs make it to being used on profiles though they were never accepted.

So where should we mention this? Is it enough to do so in the calculations evaluastions and requests threads, or should we do so in some calculations instructions page and maybe the Editing Rules page as well?

How about something like this text?

"If there exist several calculations for a specific feat that have all been evaluated and accepted, but give conflicting results, the matter of which one that is most reliable should be first be discussed in the calc group forum by the calc group members before any changes are applied to the relevant character profiles. The calculation that is finally accepted should then be added to the related verse page calculation section, and the rejected versions removed."
