As it stood, Zamasu's wincon relied on being able to exhaust Phantom's stamina to turn him human so he could properly kill him. If that only results on the ghost now having infinite stamina, then Zamasu literally can't win this.
While Phantom only needs to possess him, which he now has infinite tries pretty much (even assuming Zamasu would use his skill to evade him initially, it's just a matter of time).
