So if his soul was burned from existence he would die? since it getting eaten would have supposedly killed him, nothing in that scene suggest he'd survive if his soul was destroyed and demiurges first move is soul destruction...

Its a spell that can be activated with a thought (using silent magic) and more its demuirges first move in nearly all his fights. futher he's very willing to abuse his timestop, and he can mental manip with his words.

If bloodlusted fair enough but depending on range it becomes a matter of who activates their abilities first, in bloodlust demiurge opens with hell flame, ban opens with fox hunt and from there its a who hits first. Actually it would probably be incon, demi has his heart ripped out while ban has his soul destroyed.
