Denji has a large advantage in close range combat as we see in the latest chapter (cutting himself and his enemy in half while cannibalizing them, as well quickly as cutting thier legs of while only possessing a torso causing them to trip cannibalizing his other enemy as well, and repeatedly stabbing his enemy with his chainsaws while being impaled by them) if you read the chapter you see he has no reaction to pain and will destroy himself in order to cannibalize his enemy
