Thanos can probably snap before Cap lands a hit. Although it does take a bit for the disintegration to start, so Steve might be able to still kill him in the meantime.

I'm voting inconclusive. Speed is equalized, so it all depends on whether Thanos snaps/closes his fist first or Captain America chucks his shield first (he's close enough to one-shot Thanos). I'm probably leaning towards Cap though, considering how Thanos was impressed by an 8-C Cap that a human could be so strong, he would probably underestimate this 6-B Cap. Thanos's hand gesture could be faster than Cap throwing his shield, but Thanos doesn't snap someone out right into a fight (in character right?) and would probably underestimate Cap. On the other hand, he has some hax that can one-shot Cap, so inconclusive.

Thanos wins via hax. Even though speed is equalised, he can use teleportation or space manip to increase the distance between them. Can use reality warping to depower him, turn him into an insect or use matter manip to disentegrate him. Or can just kill him since he has life/death manip.


Cap has no way to win. Thanos with IG has too much hax.

He needs to close his fist to activate the gauntlet, while Cap should be smart enough to realize that the IG is dangerous as he has met Thanos of his universe. So Cap would either throw his shield at the gauntlet or grab Thanos's gauntlet like Captain Marvel did.

Thanos would probably underestimate AA Cap seeing how he was a mere human, as he underestimated MCU Cap, while Cap won't underestimate him seeing how powerful he was in his own universe, and quickly decapitate him with his shield before he can do anything (like Thor could have done but he was too arrogant, Cap is not).

So it depends on who does it first, Thanos closing his fist or Cap slicing his head off. Hence I vote inconclusive.

At 5 meters and plenty of prior experience on how Thanos is, I think Cap should be able to kill him before the snap takes effect, but he dies a few seconds later.

Only thing I can see is that he can do something with the reality stone or space stone, although Cap's prior knowledge and skill would work here for incon
