The information given for the rule tells me this:
Facts:
1. Soul Society, and at least one other place that souls can travel to and from existed before the Soul King was created ,
2. The chaos caused by the unregulated travel of souls to and from Soul Society was dangerous^,
3. Soul Society created a system to bring stability to the traveling of souls^,
4. The system maintains the Balance of Souls between the Human World, Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo, keeping those worlds intact,
5 The Soul King is the lynchpi powering the system maintaining the BoS, for simplicity, I will name the system the Soul King System or SKS (imaginitive I know),
6. Yhwach intended to destroy the three worlds , and recreate a single one from whatever remained,
7. When the BoS is stopped the three main Bleach worlds will all collapse/be desroyed ,
8. When the Soul King dies the BoS fails andthe worlds start falling apart ,
9. We do not know with certainty what will remain after the three worlds are destroyed,
10. Yhwach became the Soul King,
11. The black energy tearing up Soul Society , definitely came from Yhwach , and finally
12. Hell is not included the worlds influenced by the Balance of souls, as Hell is it's own separate place , but is never mentioned or implied to be included (questionable relevancy, but I thought it might as well be said for the simple fact that it will be a constant, even if we assume that the three main worlds will be completely erased, not saying that they will though) see novel.
Assumptions against 5-B Yhwach, call it Cell A
A1. Yhwach, being the lynchpin, is capable of cutting of his support to the SKS, resulting in the BoS failing,
A2.Yhwach decided to use his alleged ability to cut off the power to the SKS to destroy the worlds, and
A3. The failure of the BoS will cause the three worlds to merge.
Assumptions for 5-B Yhwach, lets call it Cell B
B1. Yhwach is capable of destroying the three worlds with his sheer power,
B2. Yhwach decided to use his personal power to destroy the three worlds, and
B3. The black energy shown tearing up the surface of the Human World, is Yhwach's reiatsu.

Additionally I went back and found something odd:
Fact 13. Mayuri Kurotsuchi was forced to rapiidly exterminate souls from Soul Societyto balance the souls being erased in Hueco Mundo by the Quincys, in order to prevent escalation of the effects.
So, the whole reason I (LE), support 5-B Yhwach and went through all this effort is because:
LE1. Facts 1,2,3, and 6, cast some heavy doubt on A3 , and combined with the reality that it is never stated in the manga that the balance of souls no longer being maintained will result in the worlds merging and I'm inclined to throw A3 out the window.
LE2. Fact 11 heavily supports B3, as they occur at the same time
LE3. A1 is entirely reasonable, to tell the truth, though it remains unproven, however with my considerable disinclination to place any stock in A3, and as I would rather not believe that Tite Kubo's Big Bad is a blowhard that overestimates himself, I believe Yhwach entirely able to carry out his goal from Fact 6.
LE4. For B1, we are discussing god-tiers, and there is no anti-feat.
LE5. If Mayuri had to fix the balance himself, then the SKS can be overwhelmed if enough souls are removed from one side of the balance in a short enough time frame. If this is true, then:
LE6. If Yhwach really wanted to destroy the worlds with the balance of souls, he could have just ordered the mass extermination of Hollows, as he didn't seem to really care for their lives
