I WILL BE SKIPPING THE NOTHINGNESS, AS I WILL BE SAVING IT FOR ANOTHER CRT IF THIS GOES THROUGH
I know there is currently an open CRT for this. But I feel my CRT will have better scans and a lot more context (not saying the current CRT is bad or anything). So yeah, here is my proposal:
Comics
going to be adressing the canon of the comics first, as it adds a lot of stuff to the cosmology that isn't on the series. Author Ryan North was asked about the canonicty of the comics, here is what he had to said about it:
Something that comes up pretty often is this question: “Are the Adventure Time comics canon?” Here’s the short answer:
Pretty much!
Here’s the longer, more satisfying answer!
The initial outlines, final scripts, and finished comic pages all go to Pen for approval, and there’s certain scenes that we go back and forth on together. In Issue 4 (out now!), there’s a page (and you’ll know it when you see it) that actually took several drafts because we wanted to make sure it was perfect AND would fit in with not just with what’s been aired (the easy part) but also with what’s GOING to be aired a few seasons out (the harder part!).(There was actually one detail that we changed just before the issue went to print, as the show writers had just come up with an awesome idea for an episode that would’ve contradicted this page in a minor way. The bottom line is this: we want everything to fit. We want the comic to be like an episode of the show, and for nothing to jar you out of that! )THAT SAID, the show writers will always write the best show they can, just as I’m trying to write the best comic I can, and if they come up with something that’s awesome only it’s contradicts Issue 7 Page 5 Panel 2 of the comic… they’re still going to do it, and so they should! So yeah, the comics are as canonical as possible, and we put a lot of work into making sure that everything fits! But future episodes might contradict something, and then we’ll say “Hey, they’re still canonical, but Abracadaniel spilled just some some magic on that one page of the comic and changed all our memories of it and that’s why it doesn’t make sense anymore!!”
''If the parallels to our own escalatingly violent environment weren’t enough, the first page of Boom! Studios and Cartoon Network’s new, canon-approved comic, Adventure Time: Season 11, offers a haunting and hopeful message.''
it also continues the story of the main show, the characters of the comics remember events that happend on the show and events that happened in the Show are mentioned in the Comics. Simon is talking about this scene of the Show (minute 3:10).
This event refers to this scence of the show.
there is also Oliva Olsion stating this:
"Craziness and wonder aside, the best thing about Adventure Timeis the show's ability to make you feel. Great storytelling can punch you in the gut with laughter, tears or 'Woah, me too.' Playing Marceline for the past 8 years has taught me a lot about myself. Besides the whole, demon/vampire post-apocalyptic childhood, she and I have all too much in common. Some of that will definitely come out in this series. I want to thank Cartoon Network and BOOM! Studios for the opportunity to keep these characters story going. I hope to do our queen proud and keep the spirit of Adventure Tim alive undead "
While Slimm Fabert is quoted as saying
"Marceline's history with the Ice King is honestly my favorite part of Adventure Time™, so I feel very lucky to get to work on a comic that explores their relationship in the present. Olivia's script is excellent, and I'm very excited to see where the story goes from here "
Now for the ''non-canon'' statement, there is this statment regarding that
The second half of the book is basically how Marceline learns to cope after Simon departs and how she transitions into a vampire hunter. It’s slightly less interesting than the Simon parts, but still pretty great. It touches on Marceline’s emotional vulnerability after Simon leaves, and just how alone in the world she truly feels. Again, I feel as though I would have no problem accepting any of this as canon, despite the fact that some bits contradict the actual show. For instance, Marceline details herself meeting Schwabl in her endeavors, and that Schwabl was originally a rust color. During Marceline’s transition into vampirism, she sucks the red from Schwabl’s fur and is deeply ashamed of herself for doing so. Yet, in the Stakes miniseries, Schwabl is white the entire time. I think I’m more disappointed because the idea of Marceline sucking the color from Schwabl’s fur is a pretty neat concept, especially because it touches on Marceline’s struggle as a vampire and how it affects the people around her. But regardless, it doesn’t put a damper on the intentions at all, the and the Marceline portions are still tremendously well done.
so it should be usable for scaling the mainline show
The Multiverse
Something already implicit when we mention that “Hilbert's Space” in Adventure Time works with infinite branches branching out like a kind of tree that were an infinite number of trees to generate a new timeline that expanded to infinity in an infinite cycle.
The Multiverse in Adventure Time is a Hilbert space (Named, not that it really is, given the context given on the scans) that also consists of string theory. In the series, although these extra spatial dimensions are not compressed as in the microscopic one, the strings that normally should be like this can curl up and contain three-dimensional beings, like Cinnamon Bun.
Adventure Time has a hierarchy of dreams where a dream exists within a dream. There is a dreamer that dreams a dreamer that dreams a dreamer that dreams a dimension.
This pattern is repetead in a infinite recurssion.
This is all supported by The Enchiridion laying out that what The Reader is doing is sleeping and hinting at that both The Reader and The Enchiridion is inside a dream. and is about the be hit by a Comet, That will in The Enchiridion's own words be the End. The exact same situation as with The Catalyst Comet and the previous Dreamer. So this should solidify the Infinte Dream regression.
When finn used the The Glasses of Nerdicon he sees inside himself, then inside a cell, then inside a particule ,then inside a atom, then inside the same atom there is a universe, with galaxies, with the solar system ,with the earth of ooo, and he tells us that "everything small is just a small version of something big"
The Lich also states that him and his family exists on every dimension over and over again.
Jake tells Booko to enhance The Multiverse it grows larger and larger infinitely and infinitely repeats and even when the size difference of the proportions of each enchaned dimension is the same
Edit: added info to the hilbert space, just found the scans I couldn't find lmao
So overall I think Adventure time should be upgraded to low-1C based on the hilbert space and infinte regression statements. (This is my first time ever trying to upscale a verse, and also my first CRT ever, so chill on me)
