To be fair, in Amethyst's fights against Steven and Jasper, she was still able to percieve pain, and was also mentaly drained. So maybe that contributed to her exhaustion.
I mean, the Gems don't need rest, but in one episode they were so focused on a task, and had been trying to complete it...
That doesn't tell me anything, and there's another thread that has this match up where people have already said that Asgore would win, even with equalized speed.
Again, at this point, we're just discussing speculation. Besides, the main point of me bringing it up was to talk about LOVE, and explain how Asgore wouldn't really have much of it for Sans' KR to use against him.
Hm...Good point. We see a figure like him in the intro, but for all we know, that could be his dad or an ancestor. Heck, it could be a completely different Boss monster that fought in the war. In fact, now that I take a look at the dialogue with Gerson, the Angel prophecy itself may have been...
At the same time, I'm not entirely sure if Asgore himself killed the children. I mean, he had the souls contianed, but the Humans seemed to have been killed in areas throughout the Underground, lest they be armorless and weaponless by the time they met Asgore. It's also been shown that Monsters...
...Dang. I don't know if this is even relevant anymore, but I started replaying Undertale because of this. I'm back at Waterfall, and I kinda found out that the Human/Monster War didn't really have the monsters winning. In fact, the game itself said that the monsters couldn't even obtain a...
Alright. I counted the votes thus far...Yeah, Sans is in the lead, and I don't think that any of them even know about the debate that we had just done.
There's a problem with that. Most of the people that already voted haven't responded to anything we've been talking about, so we don't know if they've changed their minds , have a counterargument, or otherwise have a different point to bring up.
The people who have already voted are not likely...
And maybe whoever wins gets to tell a mod to stick a giant colorful ribbon with the name of the winning fighter on the thread. For posterity.
Actually, that's kinda what Factpile did whenever they managed to decide a winner on their own VS matches. Whoever people agreed would win ended up...
Probably the parts where Asgore has experience from fighting in the Human/Monster war (and maybe even against the other fallen humans, aside from Chara. This part is speculation, though), and when he dodged Kid Undyne's attacks for so long that he had to teach her how to beat him. Those are a...
You're joking. You have to be.
Okay, here's the thing about your comparison, other than the part where a knife and fire magic are completely different: Asgore was holding back, the entire fight. He gave Frisk a fighting chance, as evidenced by the fact that he doesn't look up at Frisk, and his...
Yes, I agree. Sans can easily dodge...a single knife slash. I mean, what's the difference between a slash that takes up an extremely small portion of the screen, and a fire spell that spreads a bullet hell across the entire screen, amiright?
So...I was told to ask my question in this thread, so...
Should I make a page for Ash Ketchum? The other one (as well as a few pokemon profiles, apparently) dissappeared for some reason.
In-game, he's been said to be able to dodge. So much so that he needed to teach someone on how to knock him down.
Sans' attack pattern is unforgiving, but fast-killing is not exactly something I'd call it, when someone has a lot more health than what Sans faces in-game. Not only that, Asgore's...
What is with Sans being put up against these immensely powerful beings? I mean, I know he's the trickiest boss in the game, but he's not going to easily match up to more than a Determined Murderer.
Still, for the sake of interest, I gotta ask...
What exactly is the "link" that Necron uses in...
Yeah...That ring thing, that's what i was talking about. Mainly because it's not "almost inescapable", since there's only a little less than half of the box for the player to use to dodge it, and fading lasers seem to be perfectly safe to touch.
Sans' initial attack...can do some damage, but...
Okay, I read the first post again, so now I can agree and admit that I made a mistake with that part.
Still, what do you mean by "Gaster Blaster spam"? Do you he could constantly use them? If so, then I agree, but the problem with that is that he can only use a certain amount of them at a time...
Okay, so now we're no longer doing fight mechanics? Even when the in-game fights are canonically the way they are to player, and have absolutely no pillars for him to hide behind regardless of where the fight began in? Not only that, we're going to assume that the place has pillars and/or...
@SomebodyData
Eh, I don't know how many times Pikachu would need to fight a metagross, but I can think of two instances where Pikachu took one on, and won. The first was in Pokemon Advanced Generation, where Ash took on Tyson's team (admittedly after some of Ash's other pokemon fought it). The...
@Dragonmasterxyz & SomebodyData
I'm not quite sure how this scaling system works (not my thing, and I like to explore the details of feats and abilities, rather than assign numbers and letters to them), but would you also have to add Metagross into the mix, since Ash's pikachu has faced and won...
As I have said before. Asgore's attacks are much more complicated for Sans to dodge. There is also a problem with your argument that Sans could just teleport away from the attacks. Here's the problem, though. They're fighting, and in-universe there's not many places for him to teleport off to in...
First things first. Sans does have the ability to dodge Chara. The problem with that in relation to this match-up, as stated several times before, is that Sans is never stated or shown to dodge more than one attack at a time. Given that Chara's attacks are singular and distributes damage upon...
I hope you read the rest of the posts first, because it's been proven via videos that KR doesn't do instant death, and Asgore has much more HP than the player does in their battle. What does this mean? It means that Asgore would be able to outlast the damage, and take his own turn. Since on his...
It is true that Pikachu was able to beat Mega Lucario in the anime, but to be fair it was after the rest of Ash's team had fought it. Even then, Pikachu looked as if he had just barely won that fight.
Still, in Ash's battle against Alain, Pikachu was able to take down two pseudo-legendary...
Oh geez, I'm not quoting all that again. It's a headache for everyone.
Anyway, what you're going off of is purely game mechanics, rather than what's been given. Asgore CAN dodge, but refused to do so against Frisk when they fought, and didn't even get the chance to finish his sentence when...
