He has replied but not fixed the calc, nor did he the last couple times you asked me to look. I dunno what to say. The first time he replied, I pointed out his method still didn't match the previously accepted one, and it still doesn't.
Could you please comment on this thread?
    Hey Bambu

If you have he time could you please give your input on this thread please?

So the Sonic 3 movie is out and long story short there’s a giant cannon that was gonna blow up the planet. It’s specifically stated that the explosion will be 25,000 mile radius. Dale can’t seem to properly calc it so I’m wondering if we can just it’s 5-a based off of said statement?
    Dalesean027
    Dalesean027
just figuring out how to account for the actual range we're given but yeah I've no qualms myself with it being just baseline 5-B
    The_one_you_least_expect
    The_one_you_least_expect
Eh, you the radius itself is arguably implied to just be from the blast itself not gbe. But if that’s still not enough then it is what it is
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Well, no. You could use the radius or the blast, both would be acceptable (and maybe there's more to it, I haven't seen the movie and can only work with the intel you provide- if there's more to it, I rely on you to let me know). What I'm saying is that 5-B, as the GBE, is likely higher than just a 25,000 mile radius explosion would yield.

Let me demonstrate. This is not an explosion that is ground-based, as it is technically larger than the diameter (and even circumference) of Earth. Still, I'll calculate it as both a ground-based explosion, and an airburst one, because I don't know what form the explosion would have taken in the movie.

    Airburst: Y = ((x/0.28)^3)/1000

    where x = 40233.6 / 2 = 20116.8 km

    So

    Y = ((20116.8/0.28)^3)/1000 = 3.7085e11 Megatons of TNT, or 1.552e27 Joules, or about midway through High 6-A.

    Groundburst: W = R^3*((27136*P+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2

    where R = 20116800 m

    P = At least 1.37895 bars

    So

    W = 20116800^3*((27136*1.37895+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2 = 6.543e17 Tons of TNT, or 2.738e27 Joules, marginally higher into High 6-A.

If it would destroy the world (as in, crack it apart), then that's suitable for 5-B, but any calculation of the explosion itself will not yield a comparable value.

I've created a thread to get the new glass breaking formula officially approved. Can you give your opinion? And can you ping the other CGMs?
Mr. Mambu What are your thoughts on the new Elden Ring trailer?

It looks like the closest thing FromSoft has come to making slop. I'm reserving final judgment for the final product but suffice to say a Hunt Showdown esque battle Royale attempting to cashing in on all previous IPs seems... not like something one would hope they'd spend time on.

I just want to check with you if this thread's OK + if you could, within the thread itself, could we discuss about whether it is possible (AND whether it is a good idea) to add a section in the Home Page that reflects the section of the members page for the members whose birthday is on the current day itself, since this may be a better idea than notifications?

^As usual, leaving a message to make sure both that it is not missed and that if not responded to it can be taken as a no 😅

I don't think it breaks any rules, although given the existence of the birthday thing already, it may also not serve much point. You're free to have the thread, though.
    Hello, good morning
how can I open a staff thread for the addition of a scaling rule?
    noninho
    noninho
I just didn't know if there was a rule so i asked you

May I ask for your permission to suggest a rule as a staff thread for the Dragon Ball page and Master Roshi's profile specifically?

We have seen the same topic since 2016, the downgrade of his 5C level on the early keys, having both sides giving the same arguments from the start, and getting much spite/"heatness" on every (long, as it's always more than 5 pages) thread made for the topic, so I want to ban the creation of further threads on the topic
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I don't want to give permission to create a thread on a subject I myself would not contribute to- this fits in that category. I'm not saying it's not a sensible thing to discuss, I really couldn't say one way or the other, I have no familiarity with it- but as I wouldn't contribute, I shouldn't sign off on it, y'know?

So, you should ask someone else, I think. Probably a Dragon Ball staff member.

Hi, could you check this CRT? Is just a profile rework for one character, so is really minor; I need 2 more staffs

    What the hell

Why does it display it like that lol
Hello! If you have time, can you check this out?
Hi, I'm sorry to be here again.
Last time, I asked you about Non-Physical Interaction, and you mentioned something about the soul being able to be proven as physical. I'm just curious: if a soul is pressed or crushed by an object, such as a building, that clearly has no form of NPI, could this be considered proof that the soul is physical?

And on the NPI page, the description mentions that interacting with fire is also considered NPI. I wonder if this means that a character who has fire manipulation would be considered to have NPI.
    Detective_Blizzard
    Detective_Blizzard
Not the guy you asked, but this would be better asked in Questions and Answers.

Personally have no answer about the building thing, but no a character with Fire Manipulation wouldn't have NPI as they just have Fire Manipulation. There are many applications of the ability and they'd need to do something like physically grab the element or something similar to have NPI as opposed to simply generating/controlling flames via an ability.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Fire manipulation is not NPI- it is a particular thing one can control, it doesn't extend to the broad spectrum of things like fire.

As for the soul thing, speaking in hypotheticals is difficult because every situation will be different. But if it were consistently displayed to have situations like that, then yeah, it probably wouldn't be considered non-physical.

Thank you for your helpful response.🙏
Heya! Sorry to bother you, but could you come here whenever you have a couple of minutes? Thank you in advance!

Howdy, apologies for bothering you about this again but I figured it's something worth mentioning. Since the Composite revision changes nothing for the verse from it's current, wouldn't that make it a minor revision only needing 1 vote for it?

I've already asked some other staff to look at it but I figured it's worth asking since the nonsensical back and forth me and the other user had is likely going to deter some people from looking at it.
    Detective_Blizzard
    Detective_Blizzard
Fair enough, thank you for all the help. I know know firsthand how absurd this verse can get, so I very much understand the difficulty of other people trying to review the insanity I bring.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
To be honest, it's just that there's not enough active staff willing to read through all that. I sincerely believe that the best thing any user on this wiki can do to get their threads evaluated is to make them as straightforward and concise as possible, hah.

Regardless. I wish you luck in getting someone to look through it.
    Detective_Blizzard
    Detective_Blizzard
I understand and agree that things should be more straightforward and concise. Though as you saw interactions between me and that user can turn a topic that only needs a few sentences into some annoyingly long fight.

I appreciate the advice all the same though.
Another Parasyte upgrade but there was a debate regarding Shinichi's movement speed, which I thought would be a simple self-evident upgrade. If you have time, I would appreciate if you can look at it.

As it is unrelated to my ban, I'm posting it here as not to clog the thread.

Shouldn't an actual time be decided for DMM? Users are usually allowed to come back if they ask for their ban to be lifted. Without a set time, it makes it hard to decide when he should be allowed to ask for a ban lift.

Better to decide now since the incident is fresh.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
A user would be required to contact us to undo a permanent ban regardless; the context of his ban is available in our Warning Tracker, so it won't be hard for him to do that. As for coming back too soon, I sincerely doubt this will be an issue; I would not have suggested more than a month or two for his behavior today, and I think anyone asking for a permanent ban would not return so quickly. Even if he did, we can work with the context of his offense to determine whether he ought to be unbanned at that time.

    It's a good question, but I don't think it'll be an issue.
Hi, would you mind if I ask you some questions about the rules and conditions for claiming the ability "Non-physical Interaction" for a character?

If Character A uses their power to harm a soul, but meanwhile Character B, who does not have any supernatural powers, can also touch and kick the soul, does that mean Character B has the "Non-physical Interaction" ability, or does it imply that the soul is not considered a non-physical entity?

For example, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, some characters like Dr. Strange, Wong, and Scarlet Witch have the ability "Non-physical Interaction" by harming the soul. However, in one scene, Christine Palmer is also able to kick a soul.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I don't want to speak on the Marvel example because I know nothing about it.

If a soul is proven to be physically tangible, interacting with it is not non-physocal interaction. Otherwise, it is.
