Why 5-A

Because it’s greater than Uranus and Neptunes radius.so I kinda assumed the explosion would just generally be bigger

GBE tends to return greater than explosions. Explosion calcs are fairly simple, what exactly is the holdup? Is there more context?

@Dalesean027 Can you run me through what's going on with this?

In the new sonic movie we get a statement for the planet destruction of the eclipse cannon but we've been trying to figure out how to go about doing this statement
he says "the eclipse is about to turn this planet into a flaming pile of rubble, wiping out everything in a 25000 mile radius"

They also say the destruction will also kill them in space on the ark as well (basically Gerald's Elaborate suicide and last **** you to the world). Basically just trying to determine what the best way to go about calculating it would be considering its at worst just baseline 5-B but given we're given the actual range we're trying to try something more

To be honest, why baseline 5-B? It seems likely I'm missing something, but reducing the world to rubble has fairly good odds of not reaching that (surface wiping calcs and all). Is the planet split apart by the blast?

We don't get the visual because like they don't want to world to explode ofc soo we just get them blocking and deflecting it with it splitting the moon in half with the last of its energy but the whole narrative thing was that it'd destroy earth and kill them in space as well all from that same single blast

If it was stated to be able to destroy the Earth (as in, break it apart), then that's fine, then.

As I said above, I believe a 25,000 mile blast radius would not yield more than 5-B; if that is the case, what more is there to consider?
