Aye, I saw. A manitou was not what I had been expectin'. Imagery used reminds me of the Leshen boss fight from the Monster Hunter x Witcher crossover.

Well for the Manitou, I chose it because I recently discovered it while learning on Fiend Lore of D&D and honestly anything that can be used as a big bad for a primarily Ranger campaign is pretty cool. As for design, your profile pic reminds me of Specimen 8 who is a deer guardian and the guy also has a connection to nature or similar things.

It's a neat coincidence and I did foreshadow such an entity in @BEASTHEART880 and @Soupywolf5's bosses so I was just waiting for a chance to use it. Thanks for coming, I loved the opportunity
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Ah. Fiend lore is an apt connection, I suppose. My profile picture is a depiction of Baphomet.
Dread Emperor vs Raikou has happened. I'll just let you know here before @Tllmbrg or @Qawsedf234 drags you in unwittingly. Anyway, usual list of questions
    1. Violet Fungus has a reaction speed value... How exactly does that thing dodge?
    2. Against intelligent animals that have thought, can they be controlled by the Elder Treant?
    3. How exactly does its damage reduction work? Please tell me it's not Type 9 Immortality too...
    4. Now I know that the gods and abominations are smurfs. For the ones without the Wish spell, do their haxes stop at Low 1-C or at 2-C/2-A? Because there's another entire verse with Low 1-C haxes and Low 6-B to 6-B physically
    5. How does the Devastation Vermin's damage reduction work?
    Qawsedf234
    Qawsedf234
    1. The Fungi in question is a Violent Funji who has feet
      • This human-sized mushroom has four tendrillike tentacles and a mass of small, rootlike feelers at its base that enable it to move slowly.
    2. There's both a size and training limitation for animal messenger
      • You compel a Tiny animal to go to a spot you designate. The most common use for this spell is to get an animal to carry a message to your allies. The animal cannot be one tamed or trained by someone else, including such creatures as familiars and animal companions.

Using some type of food desirable to the animal as a lure, you call the animal to you. It advances and awaits your bidding. You can mentally impress on the animal a certain place well known to you or an obvious landmark. The directions must be simple, because the animal depends on your knowledge and can’t find a destination on its own. You can attach some small item or note to the messenger. The animal then goes to the designated location and waits there until the duration of the spell expires, whereupon it resumes its normal activities.

During this period of waiting, the messenger allows others to approach it and remove any scroll or token it carries. The intended recipient gains no special ability to communicate with the animal or read any attached message (if it’s written in a language he or she doesn’t know, for example).
    3. The Treant's Damage Reduction is just a flat DR 10/- rate. Meaning it will just negate a certain amount of damage
    4. Without Wish or manipulation of some weird multi-dimensional item they tend to top out at 2-A to Low 1-C. Immortals are the only ones who get to 1-B and Low 1-A without technically being smurfs.
    5. Like with the Treant's all Devastation Vermin just have a flat damage negation aspect of DR.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
Didn't expect to see you here but I do remember that regular users can ping others when typing in a profile comment. Thanks anyway!
Alright, here are some more questions for my next matches
    1. What does Nezrebe start with?
    2. I noticed that Neh-Thalggu also doesn't have the Type 9 Immortality like Father Llymic and based on your previous comment, do we also not know what he does with the 1-A shit? Because this thing seems to have even less aspirations and just wants to collect brains
    3. When comparing the Ghoul page with the Skeleton page, the latter seems very lacking despite them being pretty famous fodder undead. Based on the list of existing skeletons in the note, shouldn't there be Variants at 9-A to 8-A?
    4. So I recently discovered that Hags in a coven get an extra list of spells they can do. Should there be another key for the hags' abilities that they get via working together?
    5. What happens when a Desiccator uses its ability on a water elemental?
    6. Conversely, what happens when it uses its ability on an elemental or creature lacking water, like a golem or a fire elemental?
    7. Should the Elder Evils get power bestowal since warlocks can make pacts with them and get cool spells?
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
    Ah, that sucks

Oh well, CRT isn't done yet. Also holy shit, +6? That's a lot of plains they're hanging out at once
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Aye, the Epic Level Handbook specifically takes shit to an absurd extent.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
I already warned @DemonicDude not to add any matches to Hagunemnon's profile so don't worry too much. We're just having fun there
Usual list of questions. Also the CY-BORG drafts look good
    1. Do the lower tier outsiders have any form of smurfs besides resurrection? I'm planning on pitting them against a bunch of guys with 4-D Type 2 Madness that's also +1 layers
    2. Is the Doppelganger's telepathy layered? First key by the way
    3. What does Janma Gleamsilver usually start with and what attacks does she spam?
    4. Why is it that a lot of the "Humanoid Races" are mostly just 9-B or 9-A? Isn't it a common occurrence for player characters to eventually reach god tier levels of power regardless of what class or species they choose? Unless most of those guys aren't playable
    5. What are the layers of mind manip resistance possessed by Vermin and Oozes?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Aye, meant to work on 'em more but... well I didn't.

    1. Probably better to just not do that. Outsiders don't inherently have smurfshit, so those would be stomps.
    2. Layered as in, resistance piercing or whatever? Yeah.
    3. I had to actually look at the image to even remember who that was. Nothing is really explained about her common strategies in the book, except that she's prone to pure and simple killing when it's the best route. Her only confirmed kill was by a one-hit quick stab on some random grunt, so how she'd handle an equal is questionable, though given her spell loadout it seems likely she'd use some of it. She is prone to stealthing it out when possible.
    4. I think you're looking at the question quite poorly. The pages are for a general individual, just like how we'd make a page for a normal average human 10-B, even though there are many individuals above this tier. Same here. Those pages represent average individuals of those races.
    5. Vermin and ooze are just outright immune to it in-game. Ooze are immune due to being mindless though.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
    1. Damnit
    2. Shit I already made the match. Uh, how many layers?
    3. OK that's good
    4. Ah, OK. So potential isn't counted
    5. Huh, so basically even the strongest mind manip in the verse doesn't work on those two?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Shit I already made the match. Uh, how many layers?
    Seems like three. Not much.

Huh, so basically even the strongest mind manip in the verse doesn't work on those two?
More or less. Can't mind control something without a mind. People often say that you can but generally I suspect it's something similar- you could in theory control a slime, just not by mind fuckery. I have no idea why a spider is immune, it just is. The game grants them the status of mindless despite accepting that they can be intelligent.
Can you apply the changes from this crt?

Can you at least give some staff input so the changes can be applied?
    Mr. Bambu
Can you give your input on this calc that was done by another user for Evelyn Quan Wang?

Also, I created a CRT for the character profile two months ago and haven’t received any official feedback on it. Can you help me with to get validation on my requests?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I've taken a look at the calc and approved it, though I think it could be done better. I can check out the CRT.
    Hello.

Can you please link me to the Official Calculations Discussions Thread, should you be able to? I've heard in multiple posts that it's a thing, but I'm unable to find it, and I'm extremely new to calculations and I have a question. I figured it would be more appropriate to discuss my problem in the appropriate thread.

If you can deliver, it would be much appreciated, but if not, that is also fine. My question is incredibly minor.

I see, is there any possible way to get the exact energy by shaking stuff besides using the earthquake value?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Personally, I don't know of one- I've checked in the past and found nothing concrete to use. You may be able to use KE over the distance the moon travels? Shaking is, after all, just a bit of movement.
    Propellus
    Propellus
Perhaps the calc can be re-looked at using the mercalli scale?
Ah, changed your banner I see. I am waiting patiently... Anyway, usual list of questions
    1. How does the Worm of Minauros' Type 4 Immortality work?
    2. Volo is gonna join a tourney and possibly make a guidebook on D&D in VSBW. What does he start with and what are his skill feats (Seeing as to how survived long enough to document all those books about various dangerous creatures)
    3. Are there any negative effects on mortals in the Outer Planes? Because Klysandral's Incorporeality relies on it and I don't think you want to go back to that match
    4. Are there any negative effects on mortals in the Ethereal Planes? Planning on a match for the Ethereal Filcher
    5. What's the name of the realm where elementals go when they die?
    6. Regarding the words on some profiles being "can be hit only by +2 magical weapons and above", does that mean they're intangible to physical weapons or does that just mean they'll eventually respawn if killed without it?
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
Hmm, and combat applicability (The Type 4 part)?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
No idea how long it takes, it solely states that it will always come back. If we were to base it on a devil, it regenerates instantly in its home plane (Minauros). However, as it is a magic item, this wouldn't be an incredibly solid assumption.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
    Yes! Thank you
No Brony shit yet (Though low tier weebery did happen to the Chuul but nothing too significant). Anyway, another list of questions, sorry if done too fast...
    1. What happens if the Intellect Devourer attempts its teleportation into a creature with no brain, like a golem or an ooze?
    2. While reading through Marut's lore in the wiki, it is stated that one of its targets are lichs. Have all the lichs in VSBW (Such as Aumvor) defeated these guys? Considering in-verse match for them
    3. For creatures with smurf haxes (Tier 6 and above) are they baseline 4-D or do they have layers as well? Considering Tier 2 matches for them
    4. Does the Fomorian's curse have an effect on a target's charisma? Since it does make them ugly
    5. Can the Siege Crab's forcefield be dispelled or just damaged by physical or elemental attacks?
    6. Can werecreatures be affected by the curses of other werecreatures (Like if a WereBear bites a WereRat)? In fact can they even bypass each others' damage reduction? And can the damage reduction be bypassed with basic haxes (Like poison, fire, ice, electricity, etc)
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. I believe they detect the presence of such things so I don't see why they'd do it. Also they can't teleport into solid matter, the things that let you do that specifically state it (e.g., the spell "teleport").
    2. Most likely? The liches on the wiki are those that are particularly notable so I'd have to imagine they would have fought a Marut, though that isn't a guarantee. To my knowledge, none of them have 100% of their battles documented, so it's unknown I suppose.
    3. Layers as well.
    4. Charisma isn't really a measure of beauty, it's just often associated with it. It's closer to being a force of personality.
    5. If one can get over the resistance to power null, then yeah, they ought to be able to dispel it.
    6. Fun fact, no! There's a point in Curse of Strahd where two werewolves fight and they are totally unable to damage each other. The damage reduction can mechanically, unknown in-lore- it's just always magic and silver.
So, another series of questions for future matches (Also another reason I ask here is to easily link the answers to any match I make)
    1. Do Medusa and Gorgon's victims retain their sapience? (Meaning can still think)
    2. What is Primus' dimensionalities? Or in other words, is he over 4-D?
    3. When Orcus killed him, was it a struggle or a stomp?
    4. How fast does the Phase Spider's poison kill?
    5. When given prep time, what does the Beholder do, assuming they lack minions?
    6. Where can I view the page for accepted general resistances (in D&D)?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I will be greatly disappointed if you make a fight for difficult-to-deal-with weebshit once more.

    1. I don't believe so, no. It is considered an equivalent fate to death, however ignores resurrection rules (so they maintain their soul, but cannot perform actions).
    2. 4-D, as I've recently remembered anybody with wish can use 1-A shit.
    3. Unknown, but probably a stomp. Last Word Orcus was going to slaughter the entire sphere of gods straight up to the Lady of Pain before he was ended.
    4. Normally pretty quickly, for comparable enemies it'll generally be a minute or less.
    5. Prepare for every single eventuality in equal measure. Their form of preparation often looks like just theorizing about what will be the most effective against x threat. They may take to magical traps or even items but for the most part they value just knowing what to do.
    6. It's incomplete but it ain't half bad.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
Your first answer canceled one of my matches. However, Primus just being 4-D does allow me to make a few nice thematic matches (That being Discord and Dr. Fate since Tier 2 are typically 4-D). So yeah, no weeb shit, don't worry.

Also holy shit, Beholder with prep and prior knowledge would be pretty damn dangerous to anything without smurf haxes.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    Brony shit isn't much better

Beholders are sort of nuts, yeah. They don't gain many powers by prep by default but they legitimately are considered capable of preparing for any eventuality, no matter how absurd.
Alright, some questions for future matches and possibly profiles
    1. Some time ago, I found this cool occurrence called the Great Modron March. Do you think we can make it into a team format?
    2. When in the presence of a Dragon, what would Kobolds do when given prep time? And if a specific is needed, a Young Red Dragon
    3. To avoid the situation in the previous Giant Croc thread, is there any particular moves that the Dire Bear can do and what skill feats does it have?
    4. Does silver act as a dura negation method against werecreatures or does the wielder also sufficient AP
    5. Seeing as to how the Beholder is considered to be a mastermind, do they have any particular minions to help them with their plans?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
I'll be dragged in anyhow, Tllm is a very evil man.

By the way. If you like, and if you have Discord, I can invite yah to the DnD VSBW server. Not super active but it's another place to ask.

    Anywho.

    1. It's not really a team, and it would just be the same profile as the Modern page.
    2. Anything the dragon told them to, barring wacky occurrences. If given no orders, trap the **** out of the dragon's lair.
    3. You're better off asking Tllm this one. He's the Dire monster guy.
    4. Not Dura neg, just negates their damage reduction. Given that they can tank High 6-A with said damage reduction, silver is important.
    5. Often, yes. They'll probably form factions around themselves and gather armies of slaves. I had actually been working on a page for one of these faction, Xanathar's Thieves Guild.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
    Hmm... OK, thanks!

Also, how do you get dragged into these matches? Via Discord or PMs?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Largely Discord. We communicate on there.
Well... I guess I can probably stop asking about how the CY-BORG verse is going. Anyway, usual list of questions on D&D
    1. I noticed that a lot of Outsiders lacked resistances on abilities their kin share, the most noticeable being fear and corruption which I presume are passives
    2. This not only affects the demons but also other outsiders with different affinities like the Modron. Since they're specifically Lawful Neutral and many of the demons can turn people evil and things like that. Even Primus has no resistances to those abilities
    3. Are the Abominations smurfs? Because I'm starting to reconsider my options with the Dream Larva
    4. What does the Dread Emperor start with? And are his haxes smurfs as well?
    5. I noticed that sometimes for the link of the justification on Magic for some of the pages, it links to Mystra's page who was described as the God of Magic on the notes. So why is it that Elder Evils sometimes come without magic negation despite its nature being divine?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Everyone has resistance to those, it's just locked away down in the Standard Resistances tab. 'pologies. The sandbox cites sources for them at least.
    3. Yeah, 6-C and up are 4-D. The Abominations even specifically have god powers, since they're the bastard spawn of deities.
    4. Man. I'm going to say "give me a sec" here just to acknowledge that I need to go look that up, even though this message will reach you at the same time either way: Okay. So his favorite tactics are stat amp and then cast as many outright damaging spells as he can, preferring as much environmental damage as possible, as quickly as possible. The stat amp doubles his speed for the stat amp. OR- mass mind control. He implicitly ignores the mind control's requirement that the individual can't be forced to harm themselves as they're generally found slaughtered.
    5. Mystra is, physically, the Weave that allows magic to permeate reality by basically filtering it down from the Serpent. The Elder Evils negate one particular subsection of magic, that being Divine magic- the specific mechanics generally aren't explained, although the Elder Evils sourcebook is certainly aware of how divine magic works, as Sertrous' section specifically cites how it works. They, specifically, do not negate Arcane magic nor Primal magic.
OK, I'm currently facing a problem. What are the dimensionalities of the abilities of the Yugoloth (Charon's species)?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
4-D. Everyone 6-C and up in D&D has 4-D shit scaling to Epic Level Magic. Though, I should note that certain 6-Cs are below this, albeit a very sparse few.
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    OH WAIT

Okay, sorry, I read that wrong. I thought you were asking what dimensionality Charon was, as he is a unique form of Yugoloth. Rather you're asking about Yugoloth's in general.

Varies. Lesser guys are normal joes, upper guys are 4-D. That includes Charon, Anthraxus, and the General of Gehenna.
I have returned with yet another list of questions
    1. How would Dread Akünh's flower abilities interact with an undead?
    2. Is her dimension in a higher plain?
    3. What does Charon typically start with?
    4. What does Drizzt Do'Urden start with, with and without stealth?
    5. The Elder Evils' power null is merely applicable on Divine Casting or does it work on a lot of things (Including magic)?
    6. Due to the examples usually being for gods, why don't they have Subjective Reality in their list of resistances as that is the base for divine casters?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Dunno. Suppose it'd depend on whether the undead has feats of resisting.
    2. Nope, not specifically stated so. No smurfs in MORK BORG.
    3. Charon's a rough bag to state that for, since he's at the point of intelligence and with such a varied moveset that he doesn't really have one set starting point. I'd say he is most motivated by the collection of souls, is the best I can do for you. This reminds me, I ought to add references to him when my crusade is done.
    4. No idea, really. Drizzt is a shitty page rn and I just wouldn't use him if I were you.
    5. Solely the Divine. If you are a deity or if your power results from a deity, passive 4-D powernull for you. Outside of their other stuff, of course.
    6. They don't really resist it so much as negate it from happening. I suppose they might resist it under a certain interpretation, if we were to assume they negged all forms of Subjective Reality that worked similarly, mechanically to divine casters. Might be a stretch, though.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
Alright then, continuing with the topic of Dread Akunh, do the effects of her flowers allow her to win a battle? Because at least while reading through the scan, I didn't notice anything that takes away self-control or things like that (Like with Goblins for example). Also on the aging in reverse, does it just turn someone younger?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
Some of it may well assist her, at least. Having your vision flare up with something unrelated to combat at the worst time would be a fairly severe passive effect.

Yeah, but implicitly at a normal speed. So every second, you grow one second younger. Extremely unlikely to matter in a fight, except maybe for like... maybe a unique reaction to people who gain powers over time or smth.
Congrats in the 500 pages! Also as usual, here's a list of questions
    1. If I were to one day make an in-verse match between god-tiers of D&D, would you mind helping me? Because you seem to be the most knowledgeable on the topic
    2. It says in Father Llymic's profile that he has a true form. Why does he not have Type 9 Immortality?
    3. Is his avatar a smurf?
    4. Can the Female Hulks of Zoretha function without their male?
    5. Regarding the Dream Larva's death manip, that only affects people who can see through Illusion Creation, right?
    6. Would someone with Dream Manip be able to interact with it on the account that Dream Larva embodies the concept of a dream?
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Eh. I just don't like matches much, least of all high-powered matches. The gods all have a relatively set power level so under a normal VS match, the most interesting ones immediately fall out- if it's a deity, we defer to their divine rank, boom, whoever is higher wins.
    2. I suppose I hadn't thought of it. I don't recall if his true form is still roaming the Far Realm or not. Father Llymic's "true form" is just him out, untethered in the Far Realm. Basically, to enter our reality (for whatever alien machinations these creatures have), they risk death by condensing themselves down to have all these pesky dimensions. So I think it's just Father Llymic, and then as he appears in the Far Realm- his true form.
    3. Yeh. It's manipulating the Far Realm passively, we just don't really know what the **** that's doing. The idea is that he is going to make the multiverse and the Far Realm occupy the exact same space, so he has 1-A shit, we just... can't discern what that hax actually lets him do.
    4. As far as I can tell, yeh.
    5. Nope. Affects everyone. Look at it and die.
    6. That's not really stated anywhere. In D&D, dreams manifest on a real, albeit abstract, level. Interacting with them is no different than interacting with an angel or demon.
    Peppersalt43
    Peppersalt43
    1. Hmm, interesting. And where do I find this divine rank?
    2. Huh, that's a good explanation
    3. OK so his smurf haxes are unknown. What are the things his avatar starts with?
    4. OK, cool
    5. The reason I asked is because of its shape-shifting meaning it's never really in its true form
    6. Ah, so I still need Abstract Existence NPI
    Mr. Bambu
    Mr. Bambu
    1. Most gods have one listed somewhere. It'd depend on the god. Divine Ranks number 0-20, with every interval of 5 representing an ascension upwards (Demigod, Lesser Deity, Intermediate Deity, and Greater Deity). Only Vecna has reached Divine Rank 20, when he battled the Lady of Pain in Sigil.
    3. If the passive freeze doesn't work, Llymic will go for implanting them with a Brood Seed, thus turning them into one of his malefic spawn. Assuming he doesn't have any allies, he specifically goes for spamming Power Null if enemies prove resistant to his cold, aside from his melee attacks and Brood Seed thing.
    5. Aye, but regardless, witnessing it at all kills you off. Book is rather specific about that.
    6. Most likely, aye.
I have now uploaded 500 pages, with Iggwilv, representing one of the most massive profiles I've ever worked on, being my 500th. Quite chuffed.
Hi Bambu, IK ur probably busy but could you re-evaluate this calc?

It's important for LS specifically, so if you could just evaluate that, then I'd greatly appreciate it.

I have a series of questions
    1. How potent is the ice manip of the Low 7-Bs and 6-Cs of D&D?
    2. Does Gar Shatterkeel and Ras Nsi have any skillfeats?
    3. How fast does Olhydra return to the physical plain on death?
    4. Are there any canonical fights that have happened between the god-tiers (Of D&D)?
    5. What does Ras Nsi usually start with?
    6. How fast does he resurrect?

    1. Extremely limited for those guys. The most typical spellcasters get, normally, is enough to freeze a person solid instantly. Olhydra has generally this except spread out to a much larger range, she isn't an ice elemental or anything of that sort. Her attacks just deal cold damage.
    2. Generals and warlords fall into the same category as Ras Nsi, people who personally killed thousands. I believe Daren Timbide is a good comparison. Great champions of kings and so on. Gar is a weirder case since iirc he was just a guy before being elevated to his current position. He's a skilled enough fighter, judging by his attack bonus, but I don't believe he has any claim to scaling aside from being generally above average.
    4. I see. Yeah, the gods engage in open combat super ******* often.
