Within Re:Zero, there exists a character by the name of Regulus Corneas, within the current wiki page linked previously, he has multiple hax, but, surprisingly— not the hax that he's known for, acausality.

But, before we get into that, what is acausality? Well, VSBW defines it as follows:
“Acausality is the ability to act unrestrained by conventional cause and effect, on a scale that varies depending on the character. For some characters, this means not being affected by changes to the past; for others, this means defying all logic and acting with disregard for traditional causality.”

But, this is vague, so they subsequently have different types. The types I will argue for Regulus Corneas to receive are types 1 and 4, along with possibly 2 and 5. So, all four must be defined.

Type 1: Time Paradox Immunity: Characters with this type of Acausality are rendered immune to changes in the past and standard temporal paradoxes, but remain just as vulnerable in the present and can be affected by normal Causality Manipulation and similar abilities.”

“Type 2: Temporal Singularity: Characters with this type of Acausality do not exist in either the past or the future, only the present. This means they cannot be affected by changes to the past, while also making them resistant to Precognition that works by viewing the future, as they do not exist within it, and Fate Manipulation, for the same reason. In essence, they are able to choose their own fates, but they remain just as vulnerable at the point in time in which they do exist.”

“Type 4: Irregular Causality: Characters with this type of Acausality operate on a different and irregular system of cause and effect than regular causality. This has the potential to grant them resistances to abilities such as Causality Manipulation, Fate Manipulation, and Precognition, among others, depending on its shown capabilities which should be specified on the given page.”

“Type 5: Causality Transcendence: Characters with this type of Acausality are completely independent of cause and effect, existing outside causality. Characters of this nature require evidence of being unable to be changed by any effect that relies on a system of causality, meaning that interacting with them normally is impossible... ...Note: Being completely independent of space, time, laws, or similar forces does not make you completely independent of causality without the relationship between these forces and causality being clarified, with it only being considered as evidence for an irregular relationship with causality otherwise.”
Now that we understand four of the five types, specifically the four relevant types, arguments for Regulus Corneas possessing each one will be made in order of likelyhood. That means we'll go from the most supported to the least. Which is the following order:

Acausality Type 4
Acausality Type 2
Acausality Type 3
Acausality Type 5

So, let's begin.

Regulus's Abilities and Arguments

First and foremost, Regulus Corneas's ability works by stopping time within his own body. This frees him from all physical limitations, concepts, and even laws of the world. This also has the effect of stopping all means of change within himself.

Given the evidence, it seems very clear and that he either (1) operates on a seperate system of cause and effect, or (2) operates without cause and effect while lion heart is active. Given that, an given further context from the series, it seems that (1) is more probable, and hence, type 4 is as well. The reason we say type 4 is more probable is due to the limitations of his ability. Being that lionheart needs to be active for this to work; thus, instead of being devoid of causality as a whole, it seems far more likely that he simply operates on a different level of causality, hence qualifying for type 4. This is consistent with the fact that he was utterly immune to physical attacks, magical attacks, among others.

Next, for type 1 and 2, the arguments are quite simple. If he exists in a stage devoid of time; in his own flow or cause and effect, how would he be affected by timeline shifts, and how would he exist on seperate temporal points.

Finally, for type 5, self-admittedly this is very unlikely, but it feels like it's worth mentioning; with his ability, as seen in the original explanation, with lionheart active he goes through no change whatsoever. So, you could very well make a case that he's devoid of it, but given the “on-off” nature of lionheart, type 4 seems more likely.

Thus, I propose that Regulus Corneas should have the following hax added to his profile:
Acausality Types 1, 2, and 4; and possibly 5.

Disagree: Zabazab, MrTayman616
Neutral:
Agree with Type 4 but Not Type 5: UrongSygn1, Lloydblitzed, Hercules1125, TheReal7Cris, Nonynho, SatellaTheWoE

It's not that acausality wasn't spoken of nor he never had it. You can see it here

It's been up for months, and I already made this, plus I have seperate arguments, it seems easier to just do this

Also, it seems like his was denied, subsequently I have seperate arguments in favor of type 4. So this is a different thing

Yeah Regulus dont having Acausuality of any type is just dumb tbh, Possibly type 5 is reasonable, but wouldnt that give Pandora Acausuality negation via being able to yknow, user her authority on him?

Yeah type 5 isn’t getting accepted
I mean wouldnt Regulus's authority make him inmune to Minerva's? Which changes cause & effect to heal iirc? Like its a law and Regulus ignores laws (Among the rules of the world, cause and effect as well as the laws of fate are included)

Given the evidence, [...] type 4.
type 4 was debated in the other thread who had basically the same arguments, so i'll skip that

Next, for type 1 and 2[...]
This needs feats to back it up properly, and other than RtZ i can't recall any time travel in Re:Zero, and if there are, you'd have to show it here that Regulus isn't changed by attempts to change his past and/or his future failing

Finally, for type 5

This is him "getting interacted with"
So... why and how could Reinhard interact with him? And which evidence would further the exact interpretation for type 5?

Sorry, but i disagree with this one today

Cause and effect is a vague concept by itself ngl, furthermore can VSBW define what they mean by cause and effect before they add a causality as a hax

Is the last part troll? Did you like forget that they turned off his ability for that to happen or what? Al and Subaru both have time travel too, it’s unknown how Regulus interacts with it though.

I mean that was when he was with his authority disabled. Also if you argue that he was still pushed around with his authority on:
"Regulus' only gets knocked back because he allows it to happen with his authority,"

I mean wouldnt Regulus's authority make him inmune to Minerva's? Which changes cause & effect to heal iirc? Like its a law and Regulus ignores laws (Among the rules of the world, cause and effect as well as the laws of fate are included)
Yeah Minerva twists the laws of the world, Regulus ignores them

What are the new arguments that weren't present in the previous one?

I mean, type 1 and 2 is new because no one ever argued for them as far as i remember but argument for type 4 and 5 is just the same, no?

No offense to zab, but I believe he didn't explain, represent, or debate the argument properly. And I believe my argument has some minor distinctions. Thus I made this, beating Zab on this topic isn't equivalent to beating me here. So, the discussion will be reopened.

“This needs feats to back it up properly, and other than RtZ i can't recall any time travel in Re:Zero, and if there are, you'd have to show it here that Regulus isn't changed by attempts to change his past and/or his future failing”
RTZ 😭😭 Larp check. Anyways, we do have more instances, such as Matrix. Furthermore, we can just make an abductive case for type 1 and 2, given the nature of RBD, Matrix, etc; along with Arc 3, Arc 5, and the Pride IF. While it's true we haven't seen a direct onscreen attempt to rewrite his past, we can definitely infer so from the pride IF, and perhaps early arc 5.

Also, I'm fine with type 5 being denied, I said this myself.

I don't see how these arguments differ significantly from previous threads. I'm gonna disagree with any type of acausality for now.
Don’t blame you for not seeing it, but hey
What are the new arguments that weren't present in the previous one?

No clue if it’s the same, haven’t read the old thread and don’t really plan to, what were the responses

Uh... What about Minerva's authority and the fact that Regulus would likely just, ignore It? Like Regulus is Unbound by all laws and concepts of the world, cause & effect are also part of those laws and fate too.

You could make this case

Thank ya for reading unlike a few people here 😭

No offense but there are a few distinctions, and I don't think you responded to critiques correctly nor competently.

Can you point out the distinctions please🙏

Would be easier for previous voters to check them as well.
Look at the Minerva law arguments made In responses, and the law thing in general. In particular, look at Hercules1125 and Urong, they build further upon the concept. The major distinction is the law idea is built upon, and I feel as if I can respond to critiques and explain better than Zab (no shade to him)

Acausality would make him aware of Return From Death?
Also, how does he have acausality if someone with the ability to control causality affects him?

Layers and Acausuality negation, we already know RBD overrwrites Al's territory so.

How would it make aware of RBD??? 😭 Also, who controls him with causality manip?

Impossible to know. I think he would. But time-stop alone could allow him to ignore her causality manipulation too. A cause cannot lead to an effect over the course of zero time.
I mean, Regulus being stopped in time is only one of the things he has, like he is Unbound by laws and concepts, not just time, iirc? Like he can well, Spatial Manip, i dont think thats only time stop dawg
