Roblox DOORS Discussion Thread: The Hotel

Are they not? Not only is it physically shown but it’s also literally in their names. Plus one of the death messages even says “the lights shall guide you.”
Ok but is there any proof the guiding light and curious light act like actual light?

Added screech because why not.

As per the content update, I’m pretty sure we can get all the characters (except the minor ones) to 9-B via this, with entities like Figure & Seek upscaling.

According to the DOORS Wiki: Figure’s base Movement Speed is 10 walkspeed; Every book collected in The Library adds 0.8 walkspeed, which would be 16.4 studs/second with all 8 books. During the starting chase in The Electrical Riom, 4 walkspeed is added; and during the final chase in, 6 walkspeed is added. When running it’s also multiplied by x1.75, and all of this would result in Below Average Human so I don’t know how accurate this even is.

It also lists Rush’s Movement Speed at 69 studs per second (Superhuman); Ambush’s at 200 (Subsonic); and Dread’s at 12-13 (Below Average Human).

Seek finally got his justice after years of being only street level
I know Seek kills her and all... but it looks like he only does that with Transmutation/Corruption. Queen Grumble one shots the Player during chase scenes, but in the Nest proper she takes 2 hits to kill them. Seek's hands, on the other hand (heh), take like 5 hits to kill the Player during the Dam Seek fight.
Don't worry. There's no way Seek's staying street level, one way or another.

I mean seek does one shot us in the cutscenes aswell. + I’m pretty sure the devs said seek was holding back and was just toying with us, and I’m pretty sure the hands he hits us with in the boss fight are smaller then the ones in the floor 1 seek chase and floor 2 seek chase but ok.

If you're referring to the hands grabbing you in his first and second chases, we don't actually know how those kill you. They're not punching or striking you. It's most likely another case of Transmutation, like what happens when he catches up to you.
I’m pretty sure the devs said seek was holding back and was just toying with us
I'd like to see that statement. I don't think he'd hold back when he sees they've almost drained him out of the Dam, and he continuously gets more desperate, throwing out bigger and bigger attacks each phase.

I mean red does say “however there are some entities that directly dispute each other such as seek and the grumbles mainly because seek is a lot more intelligent than most entities and consciously wants to not be interrupted” implying he’s smart which is seen many times in game, like for example what’s stoping him from just creating a huge arm and squish us in the dam or just in general kill us mid into the game, in the dam boss fight the arms and the snake things can’t go past the rails and theres no barrier from the guiding light stoping it implying he’s intentionally missing so it’s fair for us, he’s not in any danger when getting flushed he could just be making it more difficult for us as he’s testing us

I was referring to the boss fight + I would say seek holding back is a great explanation of why seek doesn’t just kill us then just plot convince
Or, or, he's just not able to
we already know anything seek infects becomes part of his mass so this queen grumbles feat would still count for seek.
What? Seek didn't even kill Queen Grumble with physical force. He really has no direct scaling to her at all. There's nothing suggesting he adds the strength of things he "infects" to himself at all (Queen Grumble's current status is purely speculation, too)

Oh my god the Outdoors has canon distances given in meters... I should have paid more attention...

Edit: I've checked it, and using the signs clearly leads to no consistent sizes

I've 'finished' the Outdoors entities (sans Curious Light, of course) roughly. Some things are still subject to change and calcs need to be evaluated before I can release the profiles. I won't be making pages for Rooms entities, because they will be replaced by the Archives entities in due time. The Backdoor is pretty dry and only has 3 unique entities that don't have very interesting abilities.

Some more things that are worth calculating: Minecarts breaking 8 wooden planks (no, this wouldn't be street level) or its KE (the whole gimmick is it's only able to break planks when it's moving fast and Curious Light's death message for it is "don't stand in the way of fast moving heavy objects," so KE is 100% valid here). The Player can survive 3 hits, dying on the 4th from the minecart when it's able to break the wooden planks.
The Player surviving the elevator crashing (I swear I saw a calc for this somewhere)
I can't find a link for it, but Figure drops like 15-20 meters from the top of a pipe and he's fine (this would be pretty good because of how macho he is) and Figure ripping an elevator cable... (also supports the feat of Figure falling because he jumped down on the elevator there)
