Ness would be 1-C, here’s why…
This rift is also described as an “inter-dimensional world” and is referred to twice as a “super-dimensional rift.” Its nature likely explains how Giygas was said to have the potential to conquer all of space and time.
The Super-Dimensional Rift is described as the origin point of the branching multiverse, where all timelines and possibilities converge. It exists between dimensions and contains the entirety of time (from the birth of the universe to its demise) in a chaotic state. The story also describes it as having multiple axes of space and time, with this, indicating a higher-order spatial-temporal structure rather than a standard 4D continuum.
Traveling through the rift in time caused the phase distorted machine to simultaneously move into the distant past, the far future, and every possible direction or trajectory at once.
The rift houses dreams and basically exists above the multiple axes of space and time.
Since the Rift structurally contains and governs an infinite number of 4D space-time continuums and treats them as lower-order branches emerging from a higher origin point, it would be a 6-dimensional construct, and since no 3-dimensional to 4-dimensional beings can even survive in it. Ness and his friends (plus Giygas) are able to enter and survive the rift, so they scale to 1-C as well, we can treat the rift as a container for the cosmology.
A better summary would be:
1-C (The cosmology contains an infinite number of 4D space-time continuums, described as “variables of infinity” branching from a central origin.
