Voting Naruto FRA.

Frankly all i hear is most trying to overspecify naruto's way of fighting in character, Naruto is very much a versatile fighter who, fights outside the box.

Naruto just has too much wincons for Luffy to remotely even take this, especially when you factor in G5's timer.

Because the cells/the biological body are the things that are turned into wood due to hashirama cells overwhelming the body. Why should we assume that it's also transmutating the chakra?
It's actually the chakra (or specifically the physical energy portion that comes from the cells) from the Hashirama cells that's overwhelming the body.

And we know that it works on chakra too because clones exist. Narutos clones possess Hashiramas physical energy from his cells too and don't get transmuted into trees. Lowkenuinely there's a lot more that could be done with transmutation stuff for Naruto as a verse but this thread probably isn't the right place for that.
(Also Naruto's resistance has more so to do with the compatibility of Hashirama's cells rather than a general resistance against transmutation seeing as Danzo was using them just fine without being turned into wood but once his chakra reserves were running super low and he was close to dying he started losing control over wood style and turning to wood, he clearly isn't just fully resistance to transmutation in general. It's like having an antibody against a certain virus which prevents all of the effects it would cause due to sickness without being resistant to the side effects themselves on their own.)
This is slightly accurate but also slightly off. Naruto actually has HORRIBLE compatibility with Hashirama cells. His kyubi chakra is so full of life force that it passively feeds Hashirama cells to the point they get forced into becoming trees. Even just being near Yamatos wood style in kyubi mode made it sprout with life. And when Zetsus infused with Hashirama cells even come into contact with kyubi mode Naruto they forcibly got turned into trees.

So Naruto who's not only in contact with Kurama but is literally brimming with its chakra has the worst compatibility as the cells should constantly be turning him into trees, and yet they don't even when he's asleep or knocked unconscious. Naruto literally had all of his chakra blasted out of his body and got knocked unconscious and yet resisted the cells from turning him into a tree with the wholeass 9 tails within his body and his 9 tails flavored chakra completely covering him in a massive explosion.

So while yes Danzo actively has to control the chakra from Hashiramas cells to not get transmuted, Naruto outright resists the boosted effects.
I'm curious, idk if this counts cause it's like, objective overall transmutation resistance. Wood style seemed like a hashirama ability, and he has hashirama's cells, so it's like, a resistance against a hashirama based mechanic.
I don't know how it would work to any external transmutation that isn't based on like, a weird mechanic
plus this

Respectfully this makes no sense. A resistance of his biology ≠ a resistance of his energy.
Went mostly over this above.
Also, chakra gets transmutated all the time. So like, it doesn't work
Chakra gets transmuted by the user all the time but different people can't transmute other people's chakra.

I'd actually say this adds a level of defense to Narutos jutsu. Naruto is actively transmuting his chakra at all times (we know jutsu lose their shape and disappear when the user stops controlling them). So if Luffy tries to transmute the jutsu he'd have to out-transmute Narutos own transmutation. And Naruto should probably have higher level of control here given all the chakra control mastery he has and the fact he starts in control while Luffy has to take control.

I probably said the word transmute more in this one comment than in my entire life until this point

Stop lying to people..

Luffy got his ass beat for 13 hours without falling against katakuri and he was still fighting and he won.
As a child he got tortured through an entire night and was fine.
He fought for 11 hours against Cracker.
He was dealing with a body procedure that was physically damaging him for 20 hours and he was active.

Read both series before you make objective claims, and be objectively correct
Cmon man yknow they meant G5 lmao

He not gon be in gear 5 the whole damn fight
It would leave him vulnerable once it wears off though. He wasn't able to fight or move once he reached his limit with Gear 5 in Egghead until he was given food. But again he managed to reactivate it against Kaido and the mechanics aren't fully explained so there's that. (Although I imagine in this case he must keep fighting in Gear 5 the whole fight otherwise he will pass out since him reactivating it is what kept him awake)

He can enter and exit Gear 5th as he pleases

Unfortunately for you, that still isn't the case. Luffy can revive himself whenever he wants.
We do not know why he was able to force through in that moment but it hasn't been repeated since, ever other instance of his G5 form expiring has resulted in him being helpless and withered on the ground, requiring vast amounts of food to recover, even in situations where reactivating it would make sense like when Saturn is on the verge of killing him and his crew.

We do know why.

Luffy turns into Gear 5th by activating the Drums of Liberation, which is his heartbeat. Luffy utilized the doping effects of Gear 2nd to restart that heartbeat and go back into Gear 5th despite running out of energy. Don't speak on what you don't know.

People still here think luffy gonna be in g5 whole fight and that g5 timer probs 5 minutes. Its shown that if luffy wishes he can instantly jump right back into g5 even after his timer is up. [Panel not here right now. Its when he fought kaido tho.source? Trust]

And most of you are forgetting that a drawn out fight would put naruto at a disadvatage considering luffy would be constantly pushed to the edge. Luffy has been constantly pushed to his limit against katakuri for 13 hrs straight who completly outclassed him in all areas, yet due to luffy's unpredictable fighting style in base, even with katakuri's future sight he couldnt land a fatal blow... annndd luffy just kept getting stronger with haki blooming and his reactive power lvl to then later on match him. Luffy has been shown to multiply in power & speed within a short timespan.

Luffy's unpredictability is far greater than naruto's. Naruto's clones are useless due to luffy CoO which is far better than any form of precog naruto delt with and luffy has fought those and beaten those with better precognition.

Luffy's wincons again are far easier to pull off than naruto's wincon. Luffy's speed and CoO will prove difficult to land hits. Luffy if he wanted to can see the outcome and prevent naruto from even using a shadow clone. [Inserts panel of katakuri preventing luffy from using attacks/inserts another panel of luffy preventing a poison bomb attack before it happens in wano udon prison] luffy will always be many steps ahead of naruto. Naruto will be getting chased down and if he were to try block an attack without his rod his insides will explode.

Luffy should keep naruto on his feet with sheer speed alone as well as being 2-3 steps ahead every time. The second he says sum "shadow clone jutsu" or "rasengan" hes getting cut off and slapped across the map. If naruto does decide hes getting the upperhand and push luffy back into a corner then haki bloom kicks in as well as his base reactive power lvl which would make it hardwr for naruto in the long run.

can't see anything there?

can you quote him back here then.

We do not know why in that particular instance he was able to forcefully reactivate G5 and not in any of the other instances. Why is he begging for food here while his crew are paralyzed and Bonney is about to be killed by Saturn instead of just reactivating G5? The Kaido instance is the outlier, every other example of Luffy's G5 form running out has resulted in him being helpless.

For the fight itself I think the most important factor for the result of this battle is how Naruto starts the fight. If he starts by going to close-quarters combat then he will get overwhelmed by a barrage of durability negating attacks while Naruto will be unable of doing any damage with his physical/blunt attacks due to Luffy's rubber body, as for the shadow clones Luffy has dealt with Kizaru's clones which have better mobility than Naruto's and Cracker's biscuit soldiers which are more durable relative to their creator (Cracker's soldiers are closer to the durability of Cracker compared to Naruto and his shadow clones, and Luffy fought Cracker for almost a whole day). If Naruto keeps his distance then he has a good chance of winning due to his long range jutsu/his jutsu that are a much amount stronger than his physicals and the stamina issues of Gear 5, although even in this case Luffy can still win due to superior speed especially in giant form which he uses very often and due to the transmutation effects of awakening which can be used to counter/redirect/turn Naruto's attacks into rubber.

Overall I think Luffy has the better chance of winning especially since Naruto tends to go for hand to hand combat at the start of fights in character which will give him a big disadvantage against someone like Luffy so I'm voting Luffy.

Naruto is typically starting fights with basic melee, but Luffy is not OPENING with the duraneg against base Naruto.
