Articles clean-up reports (New forum)

For the Monsterverse's verse page, I noticed that the grouping for non-Titan creatures are Sub-Titans and MUTOs, which I find a bit questionable. From what I can tell, the Kong: Skull Island Cinematic Adventure establishes the classification "superspecies" to include many of the creatures that are not considered Titans (with a few exceptions). Some examples of creatures considered superspecies are many of the Skull Island fauna. Would it be possible if it could be reorganized to account for this?
"Sub-Titans" was a term implemented by Greg Keyes, the author of many MonsterVerse novels and comics, for monsters who don't quite rise to the level of Titans. He used it to refer to creatures like Genitor, who isn't classified as a superspecies, the same as many other creatures in the MonsterVerse. Also, using the term "superspecies" is not a good idea either, as some Titans are also classified as superspecies, and not all the small monsters are confirmed as such.

The Verse page works as it is, and in any case, and I find these changes unnecessary, tbh.

Btw, are you sure that it is appropriate to use this thread for such request? This thread was made to report poorly constructed pages, sentence structure errors and typos, not changes like that, IIRC…

I mostly agree with what was said by Apex. Overall, it may not affect much, but I find the additions unnecessary and just too time consuming for something that barely affects the page.

I do think superspecies should probably be used instead. Looking at the Wikizilla page, Legendary has used the term superspecies far more frequently, whilst Sub-Titan isn’t even necessarily a canon term according to the author who coined it.
Ok, I already removed the "Sub-Titans" section from the verse page, but according to that Wikizilla article, Titans are also classified as superspecies:

Superspecies is a catch-all term coined by Monarch to describe the Titans and other creatures they were discovering. As time went on, it was refined to refer to plants and animals that have origins in Hollow Earth or were formerly thought to be cryptoozological species prior to confirmed evidence of their existence

If the term "superspecies" is not exclusive of non-titans, then it could generate even more confusion.

Also, many other monsters are not included in that list, as Wikizilla only listed the monsters that are confirmed as superspecies, so in cases such as Genitor, he is neither a Titan nor a superspecies, so I don't see how that could work in the Verse page.

MUTO (an acronym for Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism)

MUTOs can be used for any giant creature that isn't an identified Titan and also encompasses even superspecies. It simply works better, IMO…

This was even confirmed by the director of GkotM:

Generally speaking, titans are referred to as titans and non titans are referred to as megafauna or superspecies. If superspecies is for non-titans exclusively or not doesn't matter that much because superspecies is only ever used for non-titans as far as I recall

This is kind of shaky though. There is however a term used for large creatures that aren't Titans, which is Megafauna

However, even between superspecies, their classification varies a lot, as not all the superspecies are Megafauna. There are also Florafauna, Magmafauna, and even Necroserpere, among others. Whereas MUTO encompasses any giant creature that is not a Titan.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread to report this in, apologies if it isn't, but there are several profiles in the PvZ verse that are tagged with many more abilities than are actually listed on the profiles.
Here are some examples
All four of those are tagged with Acausality, Invincibility, Large size, and Light users, despite none of them having those as abilities. There are a lot of other profiles with the same problem, and many other random tags are on them.

Sorry about that, I was uncertain of where to place it. I suppose the organization currently works based on what was mentioned, and I am sorry if I wasted everyone's time.

It's ok; you didn't do anything wrong, but in the future you can consult me regarding anything related to the GodzillaVerse/MonsterVerse via a message on my wall. I have already removed the Sub-Titans section from the MonsterVerse page based on your suggestions and those from 1000TonsofFun. So, yeah, I'm open to suggestions and improvements to my pages.

Hello. Kirby's profile has a category it shouldn't have, which needs to be removed.

I believe this happened because the profile talks and links to that category like this "[[Category:Name|Name]]" the second time, rather than like this "[[:Category:Name|Name]]". Adding that ":" is all it needs.

Given all the big Doctor Who revisions that are being worked on, could the Low 1-C profiles belonging to the verse get the Outdated Page box now?

I can put up a list for someone who can access the pages to do if its okay (and its better to let people know the pages are outdated anyway, cause a lot of them are)

You have to ask for that in the general discussion thread for the verse, a CRT, or the profile deletions thread. Not here.

Anyone know whether we (do/should) allow images to be woven into navboxes like this?

Hello, sorry for the ping. You were listed under the knowledgeable section (Mortal Kombat), so I'm reaching out regarding several broken references on these pages. Multiple articles are using tags like <ref name=":0" /> without any defined source.

Could someone familiar with the series please add the proper <ref name=":0">Reference Text</ref> declarations? I would handle it myself, but I'm not familiar enough with the verse to provide accurate citations.

If you have the time, please check and fix the following reference names:

Since you are supporter of the verse, can you fix it? Or perhaps tell me what are the keys so i can add them accordingly.

There are references with the declaration ":0", but with differing sources, one with Superior Spider-Man and Avengers Vol. 5. Some other reference tags are also calling the ":0" references but since there are multiple declaring tags, it's causing a reference error.

@Ednaxel2
There are way too many conflicting references using the ":0" tag, please make sure this is fixed since it is causing errors.

":1" reference tag is undefined.

@Ser_Hakim_Dayne

Some edits here seem to have triggered reference errors, specifically for the "Devil May Cry Volume 1" and "Devil May Cry 3" tags.

Is it fine that I inserted a generic "Devil May Cry: Volume 1" and "Devil May Cry 3" citation text for those tags?

If that is not appropriate, could you replace them with something more specific?

@Omegabronic
Please fix the "SPS1E2" and "SShuf" tag errors.

Also all the reference errors present here.

The page currently has way too many reference errors related to the tag "“1”". Some references are invoking it, but because there are multiple declarations with different definitions, this is creating conflicts. Please sort them out carefully, as several tags depend on the "“1”" reference, and incorrectly modifying it could significantly alter which sources are being called.

@Ghostimuscrime (Pinging you since you were the one that made the edit)
Can you please provide a proper and specific reference text for the ":6" and ":0" tags? It's causing reference errors at the moment.
You can fix it by doing <ref name=":6">Reference Text</ref> instead of <ref name=":6" />. Please do the same to :0.
I think I saw the source name, but I am not knowledgeable and am not sure if they are specific enough. I'd rather someone more knowledgeable do this.

@Armorchompy

@SuperNova55555
Please fix the ":32" tag error.
