I don't really care, I don't think a lack of that system is why translations aren't getting done, or would change meaningfully change which translations get done.
We have something like that for calculations, but there isn't as much variation in how long most of those take to evaluate. While for translations, it's both very common for relevant translations to be a sentence, and very common for relevant translations to be multiple pages; the time necessary is different by orders of magnitude. I think that shapes translator willingness more than priority could.

Hello, sorry to disturb you, but can you ask @Kazanshin if he's planning to continue performing in the OTR thread or has he gone on break, or gave up on it? After all, Japanese makes up around 99℅ of the thread and as such, every possible Japanese helper is a matter of deep concern for me.

Well, the Official Translation Request Thread is currently in a rather... weird situation
On one hand, @RaikiKurohane99 has been very actively translating Japanese texts in the thread for almost 3 weeks now, which massively benefited a large number of users and fandoms who lacked confirmation of those
On the other hand, their work wasn't approved by any of our trusted multilingual members, which technically means that all CRTs using those are... completely invalid

Well, we have evaluated Raiki in private, and reached the conclusion that he seems to have made some very strange errors that heavily imply using machine translations, which he couldn't provide proper explanations for, so unfortunately we cannot accept him as a translation helper or his translations to be valid for use without confirmations from Tayman or Seiji. My apologies.

This is most unfortunate but understandable. Hopefully other Godzilla supporters may understand if we might need to revise some of the Godzilla profiles that have been happening as of late. Might be a good idea to gather all Japanese texts that were "Translated by him" and have them all double checked and re-evaluated in case we need to remove any upgrades that were happened in justified.

That sounds reasonable. It would be appreciated if someone could help check those translations, as DarkDragonMedeus suggested, so we can make sure everything is accurate and properly justified if any revisions are needed.

I did it as you requested. I only found these two Godzilla translation requests that were actually completed: You (DarkDragonMedeus) made this one, and Ztes made the other.

I think there is some confusion here. So far, no clear decision has been reached. Seiji indicated that he tends not to trust it, while Agnaa believes that alone is not enough. As for the mistakes, I think you mixed up “a mistake” with “mistakes,” since I made only one mistake out of more than 50 translations, so your judgment seems a bit rushed. In addition, what Agnaa said was very clear: I won’t be considered reliable until my translations are verified. I think the only issue in the translations here is whether it says Godzilla destroyed a planet or a star.
Since the phrase could refer to a planet or a star (depending on the context), and based on my knowledge of Godzilla, I’ve never seen him destroy a planet or even exceed country level or anything like that (of course, that’s just based on what I know). I even thought about checking his profile, and his rating was 4-B.
So I think it’s more appropriate to change “star” to “planet” (because it fits better).
As for the rest, I think it’s good.
And when Seiji said the translations were good, he was also referring to my translations for your Godzilla topics.

I think that, in this context, the proper translation could be ‘planet,’ since in that continuity Gorath is regarded as a solid object with a mass comparable to the Moon and we all know that stars with the mass of the Moon do not exist.

i said the ones i looked over were mostly fine (barring specific criticisms like translating hoshi as either star or planet and not mentioning that it can be either depending on context, or あらゆる)
as a rule i would say yours are unreliable (as mentioned above i personally don't trust them) unless either i or tayman say otherwise, so nothing really changes from standard procedure

I am aware of that.This also means that you’ve seen my translations related to Godzilla, which indicates they are good. Therefore, there’s no need for Oiguana2701 or others to trouble themselves by re-translating or reviewing them.
