I would guess his overall scaling. if the yeti can tank everything the mercs throw at it w ease and stomp them, and then hale stomps that yeti its kind of a greater gap

Alright so I am working on the patagonia map calc and question
for the explosion do we use the formula for explosions on air or explosions on the ground? I would guess the air formula since it would hit the iceberg upon exploding

Alright so I tried to calculate the explosion on the map and it didnt seem to do much w the explosion formula though would it be possible to calculate the energy based on the crater it makes?

I might do the inverse square law later because Im tired but I did the crater, for the few variations I have done (I had been using every classification of iceberg height from bergy bits to the biggest so I had like four or five variants of the results) it had landed me around 9-B to atmost 8-C

Hey so I calculated the crater which got me around 9-A to 8-C if I use the mid end ranges but I am a bit confused on the inverse square law
A ground explosion with a radius of 5 meters has exactly enough energy so when it hits a brick with an area of 0.07116953508 square meters and a volume of 0.0010692559 cubic meters, it vaporizes it. How much energy does this explosion hold?
So when looking at this example for an idea do I use the area caused by the crater and then do pulverization for it again? because as far as I see there is no indication of vaporization for ice unless we can use the 25700 J/CC value for it (I have been using pulverization for ice in the values)

You find the surface area of the explosion which is usually a hemisphere, find the surface are of the crater, and the do - surface area of explosion / surface are of crater * energy used to create crater

I used a spherical cap for the crater so I will have to do one for hemisphere and get on to the formula

havent been doing much for calcs in recent times due to life being busy but I do have the results for the explosion and crater atleast, havent done the inverse square law yet
So far in results via crater we have in three sizes
Small = 31,718,679.5034 joules (9-A)
Medium = 445,799,726.0539 joules (9-A)
Large = 2,486,798,715.6667 joules (8-C)
I narrowed to three since an Iceberg has different types of sizes

alright so I got back to doing the calc and I think I got it correctly
If it is correct then for a small iceberg we have reached around 56.7248494319 Gigajoules (13.557 tons of TNT, City Block)

Good news is the calc is done. bad news is that its not much with it ranging from small building to at most 1 tons of tnt in building level
The main issue I think is the usage of ice pulverization since it doesn't have a vaporization value so the results got lowered

I dont think we can particularly use vaporization on water for this as its not really the same thing
the only way to make the result go higher is by using the regular value of vaporization but Im not sure if I can use Vaporization value for ice since it has no value

What happened to the explosion that scout endured in meet the medic, didn't he face tank that? Not to mention he was in an incredibly bad state and still survived, and was able to be healed, doesn't that mean that he should scale to that as an at most? Why was it rejected? It's not that inconsistent.

ok, i did some research and i thought: can we just do the melting of the ice and the vaporization of the water separetly? By all tecnicality we are calculating the process of the ice being melted into water and then turned into gas, what do you think?
kind of, i mean we already got your high 8-C calc and the payload was already 0.8 Tons of tnt prior of this calc

unrelated question, some months ago i broke my own hand punching a wall, where does that scale?
i made the calc and it said:
hypotetical volume (as far as i remember it effected 2x2x1 volume area)
51.6 * 4 = 206,4 Joules
I don't know if this is right cuz i did only 1 fracture as far as i remember so i don't know if this is a downgrade
