DELTARUNE; Chapter 3 & 4 !!!SPOILER!!! Discussion Thread

There are stars in the Dark Worlds
Seen in Castle Town and in Chapters 3 and 4
Possibly in chapter 2 too, but people say those specifically are fake because the sky is a screen in the Cyber World
I don't really think that makes that much sense since the whole thing of Dark Worlds are that they're real things distorted by the concept of darkness, like all of the items and objects exist in real space but are being distorted by the "unreality" of the fountain. It would be weird if there were actual, proper, stars in such "worlds" cause what would they be abstractions of exactly?

I'm not even sure about that... Why? Humans traditionally keep their loved one's ashes, as, well, we don't instantly turn to dust upon death.
We see Gerson's dust on top of his hammer is what made his Darkner form. Not ashes, dust. Something readily available upon death for monsters
(potentially up until now)
I'm wondering if this is a Susie-specific quirk that'll be touched on later?
I don't think so. No one questions Susie bleeding, sans bleeds too, plus Noelle seems to bleed too going by that moving red dot from the "thinking about Noelle" weird route scene

I just presume the Dark Fountain made Susie bleed due to the whole unreality shit. That or Susie is like half human.

So I was a bit late to the thread but...AM I THE ONLY ONE HERE THAT DIDN'T KNOW THERE'S A "MIKE" BOSS FIGHT?

Can't believe I completely missed this for so long. That aside, I love the gimmick that even in-universe, Mike seems to be a mystery to other Darkners. Which is obviously Toby poking some fun at us.

Shouldn't Noelle have some form of plot/fate manipulation or something? Via the weird route being
Ralsei says this:
* But... but no matter what we do...
  • Our fate...
  • ... is already decided.
And this too, but only on the weird route:
  • I want to believe... it can change!
  • That there isn't just one ending!
  • But...
  • What would that be...?
  • If there was something else, what would it be...?
  • And how do we know
  • It wouldn't be something even worse?
This is very obviously about the weird route. This should imply that Noelle has some option to break out of fate and change the prophecy's outcome (to something even worse).

I think that’s more of the player’s/soul’s influence than Noelle’s

  1. Why are you assuming UT Monsters = DR Monsters
  2. Susie literally says "everyone bleeds" in Ch 1 as if it's something normal
Because there's dialog in chapter 1 where Kris is directly asked if it's hurt to be made of blood. Sure it's from the kid bunny and the argument "kids are just stupid" could be used but it's never the less strange for a kid of any age to say because if he were to have blood that would imply that they'd never gotten hurt before and seen their own blood which would itself be weird. Like for a kid around 5 to 10 ish to have never gotten a cut or ruffed up their knee is a bit odd.
It should also be considers that Deltarune is in fact a game, and as such there exists intent in the games dialog and where it's placed. Toby made an active decision to include that line of in that spot, it would be weird to include something like that for no reason and to then go back on it later on. Like why would someone include dialog about how "it's strange for you to have blood" when everyone in your setting has blood.
It's possible that Toby just forgot, it's 7 years and all, but even in chapter 2 a sprite of Susie hurt with her clearly bleeding was cut from the game so Toby has considered showing Susie bleed before but decided against at the time.

this made me realize a Pete 'n VB Fc/oc page is non-existent...
