I can't see how the final battle will shake out yet, or how everyone will get involved - but I'm speculating that most of the pirate factions may band together against the World Government (with the exception of Blackbeard who is in it for himself).
Kaido and Big Mom certainly aren't dead yet, and I see them coming back for the final battle. Marcus Mars makes the most sense as an opponent for him IMO; fire beam vs. energy beam and both can sort-of fly. Topman Warcury vs. Big Mom; two big nigh-unstoppable beasts with hard exteriors.
Shanks and Garling feel like natural opponents; both swordsmen and a father/son duel.
Buggy obviously isn't going to have a serious fight, but his two direct subordinates will do. Mihawk against the other swordsman of the Five Elders, the one that Zoro clashed with.
And Crocodile, the man of the desert, battling against a Sandworm.
Meanwhile the last remaining Emperor Luffy would be fighting Imu, or Blackbeard, or both.

Nusjuro seems to have relations to the samurai from Wano; he's dressed as one, his name Nusjuro uses the wano naming style, his status as the warrior god of finance and Venus being known as the gold planet all may have a relation to Wano once being known as the land of gold in Ryuma's era and the kitetsu sword he uses was forged by a wano swordsmith school.
On egghead Zoro and him briefly fought with the shared Kitetsu blades being a point of focus, and we know Zoro himself is a descendant of Ryuma.
Personally I think a fight between Zoro and Nusjuro is set up, not sure about the rest of them though.

I think that King Harald likely sold all of the people who had sworn fealty to him via a demonic contract with Imu, which let Imu revert them to how their people looked thousands of years ago.

Actually, the 1150 spoilers give me a bit of hope. If Dorry and Broggy have been turned into demons, that would be the perfect conflict for Usopp to resolve

You're right. Especially with Chopper going after Gaban to find out the answer to how he was able to damage Sommers through his regen. With all the giants turning demons with immortality and regen + the Holy Knights still being there, we might actually see all of the remaining Straw Hats get haki this arc.

This whole devil contract thing is making me wonder if Robin's Demonio Fleur is the result of her forming a contract of some kind with someone, because we still don't know where that form came from. But maybe we're about to know soon with all these devils running around Elbaph?

There are soo many assumptions being made that people are taking as a fact, so I'm just waiting for the actual chapter 
Imu being an actual devil and not actually being a devil fruit user would change everything, because at this point in the show, everything truly "supernatural" has come from devil fruits (Unless it's like willpower stuff and unconfirmed hints)

When you look closely IMU effected the nightmare monsters too LOL. (Which means IMU can even control things thats not even technically alive like they are dreams XD)
So they must be stronger and maybe bigger.
Unless of course IMU can just use all the HK and 5 elders powers all at once but much stronger (Kinda scary if true)

I think the villains' side is very strong now. Imu has turned the tables, if he stays on the island I don't think the Monster Trio + Loki and Gaban will be able to handle all of this. Time to call daddy Shanks or maybe the Straw Hats Grand Fleet.

I'm going to retract this here, maybe Oda is cooking something even more epic than Shanks in Elbaf, being the possible return of God Enel. He and Imu have some parallels, Enel seems to be an admirer of Joyboy/Nika and received some knowledge about the void century on the moon.
Oda may be cooking up a religious theme by placing the devil in a Norse arc, Enel may contrast both Thor and "God" (we still don't know if Imu is the Red serpent from Hell - In Norse mythology Thor and this serpent fight to the death). We also can't forget that Usopp made a literal mention of Enel a few chapters ago.
