It does not only produce the obvious phenomena right in front of you. It is a dangerous technique that will follow an unexpected path to later cause an unexpected change without the magic user even knowing about it. Aleister Crowley had loathed that and called it sparks and spray. The Battle of Blythe Road had been fought over that. Anyone who took magic lightly would be consumed by magic. Simon Magus, John Dee, Cagliostro, Rasputin… When you listed off the names of well-known historical magicians, it became obvious that most of them met untimely or lonely deaths or went missing and were simply assumed to have lived out a happy life “somewhere else”. IIRC, nah. Manga provides the most detailed explanation about his rotation feat in a "roundabout" way, if I am using that word properly, plus, it does straight say that prior to that moment in the Accel Manga, Accel had no idea that his vector manip could affect the earth rotational energy since he never tried it before... really should remove High 6-A thingy in Accel's Pre-Headshot section and move it to his Post-Headshot section in the future.

Thankfully no. Since it’s stated that she predates Norse mythology and that she mastered every Norse spell. Ir would be akin to how Yhwach has every schrift The Demon King from SDS has the commandments despite them never showing them.

Well, that aside, the conversation doesn't really change anything. If anything, it just further reinforces the idea of it being a subset of the 11 known dimensions. The point is, this is nothing unique really, and is just how spatial dimensions are supposed to work in general (minus the whole teleportation part). To give a lazy example, think of it like this:
3D = cube
2D = square (cross-section of the cube)
1D = line (cross-section of the square)
0D = point (cross-section of the line)

It's the long-awaited Misaka Mikoto revamp. Progress is slow as hell, but... Thankfully, LazyHunter make a blog for Misaka's P&A that can help me gather scans and references at a much faster rate than what I expected ever since I lost my pdf of OT, NT and spinoff stuffs (which I need to recover sooner or later)

Here's the most "complete" thing, rn. As a progress report.

Intelligence: Genius (As a Level 5, Misaka Mikoto is incredibly intelligent as Esper abilities require specific calculations in order to be produced efficiently. Espers below Misaka, like Shirai Kuroko, calculate up to 11 dimensional space so as to safely and accurately teleport; and these calculations must be near-instantaneous, not to mention 100% accurate in the midst of combat. This is best shown when she uses her powers to save her life in do-or-die situations, for example; she once performed incomprehensible calculations on the fly, allowing her to precisely control the static electricity between water particles in the air, creating wings for herself out of seawater under perfect conditions; in another occasion, while suffocating in oil, she demonstrated similar precision and on-the-fly calculations, using iron sand to break down the oil into oxygen, nitrogen, and other components of air, carrying it to her mouth and allowing her to breathe it in. She is also tech-savvy with her powers, being capable of hacking most security systems in Academy City, which is 20 to 30 years ahead of the world, with Mikoto comparing her surprise at the low comparative level of the security of the American Liberal Arts City local network to seeing a car running on coal. Misaka Mikoto is also a skilled fighter who can keep up with a Saint like Brunhild Eiktobel, despite being at a massive disadvantage due to Brunhild being able to kill her with one hit and was too fast for her eyes to see, without making even a single instantaneous mistake, with the fight ultimately ending in a stalemate. Wanigawa Raifu deemed her as perceptive upon Misaka lowering the output her railgun at the last second once she realized that Raifu was planning to use her own attack against her, causing it to miss. While fighting Doppelganger, Misaka was capable of coming up with twenty possible ways their absorption ability works, testing her theories out and eventually coming up with the proper answer. She's also quick in developing her powers, inventing her attack that's her namesake essentially on the spot and learning how to use Junko’s Rampage Dress ability mostly without issue. Though she lacks formal training in hand-to-hand combat, she is able to compensate for this by fighting dirty and can skillfully use her powers to maintain a safe distance, block attacks, decoys to trick and catch enemies off guard or even destroy their weapons. It has also been implied that Misaka has undergone some degree of sword training, which she uses in conjunction with her iron sand blades, though other characters have also suggested that her swordsmanship may be self-taught)

Also here are the new keys that I thought of for Misaka... which is old news, but ye folks get the idea.

The word demon had been getting a lot of use lately, but she was basically a downgraded version of the beings that were the opposite of Fuse Kazakiri or Gabriel. Magic Gods, Coronzon, the Golden magicians, and now the A.A.A. It could be hard to tell with all those extraordinary figures wandering around, but Qliphah Puzzle 545 was very much a monster too. She was a resident of the very depths of the world who could drive entire countries to madness if she put her mind to it.

You did not need a giant robot to kill your enemy. Wearing a camouflaging sheet and hiding in the forest to take aim with your handheld laser gun was more than enough.

The value of a tool was not fully defined by its power. No pizza deliverer would be foolish enough to drive a giant semi-trailer truck around the intricate city streets. Supernatural power as stable and convenient as hers was actually quite rare.

And the demon pouted her lips to sulk about being knocked from the sky.

“I can’t believe this. I really should’ve put in some insurance.”

(Anyway, that was the rumored anti-magic weapon, wasn’t it? It didn’t look like those kids knew how to use it properly, but it’s still pretty scary.)

Qliphah Puzzle 545 was an artificial demon created by Lola Stuart (i.e. Coronzon). Plus, Lola had used Karasuma Fran to send Kamisato Kakeru into Academy City when so many Magic Gods had gathered there. When Kihara Yuiitsu had gone on her rampage at the end of all that, the appearance of that weapon had been shared in a report.

It was the anti-Magic God trump card that Aleister Crowley had built.

Now that Qliphah Puzzle 545 had seen it, she felt confident it could hold its own against the Golden magicians. Although it might not be able to actually deliver a finishing blow.

On a more serious note, Mathers' durability is stated to be At least 6-B on his profile. So unless anybody changes that, I could use it to scale A.A.A to 6-B range.

I think I've seen the raw scan of the chapter page. Is there an actual translation available yet? Having put it through Google Translate, I don't really think it will change all that much.

From what I can tell, the chapter does make mention of 11-D space but doesn't really set an upper cap to the number of higher dimensions that actually exist within the verse, which is what has always been the root cause of the endless speculation. I mean, telelporters alone do confirm the existence of the 11th dimension, but that is really about it. No upper limit set. And what especially doesn't help is that whenever the LN references all existing dimensions, they're talked about in a way that suggests that there's an infinite number of them. A simple line like "all 11 dimensions that exist" would suffice, but there just isn't any such confirmation.

If this was the only info we had on the cosmology it would result in a downgrade of High 1-C based on numerous comments on this site (search "Calabi-Yau"), but having Curtana produce cross-sections of higher dimensions and having them appear in the 3-D world probably salvages that even though I don't personally get how they're compatible with each other. But I'm not well-versed in this either way.

Honestly, I am just surprised that it took this long to get a character (that isn't a MG) that manipulates 11-D, even if it makes full sense that this character was the former #1 Esper before Accelerator. Attack Potency: Smth Smth (Capable of beating down Kamijou Touma in hand-to-hand combat), higher with Rampage Dress (Learned Hokaze Junko's Rampage Dress ability, which strengthens her body and even learned how to limit the area she wants to strengthen), Smth Smth with Esper Power (The editor of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun has stated that her power and how she used it improved after her experience with Level Six Shift experiment. Has reached the peak of her Esper power sometime during this time period), Smth Smth with Railgun (Described as a cruel attack produced unequaled destruction and she has explicitly stated that her "Railgun" is supposed to be her trump card, making it superior to her other abilities power-wise. Her Railgun vaporized a wind turbine wing and vaporized a HsAFH-11), Smth Smth with Anti-Art-Attachment (She has stated A.A.A was the exact solution she needed to reach the "next sage" that she felt her own personal esper abilities too weak to reach by themselves. Her weapons include 120mm shells capable of blowing off a tank's turret in a single hit and a large caliber railgun that could destroy a whole section of buildings in Academy City and is strong enough to create a crater out of a fortress. Qliphah Puzzle 545 called it pretty scary and could hold its own against the Golden magicians but can't deliver a finishing blow, likely due to their Regeneration)

Speed: Athletic Human, Supersonic with Water Wings, Supersonic+ attack speed with Railgun, Massively Hypersonic+ attack speed with Lightning Strikes, Sub-Relativistic perception speed (Could keep up with Brunhild Eiktobel's speed by using iron sand that was spread along the ground even if her movements exceeded the limits of Misaka’s kinetic vision), Supersonic+ to Hypersonic with A.A.A (Can fly at Mach 6 speeds but can only take careful aim while flying at Mach 2.5 speeds)

Durability: Smth Smth (Comparable to her Attack Potency. Could endure a glancing blow from her own redirected railgun. Could endure being stuck by the Angel Dragon on two occasions. Could endure being struck by Kihara Yuiitsu.), higher with Rampage Dress (Should be on-par with Hokaze Junko), far higher with Anti-Art-Attachment (Blocked an attack from an Element and sustained only minor damage)

How are these justification for Misaka's second key?

'Bout 60% done adding scans for her powers, both the P&A section and Notable Attacks and Techniques section. 20% on adding references for the entirety of the profile. Weaknessess, Intelligence, Equipment, Lifting Strength, Range and Stamina sections are all done. So I am almost ready to move onto the real "meat" of this profile revamp- Misaka's stats! ... In a way. Tiering doesn't particuarly matter, atm, moreso, rn, it is making proper justifications, so things make sense!

Oh. Hajime Kashimo has a SoL attack speed rating with Electromagnetic Waves. Misaka can unleash electromagnetic waves as an attack, her powers can interact and divert particles of light and microwaves respectively and we have the entire thing with her Light Speed Lightning bullcrud. Maybe, this might be enough to give her a SoL attack speed rating.

I'll add the Saint scaling stuff at a later date, not sure if it is full-on scaling, At most scaling, or just Possibly/Likely scaling, when I figure out what to do with that mess.

Damn. The one time the author decides to seemingly address and clarify the issue of dimensions, he then proceeds to directly contradict previously established facts about them.

Anyway, I think this does put to bed any speculation about the exact number of dimensions in the verse.

As for whether it could result in a downgrade, I personally don't think so (despite the clear contradiction) as feats (Curtana and initial explanation of Teleportation ability) >> character statements. This could change in the future, if we were to get more explanations consistent with the manga panel's interpretation (preferably in the LN). In that case, we could just treat it as a retcon.

The fact that Misaka could deflect her meltdowners despite the fact she hasn't eaten, rested (on account of her going around destroying shit for several days straight) and flat out overused her ability and had no more strength says no, Zon.

Also, we have the numerous strongest electric esper statements for Misaka and Mugino is 100% an electric esper herself. Like, it 100% looks like a healthy, rested Misaka just no-diff Mugino. Also, maybe the statement that has Meltdowner surpass Misaka's railgun is based on her full power-said full power that Mugino stated would blow her to pieces if she tried to use it.

This doesn't really describe compactification, correct me if I'm wrong. She folded the macro world (the eleventh dimension) into the micro world (the dimension they resides in) so that she able to distort the space.

An ant on a tightrope is an analogy used to describe compactification. The idea is that the dimensions are too small for us to experience.

The identity or location of those dimensions can be explained by a concept called compactification. Compactification can be compared to an ant on a garden hose, or as the Netflix show “Stranger Things” has mentioned, a flea on a tightrope. In the first case, think about how an ant sees a garden hose. On the scale of the ant, the hose is two-dimensional: the ant can crawl up and down the length of the hose (one dimension), but also around the circumference (another dimension). However, a human looking at the garden hose from far away might only see the one dimension of length. Similarly, other dimensions may only be visible at different scales or can “loop up,” becoming too small to detect like how the human can’t “detect” the circumference of the garden hose. A useful and famous analogy for compact dimensions of space is to imagine our world as a tightrope. From the perspective of large humans, the rope is one-dimensional, and one can only move along its length. Side note tho, he fought Aleister while using INRI, so he may end up wih two different dura tiers, not sure about AP but would probably be the same as his human key (10B, 6B with magic, higher with INRI).

Or you could downgrade his dura while upgrading his magic to “at least 5-B” so I can make the Dion fortune profile that uses the justification of being able to take on magic gods that aren’t named nephthys.

Long story short, we are ******:

Yeah translations are out. It says the "theoretical maximum is 11 dimensions" and describes compactification. If this was the only info we had on the cosmology it would result in a downgrade of High 1-C based on numerous comments on this site (search "Calabi-Yau"), but having Curtana produce cross-sections of higher dimensions and having them appear in the 3-D world probably salvages that even though I don't personally get how they're compatible with each other. But I'm not well-versed in this either way.

As for Curtana quotes on their own, way I see it is: it doesn't imply that infinite dimensions exist, just that if they did, Curtana would cut them all the same.

As for whether it could result in a downgrade, I personally don't think so (despite the clear contradiction) as feats (Curtana and initial explanation of Teleportation ability) >> character statements. This could change in the future, if we were to get more explanations consistent with the manga panel's interpretation (preferably in the LN). In that case, we could just treat it as a retcon.

At the very least, we maybe should wait for Mental Out manga to finish before we start downgrading anything to be safe. We might get more explanations from Senior on Toaru's 11D stuff that could help the High 1-C stuff or downgrade it to the ground. 'sides am pretty sure we're in the midpoint for the manga already, anyways. Shouldn't take too long for it to finish.
