Just realized but is Tatsumaki very mobile during her fights in the first place?
Yes.
Regulus isn't likely to attack first, and would yap for a while before doing anything. Tatsumaki will have nothing to dodge, so I doubt she'd be very mobile. Often times she just stands (or floats ig) around and start by crushing her opponents, right?
Well that's how she starts. If she needs to get mobile she 100% can and will do so.
He doesn't have to aim accurately since he can use large scale AoE attacks, and the attacks being invisible also doesn't matter when she can't react to them in the first place. Regulus being a distortion in space would make her cautious, but she has no way to even predict his attacks and no reason to assume his attacks are FTL instant kills. On top of that, he generally doesn't give any clues he's going to attack. He doesn't need to perform any gesture to attack, just breathing alone is enough to make him win this match.
Her sensing them as spatial distortions is her sensing them as insta-kill attacks. When she did so in the manga, she equated it to Blast who is the guy who fights using insta kill spatial techniques. What type of AoE attacks does he have? Is it an omnidirectional wave or just a very wide attack?

She usually always moves if the opponent is strong (Psykorochi and Saitama)

This is something she does to opponents she easily one shots. But she starts near aware to his abilities.

Regulus doesn't start with AoE. Also you seem to misunderstand. Everything Regulus uses is based on his authority, making things he touches spatial distortions and uses them for attacks. Tatsumaki doesn't need him to perform any gesture or give any clue as she's completely aware which things are currently is in his control etc etc. She is completely aware.

No, no, I'm aware ^^'

My point was that his attacks are near instant, the moment something is imbued with Lion's Heart it'll already be on the move. That's how it works, he locks whatever he's touching in time so they cannot be interacted with. In this case, he does so while they're moving, so the moment an attack is imbued with Regulus' authority, it'll already be moving at FTL speed.

Tatsumaki wouldn't be able to detect Regulus attack precisely because of their speed, whether she can detect invisible attacks is irrelevant in this match up. Hope this cleared things up.

Tatsumaki's attacks are barely slower than Regulus' (>0.75c vs ~1.1c) so I see no reason why she wouldn't be able to respond accordingly if given distance between them due to flight.

That's her attack speed, not reaction speed.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. What does her attack speed have to do with her combat speed? The speed gap between Massively Hypersonic+ and FTL is quite large, she would have no way to react. Her own profile also says that anything she throws at that speed "instantly burn up due to friction and pressure", so is it even useable? Moreover, anything she does would be ignored by Regulus' attacks time-stopped state.

Oh, I see. That's a fair point, then. 🤔

IIRC, it can be both. It just depends on which he decides to use.

Fun Fact is that Tatsumaki is aware Regulus is a spatial distortion. Which means her rel+ attack speed can be used directly on him. Bro's Hundreds of thousands kilometers away before realizing what happens(Dies before reaching that far) d:

Tatsumaki uses the same telekinesis to attack as she does to move and like I said, she can fly. At range Tatsumaki would be able to avoid Regulus' attacks.

Her own profile also says that anything she throws at that speed "instantly burn up due to friction and pressure", so is it even useable?
Hence why it has a possibly rating. Tatsumaki also has several attacks that don't involve throwing objects

Let me explain.

The OP states that Regulus has 2 wives next to him while the others are outside of the city he's fighting in. Because of SBA, the wives both inside and outside the city, Regulus, and Tatsumaki are the only people here. As I explained, the wives near Tatsumaki would get killed in her attack (Regulus would survive due to his ability) and it's been said in this thread that Regulus tries to protect his wives. This would allow Tatsumaki to draw a connection between them and him. They would then be considered as genuine enemies. If the OP didn't have Regulus have a couple wives next to him to start then I could see what you're saying but that's not the case.

Tatsumaki's flight and attack speed are far faster than Regulus' reactions and 100km is still within Tatsumaki's range. Like I said above it's instant death for the wives from there.

Tatsumaki herself can avoid getting attacked while doing so as she's shown danmaku dodging feats and she can also create several decoys to prevent taking hits. She can do all this while attacking at the same time since multi-tasking is bread and butter.
how far are the wives outside the city? that’s an important factor here to determine their relevance in this specific fight.

Also, the OP does not state that Regulus protects his wives, at least not in the thread description itself, if that was just mentioned somewhere in the pages of discussion, then the OP should actually add that detail to the main post because it changes how the match is perceived (i'm talking to the OP if he is reading this), however, even if Regulus did try to protect them, how would that logically lead Tatsumaki to the conclusion that his invincibility is tied to them?

There could be many reasons he might try to keep them safe, and none of them would immediately suggest they are the source of his power, they could be important to him emotionally or personally, meaning he just doesn’t want them harmed, they could be a part of a ritual or serve some strategic purpose beyond combat, they could simply be non combatants that he doesn’t want caught in the crossfire, which is common in many fights.

If Tatsumaki waz sensing something abnormal about them, like spatial distortions similar to Regulus, then I could understand the argument that she might suspect something, but she wouldn’t sense anything unusual about them at all, they are just normal people, so the idea that she would immediately link his invincibility to them just because he cares about their safety is a huge leap in logic. They die in the mass destruction and the heart goes to the other wives (if they are in Range...hence why im asking how far they are)
Tatsumaki herself can avoid getting attacked while doing so as she's shown danmaku dodging feats
Tatsumaki dodging Homeless Emperor’s danmaku isn’t the same as dodging Regulus’s attacks (This is the only danmaku didging feat i know from her via google, so if there are more im unaware of, please show me.) She wasn’t actually dodging anyway, she was just flying way faster than the projectiles could reach her. The difference here is that Regulus’s attacks are 843 times faster than her in every speed stat, and they come in the form of things like raindrops or sand grains, making them nearly impossible to see or avoid.

Even if she can sense spatial distortions to track them, extrasensory perception doesn’t boost speed, and she’s still too slow to react. Every single grain dura negs, so the moment she underestimates him, which she tends to do i'm assuming (I remember her saying something along the lines of "why would i run away against someone weaker than me" against saitama), likely due to the fact her movement speed is just so much faster than his reaction speed, so she'd be Blitzing the hell out of him and come to the conclusion he's slow asf and not skilled at all, but invincibe), she'll probably be in the air ranting and all regulus needs is one attack or danmaku and she’s getting erased before she even realizes what happened.

Actually since you argue that Tatsumaki can sense people so well and stuff, wouldnt she instantly realize that the wives have essentially no powers and are just normal humans?

It isnt in character for her to kill anybody despite whatever you seem to believe, so i actually see her holding back so she doesnt kill the wives accidentally to be more likely lmao
Similar to what happened in the psychorochi fight
Can you specify how far away the wives that are outsidenthe city are and if they are relevant in this battle at all? And is it true that regulus is actively trying to protect his wives in this battle?

Saitama isn't a good example because he's the embodiment of "underestimate him". Also Tatsumaki knows that he's dangerous, dude is literally a spatial distortion. She doesn't underestimate and try optimal ways to win.

100 km. Also not true as that's still well within Tatsumaki's range.
I did not say it was mentioned in the OP. Regulus defending his otherwise defenseless wives when they're attacked doesn't need to be mentioned in the OP in the same way that Tatsumaki's first move being to instantly crush her opponent does't need to.

Tatsumaki would already be aware of Regulus' invincibility before her first attack fails to affect him. When she notices that he actively prioritized protecting his wives- despite being untouchable himself- this would signal that they hold some importance to him. Since he has no reason to defend himself, the logical inference is that his survival or combat effectiveness is tied to them in some way. Tatsumaki isn’t dumb; she’s demonstrated the ability to come up with multiple plans mid-battle, exploiting her opponents' weaknesses while protecting others. Given her quick thinking and combat awareness, she would logically deduce the connection between Regulus' invincibility and his wives and act to neutralize it.
While it's true that there could be multiple reasons for Regulus trying to keep his wives safe, Tatsumaki isn't the type to ignore the most logical conclusion in the heat of battle. Given that she can immediately sense the unnatural nature of his invincibility, her experience would tell her that it's not simply emotional. Regulus' reaction—actively protecting them despite his invulnerability—would stand out to someone of Tatsumaki's intelligence and combat awareness. If his wives were simply important to him emotionally or personally, he wouldn’t have brought them to a deserted city in the middle of a battle, especially considering his invincibility (which would mean he likely doesn't need support). The most straightforward conclusion is that their safety is tied to his own survival. Tatsumaki would not just assume they’re non-combatants or incidental.

Again, Tatsumaki is far faster than Regulus' reactions. In a pistol quick draw duel, what matters isn't the speed of the bullet but the reaction speed of the gunslinger. It's the same concept here. Tatsumaki will always get her movement off before Regulus is even able to launch attacks at her because her reactions and movements are just that much faster.

Can you specify how far away the wives that are outsidenthe city are and if they are relevant in this battle at all?
it varies but they are usually not visible in the main battleground,
And is it true that regulus is actively trying to protect his wives in this battle?
This isnt true, Regulus will actively hold his own wives hostage and will even kill them if they displease him. This is all in his profile.
He MIGHT save them but it isnt something he would do normally, he has just done this before with Emilia when she was attacked by the sin archbishop of wrath

hasnt this point already been countered by zab?
He just comes back near instantly with his FTL ramming, his power only gets limited to 5 seconds which is more than enough for him to come back

nope

and also no, because she wouldnt be aware of his breath being deadly before he launches it
as soon as he does an FTL attack it will be out, and she cannot percieve this since his attacks arent attacks but literally just normal motion

Well he's wrong. Hundreds of thousands kilometers. After travelling all those distances, that's when he realizes he was attacked. He already lost connection to his wifes and dies because of air friction etc etc since he didn't have the reaction time to even use his ability after he lost his connection.

Saying "nope" is not an argument. Not sure how you can expect me to take you seriously, especially when you yourself wrote that they are 100 km away.
they are not with him as that has been established to be ooc by tappei but he does need to keep them close enough so he could feel their "love"
this has been established to be atleast 100kms since he can go to space and back

he wouldnt actively protect them
You keep contradicting yourself
Apparently in the scenario where he keeps one or 2 of his wives w him, he will actively try to protect them from harm

Every part of his body will be as fast as he wants it to be, so in this case, even his arm swing.

Author statement is useless here. It applies to only Re:Zero world. Tatsumaki has the ability here.(I thought you were saying it about "Tatsumaki being aware" since you quoted the whole paragraph sry :d)
Every part of his body will be as fast as he wants it to be, so in this case, even his arm swing.
Even his own speed is beyond him, he lacks control because of it.

The literal OP says otherwise, as does Regulus' profile as anything outside of that and they won't be within the confines of his Authority.

Well he's wrong.
A character who is faster than Tatsumaki cannot BFR him by WoG, so I have no idea why you're still pushing this idea. You cannot just launch him away. He comes right back. That is what is stated would happen. And it's not as though she can rely on TK; Regulus can ignore it at will.

A character who is faster than Tatsumaki cannot BFR him by WoG
That statement doesn't change the "at least 100km". Reinhard lacks feat of throwing like that as well. Tatsumaki's range is beyond Reinhard's. Same for lifting strength.

"And it's not as though she can rely on TK; Regulus can ignore it at will." Regulus doesn't even react to it until he travels hundreds of thousands kilometers. lost all connection to his wifes and dies because of air resistance before he even reacts.

The literal OP says otherwise, as does Regulus' profile as anything outside of that and they won't be within the confines of his Authority.

I Know satella said that Earlier for some reason, maybe they were not aware of Tappei's Q&A since not alot of people keep up with his tweets.
Everything except his reactions, which is why Tatsumaki will always get her movement off first.
That’s assuming Tatsumaki is going to be in constant movement, which based on her fights, she won’t be. She tends to stay still, hovering in place while talking down to her opponents, and there’s no reason to think she’d treat Regulus any differently, especially when he’s reaction are much slower than her in movement speed, she'll be spinning around him and he'll look like he's frozen.

Even if she keeps flying around at first, she doesn’t have infinite stamina, and Regulus has all day. He’s stated to never back down from a fight, even against Reinhard, who is faster, stronger, and more skilled than Tatsumaki and can fight for days. She has no reason to be spamming max speed movement against an opponent who looks pathetically slow but just happens to be invincible. Eventually, she’ll stop, talk down to him, or underestimate him, and that’s when she dies.

Saying "nope" is not an argument. Not sure how you can expect me to take you seriously, especially when you yourself wrote that they are 100 km away.
i clarified that his range with the wives is atleast 100 kms, however he kept them outside of the Elior forest (we dont have an exact measurement for how far away that is) or took one or 2 with him (Garkla) or have no signs of them (Arc 3 ending)

I just said that the wives are outside of the city well under his range or he can take one of them (I will update the OP so its more clear)
You keep contradicting yourself
if its only a single wife he takes with himself then he HAS protected them but otherwise we have seen him hold them hostage to use as leverage against heros (Reinhard here)
Tatsumaki by that point would have far sufficient range between them and several if not all of his wives would be dead, leaving him more vulnerable.
Again, Tatsumaki does not kill civilians. Even IF we assume Fubuki lackeys to be civilians (which they are not, they are pro heros), she still did not kill them.

Tatsumaki doesn't move against literal fodders compared to her. You compare it to Regulus? Tatsumaki starts with a good understanding of his ability here, you can't compare it to standards here. She doesn't do anything like that against strong opponents, she always play smart and try to find optimal ways to win.
Even if she keeps flying around at first, she doesn’t have infinite stamina, and Regulus has all day. Trust me, it would never be a situation of stamina in this fight. (Tatsumaki has enough energy to try everything she can before running out of stamina)

Tatsumaki with complete awareness would go for victory. Why do you even expect that "Oh i was worried, but you look weak, i'll forget that you are a literal spatial distortion that doesn't take damage" or something like that lmao.

Tatsumaki would go for optimal ways to win. not "talk down, underestimate, stop moving and die".

Well that's how she starts. If she needs to get mobile she 100% can and will do so.

Editing the OP so that one person has a glaring advantage is low but okay. They are still within Tatsumaki's range however.
if its only a single wife he takes with himself then he HAS protected them but otherwise we have seen him hold them hostage to use as leverage against heros (Reinhard here)
Clarify how many wives he has with and without him. This is getting ridiculous you can't curate the match specifically so that Regulus has a major advantage.
Again, Tatsumaki does not kill civilians. Even IF we assume Fubuki lackeys to be civilians (which they are not, they are pro heros), she still did not kill them.
She kills whoever she needs to.

how does that give Regulus any type of advantage 🤡
In fact if i let him have a single wife and he does put her under lions heart then its just a stomp because BFR would not work anymore
Clarify how many wives he has with and without him. This is getting ridiculous you can't curate the match specifically so that Regulus has a major advantage.
I didn’t curate anything, so he has an advantage. Where are you even getting these allegations from?

I just posted his usual meta on the OP without specifying which one he would use. If you want, we can discuss all three scenarios.
She kills whoever she needs to.
she does not

Clarify how many wives he has with and without him
If you as the OP aren't going to do this then I'm not going to debate when at any moment someone can argue with them standing next to him and another with them away.

"They are likely outside of the city or he probably only bought like one or 2 wives with him" isn't concrete

So the consensus is basically if one party can prove that Tatsumaki can harm citizens willingly and in character, then it's basically GGs for the little boy. If not, then Regulus just has an auto win button.

Tatsumaki casually BFR in an instant (beyond 100 km then Tatsumaki realizes his ability is gone and kills him)

she does not
You clearly have not read One-Punch Man. Tatsumaki has never cared for the lives of others whenever she fights other than when its her main objective hence the name Terrible Tornado. I've already explained above countless of times why Tatsumaki would logically and as per SBA view them as enemies.

I am confused by this match. Nothing Tatsumaki can do will affect Regulus. Her telekinesis cannot move him if he doesn't want it to. Nothing she can throw at him or throw him into will harm him or trouble him in any capacity.

All Regulus needs to do is breathe at her and she's bloody mist before she can think. How is this not a stomp?

Tatsumaki sends him hundreds of thousands kilometers away. after 100 km, he loses connection to his wifes, he dies from air resistance afterwards. all happens beyond his reaction speed.

The moment Regulus makes his breath connected to his authority, Tatsumaki is already beyond his eyesight. He lacks the reaction speed(massively)

Tatsumaki has a very good understanding of his ability. Can easily fool him using decoys. her range is massive and She doesn't even have to be there to fight lmao
