Dragon Ball Daima Spoiler Discussion Thread

SSJ4 aint that much of a big deal at least for the anime and Kibito gets fixe by second season/next movie be it throug a gag (fusion bugs aint used and the story ended in the demon realm and not on earth)
These two above are the hottest takes when it comes to them crying boys and girls. The other things aint a problem since they werent set in stone or a soft retcons.
Anyway ... theres a chance we will get two different timelines not so much cuz of writing, it will be based of legal decisions.
Whats worse - TOEI fan service like SSJ 4 and they delivered it in epic fashion or some speicifc author(s) crying about low sale numbers (multiple times!) like litte kids and thats why they throwed away their own ideas ... for better sale numbers.
At least TOEI doesnt cry like a little b*tch.

As much as it would be nice to have stuff being consistent, it wouldn't be unusual if they just decided it was all the same thing no matter what (For example, although you have example like FNAF having different continues with games, books and movies, there are also cases like Digimon Adventure that has both an anime and a novelization that the same writer said it's all the same thing even if the events are different, and by his own words "If those were different worlds, I would have made that clear", as even the contradictions to him isn't enough to make those different continues).
Honestly, considering the state Dragon Ball is right now (Especially since Toriyama isn't alive anymore), I wouldn't say that anything is 100% confirmed, as the brand is going to be managed now with a completely new perspective.
It could be that for now on to respect Toriyama they'll say everything he ever wrote is the absolute canon and even if material gets contradicted it doesn't matter since all that matters is that they were all written by him.
In the same way they could adress that Toriyama style often resulted in contradictions, which were further expanded by many works having different producers, directors and writers that were adding their own spin to Toriyama's notes, resulting in clear different continuties (As fans often think is the case to separate Dragon Ball Super in at least three different continuities).
The problem is that any possibility here has a non 0 chance of being the one they chose, they could even just not chose anything at all publically and they will just continue making more material without making anything clear.
So as of now, I think it's too soon to say with 100% of certainty what will be decided for sure by Shueisha, Toei, Bandai, and any other company working on DB.

These takes are terrible. It’s saying that dragon ball has many different storylines, and fans were wondering which one daima is part of. That’s pretty clearly talking about canonicity. All those examples are of daima expanding on the lore of the Buu saga, and original work.

To be honest: that's exactly how I look at Dragon Ball canon.
I mean Xenoverse and Heroes have both been trying to create a shared multiverse between all pieces of Dragon Ball media (with some exceptions but, for the most part, it's usually any moderately popular DB media that gets into Heroes). And with Towa and Mira being in DBZ Kakarot, which elements of that game are considered canon here on the wiki, it wouldn't surprise me if it was just straight up stated all Dragon Ball media share the same cosmology.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the only thing Daima would marginally improve is the cosmology. Since the Demon Realm existed before the other universes were made, meaning it was its own space/time outside of the Universe 1-18. But it would still exist within the hypertimelines as a whole?

Cosmology wise it isn't that good. Also (hypothetically if it is canon) it should be part of Dragon Ball Super's hypertimelines, since Trunks' timeline has its own versions of Shin, Kibito, Zamasu, and Dabura who all originate from the Demon Realm.

Goku only knows Majin Daburas strenght and the fact the tamagotcha guys are often mentioned alongside Buu when discussing their power levels ... I do wonder where they scale. Maybe Saiyajin saga victims? 
Ive been more into martial arts/stats equal matches since day 1 ... while their takes arent as bad as DBs H2H takes, they gotta be trolls ... haha.
