The villains that kept you up at night have come out to play.

Shadow Queen is in True Form

Bumping for interest.

Is The Shadow Queen invulnerable by default? If so, what does Him do against that?
I do recall Him being avoidant of direct confrontation & tricky, so leading with hax is plausible, but what can Him achieve?

Now that I think about it, I never asked how HIM activates his haxes. Pretty sure it's gesture but just to be sure, I should probably ask it

It's case by case iirc. He moved the Earth with a hand gesture. His transformations are basically "he just does it" for sure. I recall there was this one episode where Him made the girls suffer through their nightmares and I think that one was a "he just does it" case too.

From what little I managed to remember off the top of my head there, sometimes there's movement involved while other times, Him just... Wills it...

So, when Grodus ordered The Shadow Queen to serve him, she bolted him. As these posts allude to:
how does HIM respond to getting zapped and dura negged by lightning hot enough to instantly vaporize metal?
think her eye flashes briefly, then the lighting strikes

so probs gesture

I don't recall if she does the eye flash in the cutscene.
Mind that my post features some spoilers for TTYD. Especially pertinent now that some people may be first learning of its story via the upcoming remaster.

If The Shadow Queen wanted someone dead, like with how things would assumedly be here, I'd assume she'd do like she did to Grodus not knowing his place.
I can't find any Regeneration, Immortality, Incorporeality, nor default Intangibility for HIM, nor Resurrection for himself.
To his credit, he has this:
But IDK how that compares with the temperature of metal-vaporizing lightning.

So would he survive it?

As for her Invulnerability,
that's for when she assumes her "true form", compared to when she was possessing Peach. Notably, the reason she switched to her True Form is Mario & co. harming her, & her dialogue implies she blames the body of the vessel, Peach that she's using being too familiar for this vulnerability.

Put simply, the bolting Grodus's metal body feat was done in a considerably weaker form than what's being used here.

Huh, that's kinda bad. And from the looks of it, I don't think Shadow Queen has that many insta-win haxes. Is possession one of the things she'd start with?
I'm not entirely sure why she possessed Peach, from a pragmatic perspective. It may have just been her awakening required a vessel presented. Though, The Thousand Year Door being unsealed after a milennia with The Crystal Stars -Which The Shadow Queen created, & the seal had been weakening already earlier in the story anyway, IIRC.- could have contributed to it, too. Acclimation, maybe? Needed a body to help get into form before exiting it to assume true form?

Incidentally, is it IC for HIM to use Telekinesis offensively? Presuming he survives the bolt attack attempt. (Or is that Telekinetically moving the moon rating just for hax/Environmental destruction?)
