Vs battles wiki pet peeves

VS matches that turn into layered hax arguments.
Matches you think sound great but turn into stomps because that MF is one layer higher than you.

Honestly One Piece is so popular that that ain't really the case anymore, I see OP fans pop up in other places carrying over some toxicity from it.

It is not on the same level of a pandemic like JJK though but at least for JJK the memes are somewhat funny.

If I can be forgiven for me saying so:
I like One Piece (I watch the anime at a very slow pace, but don't read the manga. Yes, crazy, I know.) but....
I don't like debating against One Piece.

Haki is often at least 1 or all of:
A. You don't have extreme willpower &/or you're not human? Instantly knocked out/tamed like fodder, GG.
B. Your intangibility (Of whatever kind.) is automatically negated &/or my attacks pierce your defenses & I can block all yours with little to no harm.
C. I auto-predict/dodge what you do.

& Logias with their True Body stuff meaning you seemingly need Power Nullification in your attacks to beat their Elemental Intangibility, even if you normally can beat EI to be able to harm them at all.... (Since otherwise they can auto-regenerate their Logia Body's materials at will, indefinitely, AFAIK.)

Perhaps I'm being unjust &/or hypocritical, but it's a bit frustrating dealing with such invalidatingly influential stuff, you know?

  • Including things like hypertimelines into the wiki is kinda absurd since no real word scientists have discussed about it. Also is there any real work proof by scientists or anyone of that status that a temporal time dimension makes something 3D into 4D?
  • I do feel like lighting/electricity and lasers should be the speed of lighting/electricity and light by default, and that it can only be proven wrong if it shows contradictions/inconsistencies

A. You don't have extreme willpower &/or you're not human? Instantly knocked out/tamed like fodder, GG.
The first one is basically just only for few conquerors haki users, if you at least are strong or have strong willpower you shouldn’t get fully knocked out

And the stuff with creatures is just haki effecting them much more like Pokémon having 2x damage against flying types kinda
B. Your intangibility (Of whatever kind.) is automatically negated
Arm Haki wouldn't do damage on an elemental being with no true body (like flames with a soul) unless the elemental being can get damaged if they get physically attacked 🤔

I mean 🤷‍♂️, if it’s about the Pokémon verse vs op verse then it will be like that… unless you pick an op character that doesn’t have those types of abilities

So that's a trait of animals in the One Piece world?
Or a trait of Haki that it automatically affects non-humans/non-humanoids more?

What distinguishes something with no True Body from something without?
Smiley is a gas that consumed an Axolotl Devil Fruit, right? What about it?

I will admit that it was inspired by the recent match that I have shamefully neglected to continue participating in (I am interested in continuing that discussion, though, however assuring or not some may find me saying that) but as for picking characters, I almost never make Versus Threads, nor threads in general, & most of the past few times I've done so, it didn't involve Pokemon, IIRC.
Sorry if you mind that of me.
Also, if you'll pardon my asking, should I assume you take no issue with my assessment of Observation Haki, since you didn't quote nor respond about it??

I do like to participate in Pokemon-related threads, though, even if I don't often create them.

Logia intangibility being treated like a complete immunity to haki-less brute force attack always sends me
There does seem to be valid reasoning for it, like how Aokiji's arm being damaged persists despite that he could otherwise regenerate a lost arm. But he can't with one lost by these means.

non humans it seems, could maybe have something to do with intellect?, there might be some translation about that but I haven't yet researched that

Uhh 🤔... Well if it fully transforms into an Axolotl, then yee... Their body becomes connected with the fruit so maybe it could by effecting the devil fruit, which you're then effecting the user? So could kinda work but a different way to logias I assume

Someone with no true body is basically someone with no physical body... Haki forces the elements property to solidify (stated with Rayleigh and even shown with luffy being able to physically punch flames as a solid) to than hit their true body, a flame tho can't get damaged from a physical attack as it's just flames so it won't cause it damage unless you attack it's soul directly
Sorry if you mind that of me.
I don't mind 😅 it's ok

Yee it's about right, observation haki enables you to increase your senses and also gives you new ones which give you the ability to use precog, auto dodge and stuff, which works subconsciously

So here's another thing that grinds my gears.
Sonic the Hedgehog verse.
I think that Low 2-C base Sonic is kinda abysmal, or at the very least everyone scaling to him is. Heck, I'd say arguing for tier 4 base is already sorta generous.
I think his tier varies according with how the story intends to go. I also think that, while I get the reason why IDW is considered canon, it still makes the whole scaling even worse since we've got characters being threatened by basic tier 8 bombs there and by zombots who are basically metallic versions of people with maybe slightly amped stats. I think that for every consistent part of that scaling there's even more inconsistency. I get that this happens a lot in games but it just feels so awkward seeing Sonic be basically infinitely above anything 3D when it comes to AP despite the fights and the scaling being very grounded.

This is how the Mario incident happens again
