The Revenant Marvel Comics Discussion Thread

Thanks both of you for answering, but IMO the Elder Gods are definitely gonna need some profiles once part 3 is out, especially since we have stuff like Scarlet Witch absorbing Chthon entirely.
Yeah, i don't even know why the hell at least gaia doesn't gave one. She is the mother of thor and has helped in the fight with the Chaos King.

Interesting.
So High 1-B possession 💀
Bruh, you think that's impressive, Doctor Doom using magic mind-hax was holding Scarlet Witch's mind together against Chthon's Madness hax, and was unaffected by the same madness manipulation in Darkhold: Omega.

At minimum that's 2-A/4-D mindhax (and resistance to madness manipulation on that same level) since Scarlet Witch mentally fought and resisted the Serpent Crown in a mental battle that spanned endless dimensions, but it could be MUCH higher, knowing how strong Chthon was (Chthon was slightly weakened at this point but probably not enough to drop him multiple levels of tier 1, especially since Wanda said that this was Chthon's strongest form yet).

Also, Doom resisted the soul possession of Daniel Drumm, whose possession overrode Nightmare's mind-control of Ghost Rider. He did possess Doom initially, but after like 2 minutes Doom kicked him out of his body.

I found this YT video. I think it has some interesting scaling (especially for Yggdrasil) when anyone has time ya'll should look at it. you can ignore scaling though.

I'd also like to note how here, Doom and Wanda unifying their magic allowed them together to block a blast from the same slightly weakened Chthon.

Outlier? 50/50 chance. Legendary moment? Yep!

Also, Wanda later backstabs Doom (as in, sets him on fire so that she can have Chthon's power for herself), actually matches Chthon for a few panels, then absorbs him.

In other words...she probably needs a High 1-A key. Or at least an addition to her current key saying "Up to High 1-A with absorption"

I think Cosmic Cube's durability should be downgraded.

IIRC some humans were able to shatter it like Nick Fury and Bucky.

Hence the "varies"

Has anyone thought about just giving street tiers a “varies” rating in terms of stats? At least the lower and middle values (Wall+ and Building level)

We accept variable tiers for a lot of the Heralds iirc, but for some reason we just have flat ratings for street tiers. despite them being nearly just as variable in terms of who they can and can’t fight and the feats they can perform.

Wall level+, Building level at peak. Stuff like that

We give them vary because if the character has a verse reason e.g Hulk's rage, Sentry's mental stability, Juggernaut dependence on Cytorrak, Thor and Odin (Sleep can affect Odinforce) etc.

For a Variable tier, it needs an active mechanic; for example, Moon Knight's thing with the moon and Khonshu's humor.

I'm actually planning a CRT exactly for that for MK, I'm just waiting for a calculation (if it ever happens) and a few more feats of intelligence. (MK's above averange is pretty cringe ngl)

Next year we will be getting volume 2 of Vengeance of the Moon Knight with a brand-new outfit for him.

I'm eating good.

Is somebody willing to update Onslaught's first statistics key? And would giving him the same statistics as The Juggernaut be appropriate?

What do y’all think we should do with Onslaughts first key, I don’t know anything about him so I can’t say much, just bringing this post up.

I believe we should upgrade Captain America's shield's durability to High 1-B, as it withstood a hammer strike from Odinforce Thor and was only dented (Avengers Vol 3 #63). It's consistently portrayed as needing this level of force to break, as the five times it's been destroyed were by the Molecule Man (Avengers Vol 1 #215), which is durability negation from High 1-B molecular smurf hax, by Doctor Doom with the Beyonder's power (Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #12), who is High 1-B, by the Beyonder's vibranium cancer (Captain America Vol 3 #21), which is durability negation and came from a wish with High 1-B potency, by Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet (Infinity Gauntlet Vol 1 #4), who is Low 1-A, and by Cul Borson augmented with humanity's fear (Fear Itself Vol 1 #5), who is High 1-B.

Seems fine.

The Thorbuster armour that fought on par with King Thor is currently rated as High 3-A, but if that gets upgraded to High 1-B, I don't have a major issue with upgrading Cap's shield yet

I agree
