It’s a folded up umbrella which can look like a cane, a black staff, etc. it was thrown directly to his face so he wasn’t even looking at an angle to make out what it is.

It’s best to not assume the umbrella is thrown at FTE speeds. Osanai clearly saw something coming even tho it was fast, so his brain registered something but couldn’t quite make out what it is so he just slapped it away first and got a closer look.
Yup, that suggests that it was really fast, if it was like a basic FTE punch or kick by other character like Hanma and Draken, he'd easily notice it, here it's the opposite.

What would be the alternative if you disagree? I think using baseline superhuman is egregiously wrong.

Doesn’t FTE mean it’s faster than what the brain can even register what you’re seeing?
What I'm trying to say is.
South can easily deal with attacks from characters who scale at FTE.
Here he had a hard time dealing with the thrown object.
Meaning the speed of the projectile was faster than your basic FTE attacks.

FTE here would mean 34.3m/s or above, atleast that's the definition I know about
Yeah. The reasoning for Subsonic being the go-to "blitzing a regular human speed" is that humans can track things like motorbikes and such that move at subsonic speeds, so to blitz a human and move so fast they can't react (at a close range, of course) things should logically be faster.
The range is kinda important since planes for example move at 244m/s but I can easily track a plane cuz it's so far away.

Okay now that the South Calc and the Takemichi calcs are well grounded and use better reasonings. What other calcs have issues?

We are just waiting for a CGM to check them he already rejected One takemichi calc, there is no need to discuss again since whatever we are syaing now Is already been said

Precognition “boots” reaction time. Think of it this way.

When a character dodges, they have to do the following:
percieve attack -> think -> dodge the attack

Precog essentially lowers or even remove the time needed for perception and thought because those two actions have been done before the attack. So all Takemichi does is dodge. Meaning his body can evade at those speeds when perception and thought are out of the way.

A case can even be made for aimdodge but the panel used for the calc acts as a counter cuz his body dodged after Mikey began swinging.

Ultimately it should be indexed as “supersonic+ Via precognition)
Ok, but the character speed stays the same lol. That was the whole point.

34.3 m/s seems fine to me, but is contradicted by calc stacking rules, so I am neutral.

Have repeated myself many times that if you guys can prove that he is casually FTE, it should do fine.
BOS Mikey can already kick characters without them seeing his kick coming.

Using character reactions is idiocy because CGMs refuse to accept it.

Taiju's feat is FTE because there are direct statements, but characters reactions are just darn done, it's obvious that you would be surprised if your teammate got done bad.

I'm referring to the characters that got kicked, not the reactions of other characters who aren't kicked. It's crystal clear than characters like osanai didn't see Mikey's kick incoming.

Hanma, Taiju, Osanai and some 1 or 2 more, they are the only proofs. Mikey has done a ton of kicks already to be honest.

You could argue that kicks thrown towards Osanai was his casual speed, because he was suppressed + not very serious there + it was the beginning of the series where he is far weaker than he is compared to other arcs.

Hanma and Osanai? Nah he Just blitz the reaction I have no idea how you bring them even superhuman in speed in the first acts when there are no subsonic feats honestly they have athlete human to peak human reaction at best I don't remember any decent feat in speed for them at the start, maybe Hanma for blocking Mikey's kick but again you dont know the speed of that kick there are no statment even syaing he was going all out considering he wasn't even in DI in the first act

You guys don't even seem to bother about it. I guess I will have to put on my arguments. Hanma's kick was when Mikey was in DI, and Mikey was in DI in the final arc too (actually on a much larger scale).

Mikey seriously hold backs a ton in his normal fights, but in DI, no way. In DI, Mikey's only aim is to kill his opponents. With that aim in mind, he never hold backs in that state.

Normally, a human can use up to 60% of his/her strength, DI should likely be the 100%.

The fact that he has been holding back:
  • Seemed like he struggled with Hanma in the Valhalla arc, but then did him in one shot when he was in DI. It happened in the same arc.
  • Took a punch from Taiju as a "punishment", but kicked him so hard that it created a "dull sound" (in the manga) and "loud thud" (in the anime).

I am not going to include Osanai and others, they are really weak opponents, Hanma and Taiju are seriously very strong.

No.

Yeah but is like superhuman and Mikey already has a superhuman feat early if in not wrong but those kick aren't 34 m/s maybe only Hanma's one in the second arc because Mikey was DI

It depends on the state Mikey is in and how much he supresses his DI, against Hanma he wasn't going to kill him because Takemichi stopped Mikey and again in the final arc he was supressing his DI we see him realeasing them at the end when in fact killed Takemichi

It is calc stacking to assume that Mikey would be kicking at the same speed every time.

Mikey doesn’t kick at a specific speed but his kicks always surpass the 34.2 threshold which is why we always use that threshold for calcs so it’s not calc stacking. Mikey just so happens to always scale above said threshold. At least that’s how I see it.

will get opinion from mods.

I knew this was gonna happen, so I already mentioned "on a much higher scale".

They Just couldn't react, if you can't react you can't even move your eye
Nah nah, they clearly DIDN'T see the kick incoming, there was no indication to suggest that the saw the kick incoming.
Give me a panel that shows that they saw the kick.

There's not much information about it, but DI Mikey should fit this.

Also your scaling of Osanai makes ZERO sense whatsoever.

The average delinquent can easily tank mental pipe on the head and be fine, and can fight for a long period of time.
This two alone proves the average delinquent is like atleast peak human.

Pah can LOW-DIFF SEVERAL of these delinquents at once, which would make him atleast superhuman.

And osanai LOW-DIFFED Pah Chin. Meaning he scales pretty good at the superhuman range.

Bro? I dont have to prove Mikey was subsonic when even a superhuman can do that, maybe for you they didn't see it coming but there are no statments for that we assume every character is subsonic because the opponent didn't block his attack? Nah that's crazy again if you are faster than my reaction I can't even move my eyes
