What is Chad's answer to being spammed by a flurry of danmaku from a flying opponent? Though considering the starting distance, Meiling will likely try to fight him in CQC first, and it seems like both of them are even in the skill department.

it's mid godly for their soul, they can still die a physical death.

Again, would it be in-character for him to bury a character under rubble, and if he would try to restrain her in place. I don't see what's stopping Meiling from using danmaku if they try to have a close fight and he grabs her, considering he doesn't know anything about her powers.

I’d say meiling can possibly pull a win though since she is possibly equal in skill and she has slightly higher ap

I don't think blocking 108 projectiles that are going in the same direction is at all comparable to dodging hundreds of projectiles that surround every single direction you're in. Since Meiling doesn't have to follow Spell Card rules in this fight either, she also doesn't need to intentionally create free space with her danmaku to allow Chad to evade her attack easily, and can create as many homing projectiles as she wants to overwhelm him.

The projectiles shown for Chad don't feel like they're anywhere near as difficult as Touhou's danmaku. It's fast but straightforward when Touhou projectiles are fast and abundant. It's much harder dodging projectiles around you than blocking projectiles only in front of you.

Other than that. Meiling has the AP advantage (although not a huge difference between them). But grabbing her doesn't seem like a viable strategy. Touhou characters are shown to produce shockwaves or even create forcefields which could hinder his attempts at a chokehold. Even if that isn't enough, Youkais can become intangible by turning into mist (which I don't know how likely she is to use that or if it'll be effective against Mr Chad).
Or...you know...blast or attack him the moment he tries.

Point being, there seems to be quite a few ways for her to get out of being pinned/strangled. I feel like she'll do sufficient amount of damage before he really gets the chance to try that method.

Noted for the NPI. (I didn't see it on his profile hence why I was unsure).

But that wasn't my point. He COULD physically do so, but the problem is putting someone in a chokehold (in this context) doesn't exactly seem viable? Meiling has multiple ways to escape or prevent such a thing (can you even strangle mist...?) to the point it feels like a near impossible wincon for him. Far less likely than her just...overwhelming him with her superior AP and bullet rain?

(Skimmed through her profile again, it seems she's capable of slowing down things in her near vicinity as well...which is another advantage).
