Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

I mean usually we wouldn’t want people to be sarcastic in these threads, but this is legitimate evidence so…yeah, this is only proving the fact that it’s not a joke further

I think some action should be taken
Lon

My guy

This is literally the stuff i was banned for the first time, this is not something new. Why should i be punished for the same thing twice, i already served my ban for that one.

A joke would be a single post with pretty obvious irony, these are spammed posts in different servers. This is clearly not a bit
They're not in different servers, they're in just one server, and minutes apart.

That was the thing he was banned for over a year ago. He shouldn't be banned for that again.

Please post those so we can properly understand them. Maybe those will tip the scales.
I mean i'll post those willingly if yall will give me a few minutes to collect scans, im not going to hide that i ask for input on threads in the discord servers just like everyone else, im just not sure why that would be damning evidence

It depends on the way you ask for it.

Whether you're asking for evaluation. A specific vote because you've talked to the person before and already know they believe that. Or if you're just asking for mindless FRAs.
This is a typo on my part, I meant to say channels. My point still stands
It doesn't. They were in the same channel.

These are prolly similar to glass's screenshots in question, but eh whatever.

This, this, this, this, this, this

(I don't have time to compile all of this into imgur anyways)
The first few were posted already. The third-last one (aka this one) is new and has no context that makes it better. The last one (aka this one) is new, but has context you left out that makes it fine.

Weekly clearly knows how to ask for thread evals in a fine way, but is sometimes failing to do that (i.e. in 1 of these 3 cases). idk the best way to deal with it. Strict warning? Short ban?

On an off-site discord server, not on the wiki. I dont see how thats a rule violation.
Okay, so two things I wanna bring up

A)
  • Actions that lead to the destabilization of the site (such as videos, forum posts, Discord chats, etc. that create drama), whether or not it was systematic. To determine what counts as destabilization of the site one should mostly look at the consequences of said act rather than the individual act itself.
I would like to note it is totally fine to send threads through discord for knowledgeable members to give input. But this is straight up begging spam. This is a breach. You don’t ask for agreements. You ask for input

B) So you say it’s a joke, but then turn around and say “it’s off site, doesn’t count”

Which one is it? Because in either argument you’ve made, you clearly don’t side with both at the same time

Frankly, due to past behavior and the fact it's hard for me to see the humor in those messages, I'm inclined to believe it is in legitimate begging for votes for his side
I will start clarifying what is and is not a joke in my posts if that helps in any way

Meh, it was begging spam, in response to someone else doing shitposting spam, and was followed up by him actually providing arguments minutes later.

The main one I take issue with is this, and this to some extent but that was again shortly before he posted arguments, so not as much.

The way I read that was "I said that as a joke" and "The spam aspect doesn't matter since it's off-site, and we don't care about spam on other platforms"; one can side with both of those.
I would prefer to not be banned over a joke again, i will start clarifying what is and is not a joke in my posts if that helps in any way
That would help, actually.

Or if you're just asking for mindless FRAs.
This "weekly we are not going to throw random agrees just because you asked for it"
To which the reply was "why not?; yall do it for each other all the time, help me out once"

This is the only one where he asked for mindless FRA, the rest are just needless and annoying spamming which are not report worthy on their own since it is offsite

This pretty much tells us how much of a “joke” the spam is

I just can’t legitimately believe this is a joke in the face of the evidence. Weekly literally said “blindly agree please, people do it all the time”

Honestly, you need to start taking accountability for your own actions, you can't always excuse them as "jokes" when you've been caught for your actions

Sorry for interrupting again, I'm just trying to help by clearing this up, but I'm only gonna quote something AKM posted in April:
Off-site behavior is usually irrelevant except in cases of:
Actions that lead to the destabilization of the site (such as videos, forum posts, Discord chats, etc. that create drama), whether or not it was systematic. To determine what counts as destabilization of the site one should mostly look at the consequences of said act rather than the individual act itself.
Threatening someone off-site, be it a threat of violence, hacking, doxxing, sexual harassment, etc.
Harassment of users in their immediate surroundings (ex. Someone constantly messaging you with insulting comments via DMs or PMs)
Engaging in online criminal activity (Not including piracy).
Impersonating someone for malicious purposes.

Weekly. The best thing you can do here is be honest and say that you messed up. Please stop writing it off as a joke
Alright, i messed up. I will be clearer in my statements going forward. Please dont ban me over something so small.

Like i said above, both Lephyr and Ant already warned me about this and threatened to report me but did not, i dont know if there was some miscommunication orif Glass just didnt care but this information was already known and was decided to not be severe enough to warrant a report.

Was it about this specific event, those specific Discord messages, and not just something similar?
