Will You Shatter Fate? - RP Thread

She did just as Yuri said, taking deep breaths due to the pressure.

"Thanks, ma'am, I can never really owe [you], e- even if it's such a small thing..." she muttered.
"It's no problem, Yumi. You just have a bit of anxiety, but that's not anything to be ashamed about." Yuri said with a smile.
Hikaru walked into the cave, a small ball of light in his hand. Turning to the old man he asked, “You said before that you were an apostle like us, right? If that’s the case would you be willing to tell us about your abilities and where they originate from?” He was curious to learn as much as he could.
"A word of advice from an old man... Don't reveal your cards immediately to a stranger." The old man said, "Keep your hand to yourself for as long as you can..."

They eventually came up to a large wooden door that had been built into the structure of the cave, with two torches having been seemingly... fused with the walls, the flame lighting up the bottom portion of the cave.

"We're here. Make yourself at home while you can." The old man said with a crooked smile, "Try not to... break anything."

Ashe stared at the wooden door for a moment, hesitating ever so slightly.

"...Hey mister...do ya...uh...mind if I just...stand in the doorway?" Ashe said quietly. He scratched his neck, droplets of water inundating the ground below.

"......" Ashe said nothing, seemingly a bit embarrassed.

"...I spent...a uh...long time...indoors, when I was alive. Couldn't do much about it. But...now that I'm up n' able, I'd rather, stay outside for a bit longer."

"Ya understand, yes?"
"Well, you're free to go wherever you like, son, although I wouldn't recommend going to far from the cave entrance if I were you, if you wanna keep your life." The old man warned, "The Guardian can get you anywhere above the Earth... the Forest is her territory."

Ashe nodded quickly, flashing him a small smile.

"...Thank ya, mister. I...I won't wander too far." He said.

"Nice digs you got here, man! Kinda reminds me of my house in Bel-Air; God, I used to host the rawest parties there." Jack complimented while reminiscing about is old life.

Ashe nodded quickly, flashing him a small smile.

"...Thank ya, mister. I...I won't wander too far." He said.
"... I prefer the outdoors myself, but yes, we wouldn't want to miss you so soon, swimmer." Kuthaliara said, smiling a little

Hyde immediately started work, using his control over the fires of Hades to burn a table to take out of the wall, where he began bringing out rocks, clearly experimenting with souls

"It's no problem, Yumi. You just have a bit of anxiety, but that's not anything to be ashamed about." Yuri said with a smile.
"Thanks a lot!" she said gleefully, smiling as she brims with happiness.

"Woooww..." Yumi exclaimed.

Loka simply followed through, having nothing to say at the matter.

"Hey guys, I don't mean to alarm you, but I sense another presence in the caves." Jack said as he tried to focus his telepathy on the figure. "It's a bit fuzzy, but it might be an enemy. I suggest keeping your guard up."

"Oh, don't worry about them... I told you I'd taken in some others, yes? Specifically, I took in two strays before the Guardian could kill then. Play nice with them, hoho..." The old man said, before walking off into a deeper, more private part of the cave.

"À" Tom says before relax

"Uhhh, sure..." Yumi commented.

Loka followed the old man, having been bored out of his mind.

The old man turned back to notice Loka following him, before simply turning forward once more and continuing to walk, not seeming to care if he was followed. They eventually reached deeper into the cave, where barely any light reached, only the old man's torch illuminating the way.

"Got anything to say to me? I don't look that insulting now, do I?"

"Not that... I simply have to focus immensely on the task I'm about to complete. I'm glad you're the only one who decided to follow me, really."

"Oh, okay... But about the "decided to follow me" part. That, to me, sounds like a trap. Just being frank though..." he replied.

They eventually came up to a small wooden door, "You may consider it like that, if you want... you'll be risking your life by entering this door with me, anyway, so it's fine to consider it a trap."

Hyde breathed out, the light was dying down, this experiment was a flying success, all he needed to do, was test it. "Yuri. This is a scanner that requires testing." It looked like an ancient tablet, a subtle purple glow rising from it
Ashe flashed Kuthaliara a soft smile.

“Don’t worry ‘bout me, miss. I don't plan on losing my second life so soon.” He said.

"I don't... exactly know what this is, Sir." Yuri muttered, looking down at the device.
"Right right.... Anyway, what's behind this door?"
"You'll see..." The old man opened the door swiftly, stepping through. The space rippled like water as he stepped through the door, clearly this was some sort of portal.

"It scans atoms and higher for deformities and issues, as well as scanning the soul." Hyde said, motioning to the very center of it, a small carving around it hinted that it could be a button

"...Very, very intriguing." Yuri murmured. She wasn't exactly unfamiliar with technology that could scan atoms, but the soul itself...? A new field of study for her entirely.
