Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

It's not a major offense, this one. Dude has a lot of contributions, at least some of which, I presume, aren't degenerate. Two-weeks to a month seems fine to me, with increasing length if this goes on. I will admit I'm not familiar with the context of his past ban.

That was last warning, from two weeks ago, not the last ban. Unless it was also at the last ban. Regardless, as Crab said, we're not babysitters. Compassion is a consideration we must take, but it is not the sole factor- when compassion fails to produce reform, we're left with little choice.

As multiple staff members have liked my post, I will take that as agreement to a two-week ban. There's not really any defense available, I feel, as this is a very simple open-and-shut case. I'll put the ban through.
 
Can you link to Damage's comment that was bad?

EDIT: I'm very stupid, I thought you meant the comment Damage made on the thread itself, I've now clicked the actual link and see what you're saying, apologies.

He's in the total right tbh (Or at least a bit). We shouldn't close threads without giving any justification for the OP. The guy spent a good time writing the whole thread only to be instantly ignored and have the topic closed in the first two comments. It is simply frustrating and human

Like, I understand that there are justifications to close the thread, but at least give the guy the reason

@LIFE_OF_KING He's right to be upset, but not to take that kind of tone with Arc7Kuroi.

Hopefully he will accepted Arc7's offer to talk and they can hash it out.

I was going to leave the user a message advising them on what to do next, but they left a message on my wall first.

For the record, I think that me leaving my standard (rather long) mental health self-help advice message is just basic consideration for others and doesn't cause any harm.
 
Your considerations for the mental health of our users is extremely appreciated, Ant, as someone who has received more than a couple of such messages. I don't think Crab thinks we shouldn't have any care for our users- just that our users cannot expect us to accommodate fully for their issues because our asses aren't trained to do that, nor is that why we're here. It's a kindness that you take the steps that you do.

Never said it does and never said you shouldn't.

I am simply against coddling users because they're going through difficult times. As Bambu once said, this site has a history of being deeply understanding of mental health issues, and that is good. However, technically our job only involves managing a forum, not extending council, though obviously people may and will do so anyway because of an inherent desire to help.

The therapy suggestion is more so just an optional volunteer thing, me and Antvasima are obviously the types who would want to reach out to those people. I do agree it is none of the staff member's jobs and if a health issue is bad to the point of being out of control, then banning them would actually be better for both the community and their own mental health.

We're just saying that he is welcome to message Antvasima on Fanfiction about suggestions and what not. Or me on Discord. Of course, what Bambu said about the reasons for the ban are of course legit nor is it really part of our job.

In all seriousness, I have no idea whether or not it violates forum rules so I will defer to the admins, but this won't become an arena for public debate about the subject, so future non-staff comments on the matter will be removed.
 
While the thread and the term itself isn't necessarily breaking any rules, I still think making an entire topic based on it is probably bad in regards to the reputation and some such of the site and the users. Basically, I'm not gonna pull anyone's ears over it, but I closed the thread and expect the topic to not be touched again.
 
Yeah, it honestly just sounds like a thread asking for the strongest "Little girls" on the wiki that is a Fun and Games. It may be worded poorly or prone to attract some weirdo's or creeps, but I don't think it was made using harmful intent and was just another admiration for the "So adorable yet so overpowered" trope.

But Crabwhale's decision seems fine to me.

Well Loli is usually a kind of character but "boobs" seems much worse in terms of sexual intent.
But if you are ok with it
 
I don't think I need to argue why loli can devolve into much worse shit than breast talk can. I also don't think I need to point out the average rate of degeneracy present in people who like boobs vs people who like lolis. This is the last word on this conversation. If you want to talk more about it, do it somewhere else.

just to clarify, all of tier 1 DMC profiles are currently open, iirc it is that way after the verse upgrade to 1-C (9D) is accepted, profiles are unlocked and still open to this day

I would like to have a list of the open tier 1 profiles from any DMC supporters in my profile so i can lock them.
