He also stayed airborne for a while for the Bajrang Gun. It makes no sense that stretching his arm and grabbing Kaido would keep Luffy floating. Unless he already can.

He can shape change like gear third
He can muscle manip like gear four
He can dope for his heart rate increase like G2
He also states he feels like he can do everything he wanted to do. Which leads me to:

He demonstrates air-running as well. Imo he has multiple types of flying/levitation based showings when awakened for it to be limited to running only

It SHOULD be "true" flight because he should be able to use the spring legs to fly on air from G4, as it's just his body being more free while keeping everything from before.

Well of course, because aside from the obvious perverseness, nobody ever found the clear illogical stuff sanji was doing with his body out of logical standard in the world itself. But Kaido felt the need to point this “Goofyness” of Luffy’s out like it wasn’t something ordinary.

No no- I meant, because he can turn living/non-living things into ONLY rubber, shouldn't Transmutation be limited to just his element? (Rubber, in this case)
Unless Transmutation doesn't have a "limited" so long as you can change the composition of something?

And being goofy is what any character in One piece can do. Luffy is clearly special in this department as stated by Kaido.
