Word of advice, don't. Personal experience.i know it isn't but for example a verse i like is danganronpa and i personally don't like the new style for junko
so what happens am i gonna duke it out, rock paper scissor to decide the style with @ElixirBlue or what
Same, I loathe it.I hate it, personally. Takes up a lot of space, looks ugly and is not even easier to read.
Yeah, I like it for certain profiles myself, but I fully agree it's not suitable for all profiles. This is exactly why it isn't mandatory.to be honest i like it, maybe isn't made for profiles with a lot of hax, but for the rest its great, it makes you see clearly the abilities and its good
been working on big profiles like this one so i don't really care about the amount of time i spend on the thing but more on how it looksWord of advice, don't. Personal experience.
And yes, this editing style is not mandatory. Frankly put, this would straight up stop ******* working on big profiles like Dante, Kratos or even Kirby. On big profiles with a shitton of abilities, bullet-pointing and multiple tabbers will be the bane of your existence.
I was actually referring to abstain from using bullet points for these large profiles and going the tabber within a tabber within a tabber within a tabber format like on Sonic.been working on big profiles like this one so i don't really care about the amount of time i spend on the thing but more on how it looks
So a Hyper Tabber?I was actually referring to abstain from using bullet points for these large profiles and going the tabber within a tabber within a tabber within a tabber format like on Sonic.
Thought so.what
is
that

Don't make objective claims like this, that's up to opinion too, a "wall of text" profile needs you to move your eyes less and linking to only one or two words causes the color contrast to help with readability, when you need to scroll and look around way more to analyze the same amount of information, that's worse in my bookI can understand people not liking it from a subjective, aesthetic perspective but it is inherently superior for readability.
Oh yeah that's gonna help with readability, putting half the P&A section at the bottom of the page while the rest is at the top.Justifications can take up less space thanks to references or note sections so the profiles won't be as long.

Putting info in notes "disperses" it on order to keep pages from being bloated. In my own experience, very little profiles are improved by making information more dispersed and disjointed, so again, subjective
i was actually gonna suggest thisThis might be a bit off-topic, but something that I wish more profiles (especially ones that are wall of text or have too many blue links) did was bold the abilities of a character, and leave the scans normal as is. It makes reading through them so much easier, and makes it harder for you to skip some random hax while checking their abilities.
And forces someone to constantly reference two different locations in the page at once to interpret what could all be in one place.Putting info in notes "disperses" it on order to keep pages from being bloated.
That could be worth trying for some of mine, actuallyThis might be a bit off-topic, but something that I wish more profiles (especially ones that are wall of text or have too many blue links) did was bold the abilities of a character, and leave the scans normal as is. Would it be possible to shorten the point from which the box starts to scroll? Like, it appears long because the box is long and starts to scroll only after awhile, if we could reduce this the problem would be solved. It takes up more space generally, true, but it is nowhere near as ugly as the previous appearance for the Power & Abilities section, and it actually lines up more with the rest of the profile's formatting like the Notable Attacks sections or the bolding on the ratings for statistics.
Agreed, this is what I do with prominent and complex abilities whose comprehensive description requires more than a few sentences. The Notables Techniques/Abilities was suppossed to cover that kind of format, like, you write X Power (Via Y ability) and then you go to the Notable Techniques to the the ability's description (unless the power is pretty simply, in which case one simply writes the description within parentheses).
The scrollbox is adjustable in height, yes.Would it be possible to shorten the point from which the box starts to scroll? Like, it appears long because the box is long and starts to scroll only after awhile, if we could reduce this the problem would be solved.
It's more of aesthetic change not everyone is gonna like (i know alot who don't) but i do agree with gews that we shouldn't judge an entire profile for it's style but i still ******* hate it lolThe new style is 100% gonna be be on every profile with enough time and everyone is gonna wonder why the Hell they used to be formatted like Yugioh cards
LOL oh hell nahI was actually referring to abstain from using bullet points for these large profiles and going the tabber within a tabber within a tabber within a tabber format like on Sonic.
No it isn’t. Until I’m missing something it’s not mandatory. The new style is 100% gonna be be on every profile with enough time
I agree. Scrollboxes and bullet-points are flat-out unnecessary for profiles that short.... Ignoring that take...
I mean no offense by this but ElixirBlue is absolutely not using this format properly, as I understand it's for mid-size P&A with a lot of explanation to them, but they've been using it for the most basic profiles possible and IMO it's just ugly, especially when tabbers are involved
The scrollboxes are unnecessary, but the bullet points don't harm it. It's just a better way of displaying info as a list than making it one paragraph.I agree. Scrollboxes and bullet-points are flat-out unnecessary for profiles that short.
Bullet points for profiles with 4 abilities ending in one to two lines? Seriously? The scrollboxes are unnecessary, but the bullet points don't harm it. It's just a better way of displaying info as a list than making it one paragraph.
