CW Flash Revision

Another classic.

Random Lady: ‘We’ll need 3.86 terajoules.’

Cisco: ‘That’s more energy than the sun has!’

The Sun: Just the total radiation that hits Earth every second is 45,000 times more powerful.
What makes these statements even worse is that we're actually supposed to believe that these people are geniuses and are unmatched in intelligence but that aside what's this trillion fps feat mentioned above

In the Nora flashback/forward episode, Godspeed commits an act of larceny so fast that trillion FPS future cameras can only capture his lightning.

Edit: Clip, but it cuts off before they say the framerate.

Edit 2: Season 5 Episode 18.

Ah yes, the geniuses who constantly act like a sitcom casting and bratty teenagers, stop talking to the bad guy before simply watching a bit what's happening before taking them down in a second, throw random numbers that are completely wrong, let themselves drown by their emotions, think they can solve any problem with a speech about the power of love/good/friendship (there's no wrong proposition there) and so on

I viciously hate Felicity in Arrow but AT LEAST the show has the decency to make it believable that she's a genius...most of the time

Lmao at this point it starts to become valid that Arrowverse just has completely different physics and measuring systems from our universe.

@Spino Are you doing any of the calculations? I could also do a few.
We should also add as a weakness that his brain cannot understand that people don't just vanish from existence because they walked out of the room or exited his field of view.
Flash and Iris are on good terms.
Alarm goes off.
’Sorry Iris, this city needs me.’
Iris :(
Flash enters bank/abandoned warehouse (depends on the budget).
‘let the hostage(s) go. I’m too lazy to help them myself.’
Villain throws Palpatine Force Lightning
‘Turns out video games don’t improve your aim at all.’
Villain shoots at civilian, forcing the Flash to save them (or attempt to).
Villain is gone within milliseconds.
Surprise, despite just wasting time.
‘I wish I could have stopped them. If only I wasn’t so powerless.’

Barry: There's nowhere to run!
Villain: Smash Bros Brawl introduction intensifies

Ugh, I remember the first calc for the Arrowverse I did, where I calculated Flash going from a Central City prison to China. It got like Relativistic results, iirc. But I also remember that I was so angry at what happened afterwards: he was quite literally caught in 4K running on an average security camera because plot and they wanted some way for the guy to find out he's the Flash. I was literally heated at the idiocy of the scene.

Honestly, I would say that we should go with Proposal 1, but at the same time, the writers are so bad at being consistent with Barry's speed that you get him running from Central City to China in one scene and then getting tagged by someone who uses literal sound-based attacks from a violin in another (those happened in the same season and in that order, mind you), and in that same season imply that Barry is faster than light (Cecile made a comment about it during the trial, iirc), yet have him struggle with a character who uses outright light-based attacks. This is the same show that has a 4-D Speed Force, yet implies yeeting a nuke into it will destroy the entire Speed Force (even though they uses the Speed Force in that same episode to stop the nuke lol). Even in Season 1, there are High Hypersonic+ feats for Barry, but they still try to say he's Mach 2-3. And God forbid I mention all the times where Barry gets distracted by a diversion made by the villain, and they get away. They get away from the Fastest Man Alive, even though depending on what key he is, he would literally be fast enough to search the entire city (though they realistically shouldn't be able to get far).

The whole thing is stupid to me. It's hard to do feats over statements when they can't even take their feats seriously or make them consistent. For now, I say do Proposal 1.

No wonder I came up with the idea of a fan-series that would parody this show and have everyone used as optimally as possible.

This entire series in a nutshell

You think I’m joking but the comics has stuff like that where moving at the speed of sound is a threat to the universe and the speed of light is beyond the Bleed/the concepts of space and time.

Heck technically Arrowverse is a part of the comics cosmology, but you can’t prove those same rules apply to it.

Honestly, the only thing that could get me back into the show is the new Flash Armageddon event. Peak petty Reverse Flash is the best kind of Reverse Flash.
Agreed, that aspect was perfectly done and Thawne rocks...until the end (Joe, you dumbass cringe cliché)

The comics also have the lightsaber thing but this was consistent, the CW tried to create a universe that was supposed to be taken seriously when focused on battles and threats so that aspect of the comics was beyond ridiculous

Wait seriously? I know about SF constructs but not this.

The existence of LoT threw all that out of the window… comics are way more serious than Arrowverse.

What happened?
Basically, Thawne wants to create his own Flashpoint to replace Barry but after Barry stops his timeline, time itself starts to erase him from existence because he's a paradox so he comes to Barry to get help and survive. Everybody in the team, including Barry and Iris, agree to let him die because he's just a petty sadistic sociopath without any hope of redemption and a monster who made Barry's life a living hell and outright and proudly said he would continue to mess with him...everybody except Joe, who starts ranting about how that's not what heroes do and they should save him because for some reason, if they let a deranged sociopath die out of his own actions, they will become monsters. And of course, they ultimately agree and simply take away his powers.

I mean, honestly, Thawne probably would have found another way to come back regardless.

I… GOD DAMMIT. They whine and bitch about their values for SEASONS ON END and when Barry finally gets the chance to be the better man he just goes “nah let him die” and only Joe wants to helps Thawne which I assume will lead to some unexpected consequences… Man this is the second time the Flash gang got character assassinated for the one consistent character trait they have.

The show is somewhat inconsistent with morals regarding killing people.

There’s also a difference between killing someone out of self-defense and just letting them die after they ask for your help.

Bruh. What was the first time? It's been so long that I forgot lol

Yeah like why could he not just hide in the negative SF?
He totally could have lol

Savitar’s very existence.
Oh yeah. Iris shot pizza-face Barry and I was like "oh yeah, that totally won't cause an issue for their marriage in the future. I mean, a guy with your husband's face tried to kill you, and then you shot him. No trauma or marital issues here!" I love how even Thawne thought his face looked like pizza lol

I- grrr- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
How did you know exactly what I said when Barry was caught on camera after moving at Relativistic speeds?

Not just that. Savitar was originally a time remnant of Barry that got shunned by the team because he wasn’t “their Barry”.

KEK

The actually moral thing to do was to LET HIM DIE. The guy's a frickin ****** who proudly said he became a murderer and made Barry's life a living hell because he wasn't a hero, killed Cisco, threatened countless people, allied with NAZIS to conquer the world and was ultimately worse than them and created a ******* timeline where Barry went insane and killed everybody and Thawne stole everything from him just because he's a petty ******. And Joe wants to SPARE him? **** NO! Killing him was the right thing to do god dammit. Heck, he wasn't even dying because of the team, he was dying because he messed up with the timeline once again and was erased by his own actions, the team didn't do anything!

I feel the writers wanted to create a Batman/Joker-like situation except they forgot the tiny little detail that, unlike Thawne who wants to live and make Barry suffer, the Joker actively wants Batman to kill him so he can destroy all the good work he accomplished and because he knows Batman stritcly refuses to kill.

God I'm tired of heroes sparing villains who SHOULD BE KILLED without an actual good reason just because mOrALiTY, iT's bAD fOr HErOes tO kIlL" when killing the villain is the moral option because the guy's iredeemable and will only continue to attack them and kill people
