Thanos was only a Titan in Infinity War because there were no plans of an Eternals movie back then. But they can reestablish Thanos as an Eternal by simply making him an Eternal-Titan hybrid. Make A'lars or Sui-San an Eternal and the other a Titan.

In the ongoing Eternals run, it was revealed that both A'lars and Sui-San are resurrected using the Machine, a giant device which bring backs dead Eternals, along with other dead Eternals. Sui-San came back first and she was punished by Ikaris for birthing Thanos. She was placed in the Exclusion cell where she said she would never see A'lars face again as it was his ego to prove his brother wrong that ruined her life. A'lars was put in Exclusion too. A screen of infinite resolution was put before him and Ikaris punished him saying that for each life Thanos killed, a pixel will light up. The resulting light was so bright A'lars eyes burnt out of his skull.
