Expect higher for the crater but nice
Mattering how it Will end we will be able to quantify how High into wall strange is(unless we can but it isn't in his profile)
I don't see a crater in the scene but rewatching it found another nice feat. Strange shot Supreme and it caused a big old explosion. Idk if he actually took the full brunt of it but I added it to the blog and got 9-A+

Ok good, now to discuss counters to low ends such as ep2 with thanos getting taken down by the black order and the zombie episode
Well zombie episode we never see happen so it could’ve happened in literally any way (talking about thanos here)

As for the black order, individually they were getting shit on by thanos and it was only when proxima attacked him from behind in his joint that he started to fall

Here's my view on timeline scaling
  • The Infinity Stones cross scaling is fine imo, since they're one of the big timeline split reasons and are treated as the same across any universe barring minor differences
  • I agree with Main TL -> Alt TL scaling, but not for the reverse
So as an example
  • I think using Infinity Ultron to justify a 3-A to Low 2-C Main TL IG's is understandable
  • I'm against stuff like scaling Vision to 6-C or scaling Main TL CM to What If CM's showings like the core smash

To be fair vision never really learned how to use the mind stone to its full power, while ultron(if I remember correctly) was basically made from the mind stone. So he could probably use it better. Not sure about the core feat though

Vision is true, but there's other issue that come up such like
  • Everything with the Zombie episode
  • Captain America casually KO'ing Asgardian soldiers, some with one punch
  • Wong's shielding spell which could get insane results with some of our power scaling
I think until we get a solid example of a main universe interact with an alternate timeline its safer to keep the scaling one sided for now.

•The only thing in the zombie ep that really contradicts stuff is the cull and maw scene

•We’re was it shown they were knocked out? And we’re we ever given feats and scaling for bog standard Asgardians?

•Not really, dark strange only got insane feat post absorption of regular strange plus the spell took some prep to put together

That doesn’t really make a lot of sense, most alt characters we’ve seen haven’t gotten an amps or anything(atleast that we’ve seen and heard of) so they would basically be the same outside of the whole what if/nexus event thing.

Yes

Some of the What Ifs involve changes that happen decades or even millennia before the main series like with Thor. When the showings are that much better we shouldn't use them without better evidence. Its why we dropped it for Comic scaling, because the exact same issue happens.
Ok then good for Steve but even then I don’t remember regular Asgardians being super strong(though they would probably have super strength)

expect said what if has no effect on his strength just on what person he becomes. That’s fine I’m just saying we shouldn’t just be doing alt’s scale to mainline but mainline doesn’t scale to alt(unless and amp is involved). Did you drop scaling for alt timelines as well? Or just alt universes for comics?

Asguardian's are 8-A same as Loki and Sif (though Ik 8-A asguardian's and loki and such are up for debate with some) but still as of now they're still 8-A so it'll be an outlier for cap to knock them out

I will say none of the changes in the way some people's lives have played out have affected Carol's path up until she's introduced in any of these episodes so she should still remain the same as she usually does

Did you drop scaling for alt timelines as well?
If they don't interact with each other like in Invincible or with the Cancerverse we dropped all alt timelines, even if its virtually 1:1 until a certain point

I just think that until we get something stronger scaling wise we should either not scale or keep it one way. Especially when it can get contradictory like with speed or AP.

Honestly we should at least keep CM's feat around especially if they don't come to contradict her main timeline self if we know she hasn't been buffed at all or if we get some kind of WoG statement from Fiege or the Head writer of What IF

I'm not really for this, since this is just fishing for upgrades with Author WoG in my view.

I say we keep it around sure, but we shouldn't actually apply anything until we either get supporting evidence or actual examples of cross scaling

Oh I should specify I mean this for future showings of CM in movies not for current CM since I don't think she has feats calc'd at much higher levels rn unless I'm mistaken but then again any future showings of CM shouldn't be tied down by what she she's showed in the past anyways or that'd be blatant downplay so I think that's fine

Why are the rated as equal to Loki or sif?

That’s kinda weird but ok

That’s fine I’m just saying that it should either be both ways or neither way

Isn’t AoS non cannon now? And what exactly have they done that is comparable to Loki’s bifrost explosion feat and surviving a beat down from hulk?
There still hasn't been a CRT for it soo I'm assuming it'll continue to be seen as an outlier until such🤷‍♀️ I don't believe AoS is canon either due to what we know but as if now it's still on the MCU side if vs wiki

Yeah, its been more or less decanonized now (though only for main TL scaling, since AoS is in a canon alt universe iirc)

They haven't done anything, but I thought the intention was more or less they were the best warriors in Asgard outside of Thor/Odin, so they upscale from Loki
Ok

That would work in theory but Loki is pretty strong(tough)himself even seemly for a regular Asgardian so I can’t really vibe with that

We should get a CRT for that done at some point unless it's to be addressed in the cosmology thread for when we do a big CRT, there's no reason to keep that scaling around when we have better feats to use that are more consistent
