Ignoring how Bowser's feat is still wrong and how it would be Immersion if he had created those places, the way that was all handled was beyond slow. When I use translations I link an image of the og text in Imgur, write the og text below, and then the translations next to it. Simple, fast, and ready to get criticized if anyone feels like it, here I don't even see what would be meant to be used on profiles.

Immersion argument is still wrong. I prefer using a human for translations, which I did. It's still not immersion.

Web translators like Google and Bing are always wrong, especially for Japanese text, even my Sensei agrees to that

Couldn't the screen ripping just be warping outside?
Not a fan of the assumption he just teleported them. There's also everything else I mentioned.

And also, create can mean a lot of things, like creating a kingdom, creating monsters, not directly creating the worlds themselves. And also these worlds have their histories and it's proven in this thread dumb to simply create something to conquer anyway. Disprove the histories and also the fact that there are stars Bowser did not know and we can accept the power star argument
Except you'd have to ignore where they outright state they created enemy worlds. Everything you say absolutely has nothing to back it up and is your own interpretation, people already said the histories are irrelevant. I've already posted the scan of Bowser being unaware of certain stars in my previous large response.

Is the power star argument for their being worlds bowser didn't know about still being used? Most of them aren't alt worlds, they're secret areas in the castle.

I think everyone may need to hold their horses and think about the evidence we have. Jumping to conclusions isn't going to move the thread along after all.

Matt's argument comes from bending the definition of create and takes it as not literal, Eficiente's comes from using immersion as an argument despite translations outright using create as the term of how these worlds exist. You cannot be stated to have creation and say it's just immersion, they are completely separate. There's no reason for us to say we can't use create as literal, occam's razor would have us use the main definition which is "bring (something) into existence" over a synonym like build.

I want to make sure, which translation are we using, one of the translations above is worded in a way that implies he "creates" a world, as in he throws enemies and shit in there to effectively turn the world into a shitshow, kinda like Ganon in the dark world in alttp, he's creating a world of evil by making the place suck dick.

The other translation implies he's simply creating a world and that's literally it, nothing more, nothing less.

Which one is being used here as they may sound the same but have very different results.

This is beyond single-minded, you act as if Immersion was unanimously used by all fiction to go into already existing fictional places when, in fact, anyone using that power can create them first, thereby being able to be said that they created stuff. Immersion users can make their minds be huge places akin to their personalities, and wouldn't you know it that can be said to be them "creating" that, they can create huge dream worlds without those being real, same with comics, things in TV, and in this case paintings. It's even wrong by your own logic as the power of those stars is using the ability of creation, but it's only applicable to its Immersion.

That all being aside from how that unreliable American guide stated those places as not being part of the real world.

I never played any of the Luigi's mansion games. Is King Boo's feat supporting evidence for the current 4-A tiers, or does it stand on it's own? Because based on the shallow info I know of the game and what his page shows, I'm not sure how his creation powers translate into physicals for Luigi to scale to.

It is support for 4-A. Luigi is able to take hits from the jewel's power.

I also agree with Hagane that Brobot's feat isn't valid. The defense provided for it is just the backgrounds being a different color which is just a non-sequitur that relies on making a ton of assumptions. It's Shadow Mario 2.0, "The background is different so he created / destroyed it".

Can somebody please post the relevant japanese scans regarding the 64 creation feat or lack of? (so i dont have to scroll back through the last 200 posts).
I'm gonna go hit up our resident native japanese speaker, hopefully they can shed light on this as well if they aint busy.

Also, even if King Teresa (that's his canon name, now) actually created the realm in another world, I'm still dubious to consider it 4-A based only on some dots in background.
Just like what I said in the starry sky thread, we need some evidences of them being stars and not just assume they are.
That place also isn't space, is another dimension, possibly warped and/or influenced by illusions.
Those white dots might be stars as well as snowflakes, fireflies or anything else, even just lights of that place or things the developer put there to make it look better.
It's a huge stretch to say that those are really dozens or real stars that float millions of kilometres away from the small place where you fight Teresa

That other thread is suspended because the forum isn't yet ready to tackle something that big, but I suppose this one can go on.

I strongly doubt that the starry sky thread will lead anywhere, and neither will this thread if we suddenly pause it.

I agree with Ant. Let's get this over with. So, Boo is absolutely legit. And again, I would appreciate somebody posting a summary of what's decided already.

I've linked the scans and asked Shiroyasha for help, hopefully he (she?) finds the time to help this thread.

exactly, he twisted it, but the dark world, ie, the sacred realm, was an existing place before he corrupted it, he didnt create the entire alternate universe from nothing he just made it evil.
Twisting it and making it suck dick have very diff connotations so I misunderstood your point there, it just sounded like you tried to say he made it a shit place to live via being a corrupt ruler

Okay I was not expecting the Power Stars to be under so much scrutiny

Brobot feat is obviously still bad, but can someone summarize the problems with KB?
