Mega Mewtwo Y faces off against Devil Trigger Dante for another matchup. Both have gotten upgrades and downgrades. Let this be their final showdown (unless the tier 4 thing goes through)

What exactly does Mewtwo have that changes the outcome? The only difference is Dante having a new better time stop technique, more weapons, flight, can survive in space......

The fact that Mewtwo's reality Warping got better and for some reason, people assumed that Dante's mental resistance is on par with Mewtwo's mind hax and that Dante'll time stop right off the bat.

Basically, it's similar to the reason that Dante vs Anakin was redone.

No one assumed he'll time stop right off the bat, just at some point in the fight.

Mewtwo' reality Warping is nothing new to Dante thanks to Mundus, Mewtwo's mind hax, even if resisted for a second will get him locked in a time stop. His Majin form will result in Mewtwo getting spammed with energy blasts.

And as if it wasn't enough, Dante's AP advantage is even higher.

You voted for Dante on that match you know.

Being nothing new does not mean anything if you don't resist it. Also Mewtwo had the really powerful power null iirc.

Just because you experience something doesn't mean you're not at a disadvantage.

Highly doubt Dante has done anything like that, and even if he did, a slight resistance doesn't mean you resist a powerful version of it for a short timespan.

Mewtwo has attack reflection, forcefields, and energy absorption. Energy spam is a bit paltry here.

This one I'm not even sure is legitimate in the first place. Mega Mewtwo Y dwarfs base in power, who is equal to Rayquaza, who is stronger that Groudon and Kyogre combined, who in pretty sure are stronger than the feat Dante is scaled to. And even if Dante is stronger, Mewtwo has Power and Guard Swap to switch their AP and Dura.

I've been wrong about things before. Hence me making a rematch. Because I could be wrong.

Dante can fly? Nice, so can Mewtwo. Mewtwo can null Dante's power with a thought. Not to mention Me First and His mind hax possibly being higher than Dante's resistance.

Also you say power null won't get him far without explaining.

You also are assuming that just because someone agreed to a decision before they cannot change their stance.

Dante sends his doppleganger to be entertained by Mewtwo with quicksilver activated, then they both tag team Mewtwo with judgement cut. Per DMC2, he can also wear the Chrono Heart, which further slows time. Then there's bangle of time.

The best part of the downgrade is that now he has access to his dreadnaught form, DMC4 form, as well as his Sparda trigger and Majin form.

Me First sounds like a game mechanic tbh.

Okay, let's break this down.

1. Dante causally one shots Argosax in Base form without DT who is superior to Sparda who is superior Mundus who is superior Abigail who did the feat as an afterthought.

2. Power Nullification takes time IIRC.

3. If it's "Possibly higher" it's not working immediately, which it needs to against BoT.

4. Also, yeah, he has activated time stop when in Danger, that's literally the first thing he did when he acquired Time Stop.

1) That's AP this is more of a hax fight

2) From what I've heard it is instant and with a thought.

3) What are you talking about?

4) Again, are we sure he even gets the time?

@Unite

It isn't. Not everything Pokemon related is game mechanics. Only the "I move first" part. It is simply precog+ power mimicry.

I believe Mewtwo had Memory Erasure as well.

1. And Mega Mewtwo dwarfs his base form by an unbelievable amount, who is equal to Deoxys, who is equal to Mega Rayquaza, who dwarfs his base form to the same amount, who stomps Groudon and Kyogre combined, who did their feats with their presence.

2. No. No it does not.

3. You lost me. What about possibly higher? If you're talking about timestop, then it is immediate.

4. Ok. Fair enough.

5. Even then, there's still other things Dante has to worry about, as there's invisibility, (again) reality warping, his own illusions, precog without the use of a weapon, putting Dante to sleep, passing off damage done to Mewtwo back on Dante, and darn good petrification

1. Cal was arguing it, so argued against it.

2. Okay.

3. The Mind Manipulation

4. Not sure what you mean here.

Seems like someone made a thread they would come to regret later without noticing it and now that things started going south they're stuck debating their own thing for real... ovo

1. If anything it's equal

2. That's fair

3. No I'm referring to Mind Manipulation, if it doesn't screw him immediately, he'll die to time stop

5. Invisibility is nothing new to Dante, he's fought demons that act that way since 1 and 3. Reality Warping is again, nothing new as Mundus has that, Dante can do the an actual clone with Doppleganger and Petrification may be problematic

Just because, Mundus has it doesn't mean anything Dante does not have a resistance to Reality Warping on his file and thus regardless of what Mundus had, the fact that it isn't on his file means he lacks the resistance and therefore is just as vulnerable to it as anyone else.

1) Just to point this out. That comment bugs me. No profile is perfect yes, doesn't mean he has it. We go by what we see. I know you conceded, but that logic bugs me.

3. I...made a mistake. I meant Mind Manipulation. Mewtwo doesn't even have timestop. Though, Mewtwo is said to use his psychic powers to try to win before his opponent can think.

5. Understandable for invisibility. Mundus, iirc, never reality warped against Dante. Fair enough about Doppleganger.

Dante starts off with DT.

Per DMC2, by wearing the chrono heart, all further actions he does, he does via slowing time.

Then there's doppleganger. Though he's usually limited to 1 style at a time in game, I think we can agree that's game mechanics. DG does every action that Dante does. That said, when Dante activates quicksilver, it's gonna be activated twice for Mewtwo, which will reduce him to a crawl. He can even stop time if he so pleases. As shown in the cutscene when he first obtained the power, he needs no time at all to activate quicksilver.

From a quick Google search, Me First only works on physical attacks. Any other way seems like an NLF tbh. That said, Mewtwo would be time haxed out of his life before he gets a chance to do anything.

Then he gets finished off with two pairs of Yamato and scattered across dimensions.

Also per SBA, he starts off in his strongest form (Sparda trigger), though technically speaking, his strongest form is Majin Form which grants complete invulnerability, though its a form granted via a near-death state, it is his strongest form. Which would grant him the ability to trap Mewtwo in a void, and the ability to revert him/it back to his normal form.

*reads Rice's reply.* ...This... Backfired horribly...

Was remaining neutral here, but can't argue much with that. Dante for Rice's reasons.
Dees

yeah after seeing this i'll go with Dante for rice's reasoning as well

See, that's nice and all, but there's one small detail that was incorrect.

That item activates once Dante starts attacking.

Which, wouldn't matter. All he'd have to do is go get his gun and shoot or anything. Except for one thing: his opponent doesn't need to move. At all. Mewtwo can shut down his mind or his attacks without the moving of a muscle, while it takes time for Dante to do something, and precog (without the use of a sword) gives him the advancing knowledge. You can have all the hax in the world. It doesn't matter if your opponent finishes you off before you can use it.

(Not tryna be rude, because I know it sounds arrogant)
