Khârn the Betrayer Updated

I am the eightfold path.
Powers and Stats
Tier: 4-B

Name:
Khârn the Betrayer

Origin: Warhammer 40,000

Gender: Male

Age: 10,000+ years old

Classification: Chaos Space Marine Aspiring Champion, Khorne Berserker Champion, Captain of the World Eaters Legion's eighth company

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Enhanced Senses, Low-light vision (Can fight in complete darkness), Able to nullify Magic, Psychic Powers, Reality Warping, as well as projectiles thanks to Khorne's blessings, Regenerationn (Low-Mid), Immortality (Type 1), Strong resistance to toxins, disease, heat, and Radiation, Can survive in the vacuum of space, Has several backup organs should his regular ones fail, Basically all the abilities of a normal Space Marine and then some, Attacks from Gorechild ignore conventional and magical defenses, His plasma pistol fires supercharged blasts of plasma which burn hotter than the core of a star

Attack Potency: Solar System level (Is said to have fought against multiple incredibly powerful foes in the Eye of Terror, likely including some Greater Daemons. In the Eye, a Bloodthirster was capable of growing to the size of a solar system by simply willing it, and casually reducing entire planets to space dust with the hilt of its axe. Khârn later fought Saint Celestine in combat, and slayed her current incarnation. He also briefly fought and slightly wounded Abaddon the Despoiler, though the Warmaster was at least somewhat holding back.)

Speed: Subsonic movement speed, FTL Reaction and combat speed (Much faster than most other marines, the most highly trained of which are capable of reacting and processing information in under a nanosecond)

Lifting Strength: Class 50+

Striking Strength:
Solar System Class

Durability:
Solar System level (Parried and matched blows with Saint Celestine. Has probably gone up against powerful daemons on his rampages through the Eye of Terror)

Stamina: Massive (Can fight for massive periods of time on planets so cold even regular Space Marines would be killed in moments, burning said planet to the ground), likely limitless (Has been fighting non-stop for thousands of years)

Range: Standard melee range. Several meters with Gorechild and shock-waves, several hundred meters with plasma pistol

Standard Equipment:

  • Gorechild: An ancient Chainaxe once wielded by Angron, Primarch of the World Eaters. After the broken weapon was discarded by the Primarch, Kh├órn enlisted the help of the greatest members of the Dark Mechanicus to restore the weapon to its former glory. Now a hideous, Warp-based daemon weapon, Gorechild tears through flesh, bone, and metal all the same, sucking the souls of its victims and feeding them to the ever ravenous Blood God.
  • Plasma Pistol: Kh├órn wields an arcane plasma pistol, a weapon capable of firing superheated matter as hot as a solar flare despite its diminutive size. While its range is relatively limited, its form makes it easy to utilize in close combat, as well.
  • Blessing of the Blood God: Kh├órn is the most favoured mortal servant of Khorne, and is accordingly granted protection against witchery by his patron. This favour allows Kh├órn complete immunity to reality warping, mind control, psychic assaults, magic, etc. If it does not fall under honorable martial combat, Khorne will prevent it, forcing Kh├órn's enemies to face him on an equal playing field.
  • Daemonic Power Armor: Kh├órn wears a suit of daemonic power armor adorned with numerous sigils. Not only does this grant him the immense durability normally supplied by power armor, but the daemonic forces possessing his suit allow him to take even more punishment, often shrugging off hits which should have destroyed his body.
Intelligence: 10 millennia of experience in fighting a massive variety of foes throughout the Warhammer 40,000-verse, from the smallest to the largest creatures and war machines. Plus, he has the combat training and knowledge of a space marine captain. Is considered a tactical and combat genius despite his insanity.

Weaknesses: Prone to turning on his allies should they fail to keep up/disappoint him

Dan-temirov-682

They were...disgusting
Powers and Stats
Tier: 4-B, potentially higher via Power Absorption, Reactive Evolution, and Adaptation, Low 2-C via death

Name: SCP-682, "Hard-to-Destroy Reptile", Atanti-ql-Paneu, Dragon, Summer's Exile, Gaoler's Hubris, The Last Dragon, Reptilia Supernus, Levon Tarasque, Exile of the Flesh, The Recalcitrant Prodigal Son, Death's Mother

Origin: SCP Foundatio

Gender: Hermaphrodite

Age: Unknown (As old as the universe)

Classification: Keter Class Anomalous Entity

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Immortality (Types 1 and 3), Regenerationn (Low-Godly), Reactive Evolution, Adaptation, Cannot be effectively harmed the same way twice, Genius Intelligence, Immune to soul manipulation] (Due to lacking a soul), Resistance to crystallization, mind control, absorption, incineration, radiation, fear, possession, matter manipulation on a quantic level, reality warping, plot manipulation, power nullification, conceptual manipulation, magic, BFR, gravity manipulation, physics manipulation up to severe changes in the fundamental forces, and biological manipulation from anything besides itself, Can die and revive at will, Can become two separate entities if split into equal pieces, Can change its biological makeup from organic to inorganic at will, Can create localized space-time anomalies as a defense mechanism (These anomalies are similar to both the sudden appearance and disappearance of a black hole or the theoretical event of a sudden hole forming between our dimension and another), Power Absorption (This is directly proportional to the type of and amount of power used on it), Can enter a "Rage State" where it blindly attacks the closest living target, Dimensional travel, Size Manipulation, Shapeshifting (Its physical form is in a constant state of change and can grow and change very quickly to adapt to various scenarios, Has grown wings, spikes, extra eyes with bulletproof eye caps, large claws, armored plating, and an anteater-like tongue), Non-Corporeal (Described as coming from somewhere where time, space and states of matter operate very differently than they do normally, and that 682 as we know it isn't a corporeal being), Acausality, Mind Manipulation (Can release radio waves making people forget entire concepts, Was able to absorb and weaponize SCP-999's mind-altering effect which have the potential to affect 11-Dimensional beings), Possible Higher-Dimensional Manipulation (Escaped from the higher-dimensional Ravelwoods through its own power)

Attack Potency: Solar System level (Grew to the size of Saturn and destroyed and devoured the nearby planets throughout the solar system, Stated that 682 could possibly absorb SCP-123's power), potentially higher via Power Absorption, Reactive Evolution, and Adaptation, Universe level+ via dying (Stated here that SCP 682 is a universal constant, and when it dies the universe it inhabits will cease to exist)

Speed: SuperHuman (Can outrun Mobile Task Force units, who are all physically peaked soldiers) with Supersonic+ reactions and combat speed (Kept up with SCP-076), potentially higher via Power Absorption, Reactive Evolution, and Adaptation (Was able to adapt to being thrown around at the speed of light, Adapted to become as large as Saturn and was able to easily traverse the solar system)

Lifting Strength: Stellar, potentially higher via Power Absorption, Reactive Evolution, and Adaptation

Striking Strength: Solar System Class, potentially higher via Power Absorption, Reactive Evolution, and Adaptation

Durability: Solar System level, potentially higher via Power Absorption, Reactive Evolution, and Adaptation, Regenerationn and Immortality makes it extremely difficult to kill (SCP-738 stated that it would be impossible to destroy 682 without causing serious damage to/destroying the universe, 682's body is an incorporeal 11-Dimensional being trapped in a 3-Dimensional shell, Can be continuously brought back by the Brothers Death)

Stamina: Limitless

Range: Interplanetary, potentially higher via Power Absorption, Reactive Evolution, and Adaptation, Cross-Dimensional, potentially Higher-Dimensional travel

Standard Equipment: None

Intelligence: Extremely high (Was able to engage in complex communication with SCP-079, a sentient and constantly learning and evolving AI)

Weaknesses: A few SCPs have been able to tame 682, including SCP-999, who literally tickled him into submission (Though this only worked for a very short time and was only due to 999's heritage as an offspring of the Scarlet King and the nature of its powers) and SCP-053, a little girl who temporarily rendered him docile (Though this is also due to 053's heritage as an offspring of the Scarlet King)

A few tier changes, some new rules, a few kerfuffles over what is and isnt fair, aaaaand here we are. Now lets do this the RIGHT way.

Crazy Axe Ma v This F**king Lizard: Dawn of Justice

Now (hopefully) more streamlined and with updated profiles!

Rules:

  • Immortality/resurrection via respective deities is restricted, but all other powers from them are allowed (Khorne will grant all his usual boons/protection to Kharn)
  • 4-B forms (682 has 123's power)
  • Random Encounter
  • In character (so basically bloodlusted)
  • Victory by death
  • Battle takes place on a dead planet...which is dead because these two killed everyone there
  • SPEED EQUALIZED
VOTES

Kharn: 7 (FateAlbane, Gargoyle One, Monarch Laciel, Desiromaster, Hellbeast1, PaChi2, Overlord775)

682: 0

Inconclusive: 0

Oh, sorry, this slipped my mind...i even had a whole thing set up...im sorry...

More like, Azzy vs Weekly: Dawn of Flame Wars

If you two want to wholeheartedly kill each other debate to your heart's content, I could remake the thread myself. Otherwise I'd vote Kharn based on my reasonings from the previous thread that I'd probably have to quote.

Dont worry, i took care of the odds and ends stuff in the rules, and i found a new pic for 682 :P

Anyways, Fate, iirc wasnt a lot of your reasonig that 682 couldnt get through the res via Khorne or an i misremembering?

Wait, if 682 has black hole powers, can Khorne even null that?

I'm just shifting the blame, everyone knows I'm the one who wants to kill people.

Jokes aside and going from Kharn's AP justification, I think he's used by now to fighting even opponents that grow to the size of Solar Systems. In the previous thread I posted this:

"By hitting it with Large Planet Level AP enough times. Size is not too much of a problem in the 40k universe, what with even Kharn's AP description stating how there are monsters there that grow to the size of Solar Systems at will and others that reduce entire planets to dust with their axes.

So while I'm not saying Kharn is SS level (<< epic foreshadowing), pretty sure being big won't be a problem for him when he starts hacking through it with his axe."

That on top of Kharn's 10000+ years of experience at warring against these kinds of beings plus Khorne's nullification of hax for 682 (which the thing shouldn't be that used to fighting without its hax), Kharn should ultimately win in a war of attrition unless I'm forgetting something here.

Unless the whole Universe Bust kills Kharn/he fails to escape to the Eye of Terror like Azzy said when everything goes k-boom. If that's the case, then inconclusive.

Can Kharn actually escape that?

Okay? But 682 isnt planet sized here, it literally has the powers of a black hole. Can Kharn do anything to that?

Plus 682 technically has millions of years worth of combat experience...

I mean, if you're asking if it's in the Chaos Gods' nature to just go "yoink!" when a favored champion is going to bite the dust, then...

"Against all reason, he met the beast's burning, hate-filled gaze. In that second, he knew with total and horrifying certainty that in this, the last of all probable futures, the Despoiler's crusades would begin anew, bloodier and more hate-filled than ever. The air grew incredibly hot for a fraction of a second, and the stench of the void permeated the scene. Abaddon was gone."

It's the same thing still because Kharn is SS for this match.

Anyways, two points:

1. It was stated that he could possibly absorb the powers of 123 but did he actually do it in-verse? Because otherwise it's like giving the powers of Superman to someone who is said to be able to absorb them, but didn't actually do it. Or giving Semi-Perfect Cell his powers as Perfect Cell because he can absorb 18.

2. Assuming he did, Isn't that Black Hole thing nulled either way?

Why would a black hole be nulled?

Would it be preferable to change them to their 5-A forms?

Being a walking black hole doesn't seem to fall under something such as honourable martial combat so I figured that gets nulled. But again, what about point 1? He has the potential to absorb said powers, but did he ever absorb them?

I just realized that there are 4 other Kharn vs 682 threads...

@Sir Ovens Other ones are either dead/necro/not up to date/unfair, so ignore them.

This is the most recent/definitive one.

Hey Azzy, since you're around and freaking me out by replying suddenly on that thread mind telling us if the whole Black Hole thing would get nulled?

I mean, it's similar in effect to being a walking Warp portal. So like, it most likely wouldn't affect Kharn? It's one of those things that isn't nulled from the start, but just doesn't do anything. Like how that Grey Knight Justicar threw some soul-melting Warp lightning at Kharn. The actual conjuring of and use of the attack was not negated, but it just hit Kharn and...well, it was as if nothing had hit him.

Stuff like psychic awareness is most often the sort of thing nullified completely in his presence.

But ya know, this is just going by different examples and all.

/\ Welp, in that case my vote stays with Kharn via this reasoning (just changed to "Hitting it with Solar System AP enough times").

It basically becomes a reprise of the previous match, only with SS stats for the two of them instead of Large Planet.

It won't if he's not present in the universe.

Which he likely won't be due to the fact he can just be sent back to the Eye of Terror, which is a thing that tends to happen when favored mortal champions of Chaos are in trouble.

Hell, he'll probably go there on his own, since there's nothing left to kill on the planet he has no other reason to be there.

Kharn's weakness is people that are stronger
not really, considering that kharn has beaten the terrarian, who had a 7x AP advantage
