The Second VS Wiki Holy Grail War (Season 2)

Last time on the second holy grail war:

8 servants were summoned to New York; Ruler, Lancer, Saber, Archer, Berserker, Caster, Assassin and Rider, and after a few minutes an 8th servant, Jeanne d'Arc who had been irregularly summoned as Saver class. Jeanne declared her intention to destroy the war and save the participants, which was not overly well received, though Caster decided to aid her if she required. Assassin improisoned her master's relatives to use as mana batteries. Sensing a threat to the world through his clairvoyance, the Nameless Ruler sent the Saver of the previous war back into the proper world with new abilities.

Kirioth, the new Ruler, started going around introducing himself to some of the servants and masters, including Lancer and his master, Jeanne, Rider, and Berserker and his master. In the meantime, Caster set up a base, which Jeanne discovered. Saber also discovered the base, but attacked Jeanne as a threat to her master's wish. Jeanne was also attacked by Assassin, but Saber, being an honourable knight, briefly sided with Jeanne to repel Assassin, before re-engaging her. The old saver appeared and stopped their fight, then Caster convinved Saber's master to stop Saber from fighting. As this was happening, Kirioth took on the appearance of Lancer, sped towards Assassin's master, and incapacitated Assassin long enough to kill Assassin's master, then attempted to ally with Assassin. Assassin refused, and after quickly creating an "idol" to her deceased master using her severed limb, freeing her master's relatives and carving dying messages into the walls to incriminate her killer, Assassin faded from mana loss (But was revealed to have been saved by the Nameless Ruler). Kirioth then blew up the entire buidling and much of the surrounding city block, killing hundreds, and annihilating all traces of him being there. However, some convoluted events happened that I won't go into here, and everyone survived in some form or another (poor Liz is nothing but a head), except Kirioth who was killed by a sensory of the Nameless Ruler. As i open my eyes, it's already passed 8 in the morning. Last night, after my confict with Gilgamesh (I'm still thinking that Rider was Gilgamesh because of his appearance), Caster asked me to leave. He must knew something about Jeanne, but he wanted to keep it to himself i believe. He also told me that he would leave this church soon so don't go back there to find him. What a troublesome night. Then, we returned to the White Lily Mansion and took our rest. There were many unused rooms, so Helena gave me one of them as my personal room for the duration of this war. Even though this is a temporary room, it's still pretty comfortable, i can't ask for a better one than this. Each room of this mansion also has its own bathroom, and there's also a large bathroom designed in Rome's style with hot water stream out from the mouth of 2 golden lion statues to a large bath. Her grandpa designed this mansion, so beside from a talented mage, he was also a good architect then. But taking a bath in a large bathroom like that will make me feel uncomfortable, so i'll use mine.

After a morning bath to wash out all the dirt and tiredness from the fight last night, i wear a new set of butler clothes which has been replaced for the one has been dirtied by me. Helena's maids sure is taking care of things carefully. I leave my room and go to the mess hall, Helena was waiting for me there. She's... wearing mage association clothes, again. I can't help but ask her:

"You really love mage's clothes, huh?"

"Just like your love with men's clothes, especially butler's."

Damn straight. But she was right, i'm in no position to point that out. We have some beef steak for our breakfast. After our meal, she gets straight to our today's strategy discussion without a wait.

"I want to visit a place."

"Where?"

"A warehouse called Birdhouse. It belongs to my grandpa's friend and also a survivor from last war, the name is Birdie."

"What business do you have with him?"

"Just want to ask for his advice. And a little visit for my childhood friend, Liz, too. I haven't seen her for 2 years due to my study at the Clocktower."

"Your childhood friend? She must be nice, right?"

"She is a good girl, and a skilled mage, too. She may be a little ambitious and arrogant but she's still my best friend."

"I see... alright, then. I'll accompany with you to her place."

Just like that, we left on our Roll Royce. We go all the way from our place to Midtown East. However, it's been too long, so Helena's memory is a little fuzzy now, she doesn't remember where exactly that warehouse is. Took us a while just to find its location. However, all we can find there are just rubbles of what used to be the Birdhouse, and a huge explosion trace on the ground which seems like the reason for all of this. There is still a territory covered around this area, so no ordinary human can see this, or else riot will spread faster than a disease. Helena is extremely shock with his, but i can't just let her be that way. Because right now, i can sense it, the presence of a Servant inside that ruined warehouse.

I want to check out, but i can't just leave Helena here. So i have to drag her inside with me. But i instantly regret by doing so. Inside there, on rubbles, a flag shines brightly under the sun, carried by a woman who is covered in blood right now. She's standing on a sea of blood, there are corpses, many corpses everywhere i can see. A massacre occured here, it was so horrible, to the point they became pile of meats all around the building. The smell of dead covered the air make this scene become like a living hell. And her, the one who stand above all of this, is a demon. Not to mention, just behind her, there is a crumbled wall there. A frame is there, near the wall, with the remains of a headless girl's corpse inside. And on the wall is a text "My Liz" has been carved on it. Anyone can come to a conclusion already.

Helena bursts to tears and screams out really loud. Then, with anger, hatred, sadness, every negative feelings that you can tell, she points to her and screams:

"SABER! KILL THAT F*CKING WITCH NOW! USE EVERYTHING YOU CAN! SHE MUST PAY FOR HER SIN!"

[Not much going on huh]

After Saber leaves, I have some church faculty load the Ark and some crafting materials into a cargo truck. Red leaves a senior member in charge as we begin relocating. He tells us of an abandoned factory in Hell's Kitchen that would be a good spot. On the way there, I stay in the back and craft 3 more stat boosting bracelets. (1 for Agility, 1 for Mana, 1 for Endurance).

The factory is a fairly old, run down 3 story building surrounded by an empty lot. Should be a fine place. I bring the Ark to the center of the second floor and begin creating the same type of territory I made at the church, while Red and Chloe find a nearby hotel. By the time I'm finished the sun has started to rise.

[Just so everybody knows where Caster's at in the present.]

I got to the Birdhouse after some minutes of traveling. Just like Assassin said, Lancer had destroyed this place already. This really is gonna become a search for survivors. I get inside the destroyed building and start digging the crumbles. Normally, most people will get crushed under those rocks. But, they are all mages so there's still some hope about they're still alive. If i was myself from the past, this job is impossible. But as a Servant, i've been granted with strength from the Grail, i can casually lift even a big rock and throw them somewhere to see if there is anyone under them, one by one.

Whenever i found a corpse or a body part, i carry them to some clean places around and pray for them before i continue my job. Just like that, their blood slowly covered the floor and my clothes (of course i'm using my Servant clothes, can't let my casual one get dirtied). But after some hopeless hours, i finally found a survivor. An old man (Birdie here) survived the crash barely. He has several wounds, many of them was cuts from something sharp, not by the explosion or the crash. But for some reason, his wound regenerated enough to seal his vein, so he didn't die because of bloodloss. (For future reference, he used a medicine created using Sensou no Owari, just like the liquid inside Shirou's capsule. He hide it on his body so Assassin didn't find out. The Regenerationn is enough for him to survive i believe).

He's unconscious right now. I take him to the roof of a high building nearby and heal him with my Pain Breaker. Then, i return to my digging business. After some more time, i found a frame with a headless girl's corpse inside stuck on a crumbled wall. This frame was created well, still in its shape even under those crumbles. I take it out, put it stand and start checking. There are some texts carved on the wall, but i can't read it. (Jeanne doesn't know how to read). Not really have so much business with this. But, suddenly, i sense the presence of another Servant. I take my flag spear out and get to my battle stance. But, the owner of that presence, the one come here is Saber. Ah, that's her, the one with the similar face just like me. I can ask for her help with my search for survivors then.

But, before i can say anything, her Master cries and screams loudly. Then, she points to me and yells:

- SABER! KILL THAT F*CKING WITCH NOW! USE EVERYTHING YOU CAN! SHE MUST PAY FOR HER SIN!

What have i done? But Saber's eyes are extremely serious. Not like last night, she's gonna use her real strength on this fight, i'm in really big trouble.

I woke up after my master kept treating me like a train when I sleep keep saying: I wanna ride you making choo choo noises like a little kid...dammit woman your 18 I promise to go with her with some people hope they come tbh...she needs more friends

As I walked nearby I saw some people arguing but I recognize the butler uniform woman as saber... what is she a cross dresser? and to question my sanity....I stole a truck with a water tank and decided this is stupidly intense and ppl need stupid comic relief....I guess??

"alright f*ck ny sanity arguments at day are stupid" as I drive of and through a window as I heard I presume sabers master yelling: SABER! KILL THAT F*UCKING WITCH NOW! USE EVERYTHING YOU CAN! SHE MUST PAY FOR HER SINS!" so loud I thought I could lose my ears dammit as I crash the truck until the tank bursted and filled the room with water

"whew that was stupid wait...blood?" I looked down "Christ someone must have a weird fetish with this massacre might want to beat the jetk who did it hm?" I looked around and reliazed everyone except me was soaking wet...I forgot what I just did and they are looking at me in shock as I sigh..."ok what is happening...mind explaining?"

[@Rider: You really know how to anti-climax, huh? I was about to unleash my Excalibur on Jeanne, but now i think you're a better target seeing how you want to mess around with people. Forgive you is god's duty. Bring you to god is my duty.]

[Yeah, i know that feel. Anyway, last thing you do is spectating me and Jeanne's fight. We are on the next morning of that fight. So basically, you can do whatever you want to do now i believe?]

[@Monarch, my characters don't trust you when you don't have charisma going, so when ??? explained what you said to Liz, Liz grew suspicious of the fact that you said you killed the killer rather than Lancer. Also, regardless of your actual age they don't know it, so they still think you're some old man hitting on a girl less than a third your age. So about those lizards? Hobbies are therapeutic, so it's a big deal for Liz~]

[@Llama, Liz is alive, but psychologically traumatized to the point where she can't speak or formulate long sentences in her head. Both Assassin and Liz are in PS with Clone-Ruler. Also, when either of the doppelgängers fight you should wait until one of them is actually gonna die before jumping in.]

[@Ramesses maybe do something with Hizack? He still hasn't really made a move since his characters are very reaction centric (a master who has no idea what's going on and a silent protagonist servant).]

[@Arturia and Owari the bits of Liz wouldn't be recognizable as a corpse, a large portion of her body were blown outside of the barrier to where they fell on pedestrians and her legs even continued flying away for a bit. Also, some damage should probably be outside the bounded fields, since Ruler was making a scene there. But it wouldn't need to be anything too big, maybe they'd only know of minor damage to the streets and a few injured passerbyes, and not the leveled city block. Lastly, I wasn't expecting any survivors, so I didn't bother with this originally, but I'm gonna edit Liz and Assassin's message/conversation to both of your characters to say not to mention Liz's survival to anyone in the birdhouse.

[Gonna write Birdie's perspective cause he's still my character, so why not?]

Not having an arm is really annoying. I get that they're trying to relieve tension, but can't these guys think of any different jokes? It's really bad taste when a third of us had one or more limbs severed.

And suddenly I can sense a servant entering the building. Well little Liz, get f*cked. But a few minutes after thinking that things head South for me too. I'm relieved when the jail cells are destroyed, but it doesn't last long. First comes a shockwave, for a moment I'm glad I built the jail in the basement.

But then comes more violent shockwaves, debris are launched all around, piercing through my friends, family, and me. ****! At this point I'm starting to wish the jail had been built under the secret bomb shelter. I have no choice but to get everyone to move there, I hope we make it in time. We don't, shrapnel of our magic items come flying from all around, only about a third of us made it to the shelter in time. Did some servant use these? They shouldn't have this kind of power, so something must have strengthened them to an absurd degree. The next thing to hit us is the fireball, most of those who were lucky and fast enough to survive were burned to death. And finally the bunker collapsed, several floors that had been weakened by everything despite their durability and magic resistance fell towards us in pieces. Those of us left tried to offset as much as we could with magic, but survival chances seem low. Really starting to wish I'd had everyone help in building this shelter rather than just a few of us.

After that I bite into my remaining thumb, my thumb was originally destroyed in an experiment, but I built a new one with a secret medicine compartment. Some of my burns heal and the lighter wounds close. Good, I shouldn't die straight away now. I fall unconscious.

I wake up after being pecked by a bird. "Thank the gods, you're back." I still haven't taught any English, but I managed to get close enough to some birds that they'll help me out. It was having trouble coming back when we were captured, so Liz probably died.

I give the bird some instructions and it flies over out of view. I hear a loud sound and soon enough it's back from an area of the bomb shelter with better healing ointments. I should be able to stop the external bleeding this way, so I begin applying the ointment. After that I've used up all my energy and faint.

The next time I wake up I'm still a bit out of it, but I think there's a girl standing over me me. All of my wounds quickly disappear. Even my arm and old wounds like my thumb are restored. She must be a servant. After checking over her work, the girl leaves, when I look to where she went, it's the birdhouse. Is she looking for more survivors?

I look around the building I'm on, and see a pair of legs with Caster's enhanced flight shoes attached to them. Yep, Liz definitely died. That kid caused us so much trouble… Since their isn't too much blood, her legs probably kept flying from their momentum and the magic she'd poured into the shoes. I look over towards the birdhouse and use a spell to let me see through it's bounded fields. There's a pile of corpses that have been gathered, I'll have to pay my respects to them. There are some people, so I look closer. Little Helena's there… preparing to fight the girl who saved me… with the girl who saved me.

My brows crease and I sigh. Whatever, let's just stop whatever that is. I take the shoes off of Liz's remains and put them on. Then I look back over towards the birdhouse. Someone else is there, and they've flooded the place with water. I fly over, and land behind Helena. She doesn't notice me, and her servant is too preoccupied to notice or care about someone who's neither a master nor servant. I lightly karate chop her on the back of her head. "Hey, been a while little Helena. Could you try not attacking the person who saved me, kid?"As I say that, I point towards the girl. "I don't have a problem if you attack that guy, though I kinda would like him to pay for the property damage… now anything that survived the blast is gonna be ruined." I change to point towards the man who flooded the place.

Helena turns around shocked and her servant dashes towards me and stops with her sword in front of my throat. Scary~

[It's in a bounded field that stops light, sound, and magical energy from escaping outside. No one would know unless they somehow happened to find their way inside the building. Even mages and servants aren't supposed to find this place without either an ability that'd let them (what Dead Ruler did), prior knowledge (how Jeanne and Saber got here), or following someone with one of those. Oh yeah, your character should probably have followed Saber there when she didn't show up to the water park or something, so that you have a justification for how you found the place. This would make dousing them in water all the more poetic~]

[true people were late I guess so I scout out *shrugs* now how will they react (most likely slapping lol jk)]

[Tsk, not again. I want to finish Jeanne before she has her chance to do whatever she wants, but some people really just want to interrupt other's fight. Guess she saved Birdie on purpose, huh? She ain't an idiot at all.]

"oh yo saber was wondering where u were"

"you idiot what are u doing here?" she exclaims with her sword ready

"saw u and wanted to check on whether u still wanted to come or not but seeing as s*it was about to hit I tried to cool ya all off...ok so mind explaining what is going on with u and this chick with the flaf is all about?? lover issues or u two have a potential misunderstanding of a situation..."

With Helena's command, i change to my blue armor and get to battle stance with my Invisible Air. Suddenly, a huge truck with water tank crash to the building and water burst out. I stand before Helena, plug my sword to the ground and use Mana Burst to unleash Invisible Air's power for defense, create a small wind wall in front of me to split water into two (Moses intensifies). I stop the wind wall when the burst stop, but water filled the ground and make everything turn red with blood. I turn to the man who responsible for this incident, he slowly walks out of the truck and says:

"Whew that was stupid wait...blood? Christ someone must have a weird fetish with this massacre might want to beat the jetk who did it hm? ok what is happening...mind explaining?"

"Gilgamesh!"

I dash to him and attack, but he managed to dodge and start running around while saying:

"Crazy girl! I said i'm not your boyfriend or whoever that Gilgamesh is!"

"There's no way for me to forget that mucky face of your!"

As i chase him for a while, i realize there's a strange old man near Helena. Is he an enemy Master? Helena is in danger! I rush to them and swing my blade at the neck of the man. But then, Helena yells out:

"Stop, Saber!"

My blade stops, right near the man's neck. I turn to Helena and ask:

"Who is he?"

"He is Birdie, my grandpa's friend. It seems like Jeanne saved him out of this mess and she's searching for survivors, she's not the murderer."

"Yeah, that's right" the man called Birdie said, then he point to Gilgamesh and says "But you can continue your job with that gold man over there"

"With pleasure!"

I charge to him again, i have to take him down before he has his chance to do whatever he want to this war and things won't end good.

[Huh? The fight hasn't over yet? And why there are such a crowd there? I thought we were alone...]

"Gilgamesh!!" she charges but I managed to dodge

"Crazy girl! I said i'm not your boyfriend or whoever that Gilgamesh is!"

"There's no way for me to forget that face!"

But she seemed to turn to an old man who was there and almost killed him but her master stopped saber and said:

"He is Birdie, my grandpa's friend. It seems like Jeanne saved him out of this mess and she's searching for survivors, she's not the murderer."

"Yeah, that's right" the man called Birdie said, then he point at me and says "But you can continue your job with that gold man over there"

"With pleasure!" she said

"oh come on I'm just here to stop stupid crap and this happened..." I sighed and I just looked around while I jus dodge sabers attacks

"you can't keep running forever coward"

"sometimes being one is beneficial" I threw three knives at saber who dodged but that wasn't aimed at her...it was aimed at her master which I pointed out to saber with a finger point

"MASTER!" as she shouted and looked back I managed to pin her down kicking what ever was in her hands while I noticed the other girl was going to stop the knives I pulled the wire I had in the knives and they completely missed sabers master

"you never planned to hit her master did you..." the girl with the flag noticed my intentions

"yep never was going to hit the master in the first place...I just needed this saber to stop"

"release me!" saber keeps squirming and I'm just irritated cause I'm mixed up for her ex...if we have the same face I want to cut his face off

[Wait, what? What did i miss? What can disintegrate everything like that? Not just an explosion?]

[It was a massive burst of really really really powerful magic flames that burnt everything in its AoE to ash. So technically there would actually be ash in the crater]

[Alright, I'll edit my bits so that Birdie moved as many people as possible to his bomb shelter, yet they still all died but him. Blood and corpses can be from the bodies Jeanne moved from the shelter. Liz's body pieces should make it regardless since the place ??? stored her arms was Blahster's old workshop (the reason she could store arms there without risk of them rotting was because Blahster set up his workshop to store and maintain his dumplings when he was at home, I never explained it properly since Liz and ??? had no reason to know this) so there would be good magic resistance involved there. Would that be alright?]

[Also, since I slept after my last post, I'd like to add a quick response to right after Rider explains how his master needs friends. This is of course Birdie.]

I stand up from my brief send off, I'll properly cremate those that weren't already incinerated later.

I turn towards the servant and say in a knowing tone "See, now would that really have been so hard to explain from the beginning?" He seemed a bit flustered there. In the last war there was only one servant I saw who ever showed how flustered they were, but it seems like there's a few this time… I then add on, "It's a shame Liz isn't still around, she was pretty socially awkward too…" then continuing on in a mumble, "though that was probably closer to an ASPD, huh? I guess she might just try to kill his master rather than bonding over social awkwardness. Actually, since she was going for her fuel efficiency plan, maybe she'd try to kill him and imprison his master instead…"

Helena offered to cremate the corpses, though her boasting is a bit much. The chance of her burning through the remains of the bomb shelter and the barrier created by Caster's item are next to none. But that's besides the point, I might as well take her up on the offer.

"Welp, sounds good to me. I'd be happy to have assistance with the cremation, though I have no intention to let you do all the work. I planned to go through them one by one so I could keep their ashes separated, so having you here will speed things up. Still, are you certain you're fine working with all these corpses? Do keep in mind, that one's included." I point towards what I assume to be the remains of the corpse of Liz.

Looking at that again makes me remember, "ah, right, there was a pair of legs that wound up outside of this place, I'll go get them. If you're really fine with it, we'll get to work afterwards." I fly back towards the roof with Liz's legs on them, I'll try not to show animosity towards Liz. It could be bad if she learned what Liz had been doing.

[If it's extended to him, Birdie will decline the offer to go to White Lily Mansion, he has stuff to finish up here, but he'd also ask if he could drop by later. I couldn't think of a good way to work it in.]

Birdie points to the frame with a corpse inside in the middle of those rumbles where Jeanne used to stand. Then, he uses his flying shoes and flies to somewhere. Helena doesn't get what he wants, she comes closer to check on that frame. But the moment she saw the text on the wall, she collapses on the ground, cries while covering her mouth to avoid vomitting. I rush next to her to see what happen, and then i see that "My Liz" i instantly get it. This corpse, whatever remains in this frame, belong to her childhood friend. I change back to my butler clothes, take a handkerchief from my pocket and give it to Helena, then gently pat her back while repeating "it's alright, i'm here" to calm her down. Then, i see Birdie return with a pair of legs on his hands. I ask:

"What are these?"

He takes a look at Helena, and then shakes his head. I understand what he want to say and stop it there. I take Helena outside to give her sometime to calm down. In the mean while, me, Jeanne and Birdie dig out for every last body part and spend some time to examine which part belong to whom. Rider leaves to take his Master there. After roughly half an hour, we finally finish with 12 corpses [if there are more or less, please tell me and i'll fix this]. Most of them are imperfect and there are others who got burnt to ashes because of the explosion, so this is the best we can do. Helena has calmed down and returned to us. She chants some spell, and then throws 5 rubies at the corpses. When they land, a huge flame burst out and burn this place. With this, Rider finally returns with his Master.

Birdie asks us to go ahead to the White Lily Mansion. He'll take care of the rest and go to our place later. Jeanne kneel there and pray for them for a while, then she also get in our car with us. Rider and his Master use their car. Then, we ride to our mansion, leave Birdie behind with whatever he want to do...

As i left to take my master who was around the area I explained the situation to her to have lunch with others though she seems a bit more timid than usual i guess
