Grappler Baki Discussion Thread #2

Who wouldn't.

Anyways, It should probably be enunciated just how much everyone notable in Baki Dou scales above the Garouden feats, since guys near the very top of the chain there are literally a step or two above rock bottom in Baki.
 
Right, iirc, most of the higher-end characters in Garouden are roughly Maximum Tournament to Death Row Inmate level, possibly Raitai level with one or 2 characters
 
Jumei Kuga, someone who was pretty far above one of the top 5 people in Garouden, at least initially, was stated to be fairly strong by Underground Arena standards at the time of Baki Dou and also fought a weaker Yanagi, so yeah.
 
Shozen would probably roflstomp most Maximum Tournament participants, with Baki being a far more even fight. He's definitely above Convict-level imo.

Since awhile has passed and both powers have received a fair amount of support along with direct proof, I think it is safe to add Perfect Nature Power for Baki and Empowerment for Gaia. If anyone disagrees, please let me know so that we can discuss. Additions will be going through tonight
 
I'm kind of shocked by this, but why doesn't Doppo Orochi have Info Analysis?

  • After seeing his scars, toughness, and his ability to bait Suedo, Doppo is able to tell that Baki is an underground fighter.
  • After getting yeeted by Yujiro, Doppo is able to completely analyze all of his sustained injuries.
Also Yuri Chakovsky should have both Information Analysis and limited Perception Manipulation via this

Due to his extensive career as a boxer, Yuri developed an ability of sorts known as Dynamic Vision, which allows him to see things in slow-motion and pick out small details.

As well as Gaia

Just by looking at Baki's scars and muscles, Gaia can tell that Baki has been working out insanely hard for 10 years.

and Katsumi

Was able to analyze the fight between Motobe and Kinryuuzan and instantly tell that Motobe's Finger-Grab on the yokozuna's pinky was a misstep.
 
I don't know, but let's calm down with the revisions for now. You keep turning the general discussion thread into a mini CRT and we haven't really been getting any other input on the new abilities.
 
I would like to point out that I got support from 3 different users about Gaia's Empowerment and Baki's amp, wait 24 hours, and only added because nobody had even the slightest opposition to what was being proposed, but I get what you're say. I'll wait until I finish re-reading and then make an actual CRT.

Right, but it is my understanding that if there is 1) Sufficient proof (like the scans I've posted) 2) No objections and 3) A fair amount of support, no staff intervention is necessary. There was a Metal Gear revision just recently that got a few things passed without so much as a single staff member commenting due to these reasons
 
Yeah, but we have a member of staff as a supporter and another verse wiseman besides me that have yet to give input on these.
 
Right, I definitely intend to ask them their input on everything added, I've even been keeping track of all additions to get their thoughts on them and remove them if necessary, however I haven't heard from either of them for awhile, so I moved forward with the additions and am ready to make adjustments accordingly when they hop back on
 
Yujiro and Kaku is definitely hype, but something that just blew me away was the fact that, if the opening is anything to go by, they'll be finishing NGB, which means next is... SoO
 
How do you guys feel about AMVs? Some of them are super cringy, but my favorite music artist of all time is Eminem, and there are 2 pretty dope AMVs up rn with Godzilla and the Season 4 2020 trailer. I can link them if y'all haven't seen them already

Hey guys, got a question about the CRT thing: would you guys rather 1 big CRT addressing all additions throughout the entire series, or would you guys rather 4 different CRTs: Grappler Baki, New Grappler Baki, Son of Ogre, and the Baki-Dous?

Creating a big one would likely make a hughe clauster fudge and make it harder to focus on any given discussion, but than again how big is big?
 
This blog is all of Grappler Baki's skill feats. I've already added 2 things from this list, but about a third of this list has things that aren't on profiles. So all together, it would be anywhere between 10 to 70 things give or take (if the current tread is anything to go on), where as separately, single digit additions isn't too crazy, as the later chapters have been pretty extensively poured over
