Hello.
First and foremost, this is a "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst" kind of information drill. The Coronavirus disease is very mild in the vast majority of cases, with a large part of infected having no symptoms at all, and the spread might recede on its own, but if it does not, there is a risk that parts of society in areas of the world start to temporarily shut down, with emptied food stores, which can cause greater troubles than the infection itself.
You should under no circumstances start to panic, as that would just make everything much worse, but calmly and systematically preparing for a worst case scenario is another issue entirely.
Here are some supplies that you should probably get in order to prepare, preferably enough to last you and your family for at least a month or so:
If you can afford it, it is also good to order emergency food for a month times the number of people in your household. It can last up to 25 years after all. But if not, the food that I mentioned above should be able to last for several months, or a few years, at least.
Again, there is a difference between taking early common sense precautions before the stores are emptied due to mass panic, and panicking yourselves.
Also, almost nothing might happen, and I really hope that it will, but I also prefer if the members of this community make it out in one piece.
To avoid posts that cause panic after the initial one, I will now close the thread. Please take care of yourselves and your families as best as you can.
Here is a useful map to keep informed regarding how the virus is spreading to different areas:
