Superman vs Frieza (GRACE)

Well

  • Superman's feat: 4.6321255e+39 joules
  • Frieza's feat: 7.3069286e+39 joules
Both were seemingly not their max effort, but Frieza's feat is 1.577x better. Still Superman has better regen, has better stamina, better lifting strength (so TK shouldn't be an issue). So it comes down to if Frieza can overcome Superman's stamina before he gets wore out, which I don't personally believe he can. Although since he's theoretically more skilled it is a possibility.

@Qawsedf234

So are you voting now or will you wait to decide?

I'm favoring Superman, especially since he has elemental stuff like heat vision that Frieza doesn't seem to be able to resist, but I'm not sold on him yet.

I'm going with Frieza here, he holds the ap advantage and skill advantage and is naturally more lethal so him just blowing up the planet with superman is something he'd do in character

Well, while I do see him blowing up the planet, what will it do? Superman can fly and breathe in space and if anything make him shift gears to try and put Frieza down harder.

The gap is only 1.5x. Him being harmed sure, but it'll also put him in free unrestricted range of the Sun, which Frieza can't really destroy and will be constantly healing and amping Clark.

Can't Frieza Transform into his 2nd Form? It's not that much stronger than his 1st Form, it's only like 2 or 3x stronger.

I'm just assuming the transformations are restricted

I also don't see anything about smallville supes being amped by the sun on his profile that i can find

Yeah, this match is limiting Frieza to his first form. If he could transform it'd be a stomp.

It'd be a stomp because Frieza would be able to transform into his final form, which would give him enough of an AP advantage to easily one shot Superman.

Idk why you're just talking about his second form, but even a 2x or 3x advantage is a big one, especially when he's already 1.5x stronger.

Frieza already holds a 1.5x ap advantage stack that with a 2x or higher since third form isn't a different tier and Superman explodes

Yes, Frieza is restricted to Form 1. Why would I say First Form if we allowed transformations?

@CBslayeR

Yes, the Sun thing does apply to Smallville Superman as well, even though his profile does not bring it up

From memory

  • He heals from fatal wounds when depowered when MMH flies him to the Sun
  • He rapidly heals from his Bleed infected wounds in Smallville: Alien
  • Against Bizzaro he heals from his wounds and gets an amp when he stands in direct sunlight
There's probably more, but those are the first that come to my mind.

Heat Vision isn't hax or something. Just because it's elemental doesn't suddenly make it ignore durability just because it's... hot. Even though Ki Blasts are also very hot and can vape if it's sufficiently stronger than you.

If Superman does Heat Vision, Freeza can simply fire back and it'd be a beam struggle Superman is not winning.

Freeza is only allowed to transform into any form that doesn't change his tier. As long as his rating remains the same, transforming is totally legal.

Frieza's Death Beams can be fired several, if not dozens, of times in rapid succession. So Frieza should be capable of beam-spamming Superman to death with a barrage. Even if Superman can regenerate every laser, he should still be weakened enough for Frieza to finish him with a Death Cannon (his energy wave technique).

If Frieza can transform, he can go up to 3rd Form which is much stronger than his 2nd form...which is already 2x First Form, and he will also regenerate any battle damage to a certain degree by transforming.

Debating Heat Vision and Frost Breath effectiveness kind of depends on how hot/cold they are. Frieza could endure Namek's explosion when nearly dead and survive the cold reaches of space. So I assume his Heat Vision needs to be hotter than lava, and his Frost Breath should be colder than space. If they aren't, they are just glorified attacks which Frieza can tank.

It's also worth noting that Frieza can survive just about anything, short of vaporisation. Superman is going to need to blow Frieza to pieces, at least, to kill him.

I'm not really seeing any notable abilities that Superman has, just a ton of really nice resistances that aren't relevant to Frieza's own abilities.

Overall, I'm voting Frieza, unless something works in Superman's favor.

Also, it has to be remembered that not only is Frieza an especially durable DB character, but in DB your AP scales all of your other stats. This means Frieza's durability matches his AP, meaning Superman's attacks are 1.5x less effective on a already high-endurance character.

The only thing going for Superman right now, is Regenerationn, which Frieza can negate via vaporisation with Death Cannon.

I have never known that as a thing. But if Freeza can transform then its an AP stomp, if not a speed stomp since his forms would progressively get faster if the speed equalizstion isn't omnipresent.

You make a valid point, but I still cannot add it since even if some of his later forms are Dwarf Star, I am restricting this to just form 1

I said 'If Frieza can transform', not including that into the body of my argument just something I am pointing out.

If he could transform, it's an outright stomp but the rest of my post is detailing why Frieza would win regardless of transformation.

Ah. I apologize. Alright, that's two votes for Frieza.

@CBslayER

I did not consider it to be valid, since you mostly brought up how Frieza would just blow up Earth, which in the end just gives Clark the advantage via sunlight

Fair enough, I didn't know if Superman had sun amps and I didn't explain my reasoning well. The reasons above explained it much better than I could so Frieza FRA

Oh, I was waiting for someone else to give an argument for Frieza, I already was leaning towards him, Frieza for what Cryo said.
