so cool cat should take this to his vast ammount of skill light has skills in sports and he did fight L but cool cat has more formal experiance like karate and wrestling while light knows a little about fighting other than how to throw a punch
 
Light's great intelligence + skills should be enough to take this while putting the good usage of his Death Note in order. Besides, he has better stamina

If it works on hybrids, Light can probably kill Cool Cat considering that he literally has his name on his shirt
 
Cool Cat might be faster, though. One of his friends (who he should be comparable to) reacted to and dodged a car right when it was about to hit him. It was clear that the reason he didn't react earlier was because he didn't notice, rather than his lack of reaction speed.
 
i think it would be safe to say that the death note wouldn't work on cool cat because he isn't entirely human either way
