A little change in One Piece profiles (CRT)

Today I made a suggestio on Calaca's Wall, and he (just like me) would like to hear from other staff members about the change in Luffy's profile or in profiles of characters who use Haki constantly and significantly in battle.

The change would be to add Haki's abilities to the characters' profiles to prevent more casual people who don't have a certain knowledge of the series (or who are too lazy to open the linked page) from seeing the profile and not noticing certain powers that are essential to the characters in combat.

As I said on Calaca's mural, I have seen many people who see the profiles and do not realize that Luffy or others characters have powers like precog for example. And that would be extremely important in the future as currently CoA (Busoshoku) is being explored a lot in the series. And this implies that Luffy will later also receive powers like Dura negation and forcefield creation, and that cannot go unnoticed to people.

I personally find it unecessary and pointless, are we really going all of this just because someone its so lazy or cretin that it isn't even capable to click a linked page?!

I mean, if i don't know what must mean to be a Proficient Haki user, i would click the relative page so to know more, not just ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist, if i do that then i would be a moron.

And what about in cases where a character had the same ability via both Haki and Devil Fruit? I don't think all of this its worthy and i think using Verse Specific Powers's pages it simply convenient.

And tell me, do you think we should do the same with other verses like Steven Universe with Gem Physiology or Blazblue with Phenomena Intervention?

Steven Universe, for example, does list every ability that Gem Physiology grants in every gem profile, actually.

@Stefano

You're not wrong, I prefer and I think it's better the way it is now but that's because I understand more about the verse than ordinary people. It is undeniable that as the profiles are now the information is less accurate about powers that are extremely crucial for such characters. Just imagine someone going on Katakuri's profile and leaves not knowing that he has precoginition... it happens and is very frustrating, don't you agree? After all, no one is really obliged to open a linked page, especially about a power they don't know about.

About repeated powers it is a problem indeed but it can be solved with a tabber to better specify.

I definitely do not understand anything about SU and BB.

1) Considering that Katakuri's most notable ability is future sight, that would be the equivalent of someone going on Goku's profile and leaves not knowing that he has Energy Projection, despire the fact that his most notable attack its an energy beam.

At that point, the problem is not the profile, its that someone's ignorance about the subject (that assuming that someone had never heard about Katakuri or One Piece, but considering most people over the internet watch Manga/Anime series, i doubt such cases are that common).

2) In Katakuri's Notable Attacks/Techniques it explain what abilities Haki give to him and it even stated that "He is capable of actively seeing several seconds into the future with minimal effort", so that someone only need to scroll the wheel to know that information, it doesn't even need to change page for crying out loud.

There is already enough on the profiles:

1) Link to the Haki Page which further explains the ability

2) Notable Attack/Abilities section adding some emphasis on that specific character's potency with the ability.

While Busoshoku is more vague in terms of magnitude, there's no clear way to scale this since any boost is unclear, or involves two haki users clashing. This is why it would also be redundant to put something like "higher" under AP and Durability for each character since the ability is already listed as "Statistics Amp" and the potency greatly varies and doesn't always show a clear sign of increased attack power (Looking at Sanji for this latter point, tbh).

We're not talking about adding higher to any profile with Haki's boosts. It's adding Statistics amplification to the P&A section alongside the other displayed abilities for each user instead.

I feel like this should have always been implemented, redundant or not. It shows the characters' abilities most accurately.
I agree with FML. It doesn't seem like Calaca minds making edits so why not just add each ability to each profile. It would probabbly be faster than debating whether or not to do it.

Cons: Clutter, time to edit

Pros: Most accurate depiction of abilities

So as I said, I don't think its a trouble time wise and I rather accuracy trumped someone's personal view of asthetics on a profile.

I used to be against Fix on this one, but now I agree with him on this one. Adding the specific abilities for the profiles seems to be the best approach.

Haki has lots of abilities that ain't universal for every user. Usopp for example can't see the future and Zoro can't use Gouken. So adding the specific abilities seems to be the best way to know what can they do.

If the list is too large I'd just add a different tabber for Haki abilities.
