Rose is walking on a beach in Britannia and sees Meliodas. He's running a game where whoever can beat him in a fight can win the pot. Pearl notes how such a game is barbaric and Rose immediately decides to challenge him because she thinks it would be fun.

Can anything in Mel's arsenal get past Rose's high 6-A shield and bubble? If not those hax and versatility wont help at all.
 
It's not there? Huh. It was a manga only panel, the anime cut it out.

Anyways, Meliodas used illusion magic to make the hilt of his sword look like a huge dragon to scare Oslo.
 
If all it does is scare then then yeah Rose would just turtle shell inside a bubble on instinct to protect herself

No it doesnt. Ut wouldnt protect her from being scared but being scared wont kill her

How so? Being scared doesnt hurt her nor does it prevent her from fighting back
 
Nor can she tell when she's out the illusion, and the constant fear won't allow her to do anything.

So, moment she lets that bubble down to fight back, Mel with his further versatility, hax, and likely combat experience, takes the win.
 
The fear from Meliodas's illusions was enough to make Oslo (who had literally dealt with a fear aura one panel earlier and grew in size in response to this, ready to fight) run away without question.
 
Except not everyone has the same fear response, not everyone qould run away as a response to fear. Rose wouldnt run she would just turtle shell inside her bubble if she felt she was in danger
 
Illusion still being up+Bubble being transparent+No resistance=Incap. She'll be scared in the bubble, and her letting it down will make her susceptible to a physical beatdown until she's incapped.
 
Do you have scans of this happening? Because it not being on his profile already makes the use of it as an argument dubious at best. And is it true fear manip or just something really scary?
 
It's killing intent. It struck so much fear into Slader that his overpower (an attack that paralyses foes) was unable to function.

I'll get the scans.

Edit: Here's the scans. But I'm not arguing its a viable means for any sort of victory.
 
Rose is equal to Hessonite who can oneshot Sugilite who is stronger than Opals who is superior to a weapon that is 16 gigatons
 
Iirc He used it once against Oslo. Just becauae he doesn't kill doesn't mean he doesn't want to fight. He's bodied multiple people without killing them and without using it.
 
That's true, but it's very possible that he might use Killing Intent. He used killing intent to scare away Oslo because he didn't want to kill him, which is one of the thread's parameters ("Both aren't in the mood to kill" "Victory is by knockout").

Like Weekly and I said, thought, it won't do much good.

@Weekly Meliodas' exact strength is unknown, but his Demon Mark is generally accepted to be more than twice his base strength via feats. So he'd be between baseline and 35 gigatons.
 
I agree with Milly. Inconclusive.

@Emperor They don't say that Meliodas knows who he is. They only reveal that King met Oslo in the Fairy Realm years before he met the Sins.
