Why not. King suggested the match and I don't think he'd suggest a stomp in either direction. For all intents and purposes, Nudin is 7-A, Galbatorix is 6-C (To be clear, Nudin would be considered 6x baseline via absorbing the energies of five others equal to himself).

The battle takes place in Porista (Nudin's city, home field advantage intentional to make up for AP gap). Speed is equalized, Nudin starts in his palace, Galbatorix starts at the city gates. The city is abandoned (no other life forms). For all intents and purposes Nudin is considered to be an equal (and not lower) life form to bypass what seems to be passive absorption.

Who wins and why?

Galbatorix: 1 (Schnee)

Nudi:

Inconclusive:

Sans:

You could have just placed Gal at High 7-A and I wouldn't have minded, but, whatever.

Can I get a decent rundown on what Nudin can do?

That's via suicide though

Depends on his enemy. He has a very vague but specific means of incapping enemies. For example.

Turgur, a magus well known for being beautiful, he implanted with old age and put diseases in to eat him from the inside out, making him ugly.

Lot-Ionan, the oldest of the magus of the group, he turned to stone to basically poke fun at the age. He turned Sabora to ice because he wanted the two statues to be together when they died (they were good friends and Nudin didn't really hate them).

If it comes to melee combat, Nudin deconstructs the terrain and uses it as danmaku to fling around enemies, or corrodes everybody that comes within a few meters of him.

If he's just generally annoyed, he'll teleport the character far away.

Just general combat, he'll spam magic null and just basic attacks.

(I completely forgot about this for a while...)

Yes, but Inheritance magic works on the principle that any energy you can put towards one spell can be put towards any other, in addition to which A) that suicide spell was done when Gal didn't have the hundreds-to-thousands of Eldunari he normally has as backup energy sources, and B) Eragon with significantly fewer Eldunari had enough power to perfectly shield himself, a dragon and several other characters from the blast.

How good is his magic null?

Nudin scales to casual armies/kingdoms getting mindhaxed (good example is Andokai making the Dwarves accept Djerun just walking through their kingdom for no apparent reason).

And... I more meant like I don't want him killing himself. I can make him that AP then I guess.

Nudin's magic nulled literally every magic user in Girdlegard save for Andokai since she was tied to Samusin and was strong enough to resist (in conjunction) via destroying the magic source, corrupting it. He can also counterspell which is active magic null (as in, he has to manually do it). For reference, there are almost two-hundred lesser casters in Girdlegard, whatever latent casters are about, and the main magi.

Tens of thousands. Porista has a stated population of 40,000, Dwarven Kingdom is > that,

Nudin's main openers against a magic user would probably be spammed counterspelling and telekinetically shoving a malachite shard into a target (absorbs their energy, gives it to Nudin).

Galbatorix is in the millions.

Any reason he doesn't mindhax? Unless his powernull is passive, IDK Jack about him

Nudin? Extremely OoC for combat to mindhax (that's more Andokai's thing, when she wants to avoid a fight). Nudin against a magical enemy tries pretty much consistently to drain their power for himself. If he goes for actual combat, it's because he has a reason not to- weakening an enemy first or what have you.

Sorry, I meant anything that stops him from getting mindhaxed at the start

Oh. Distracting, if that's a viable method? Nudin sorta specializes in shifting attention from what people should be focusing on, it's how he absorbed everyone's energy to begin with. That's pretty flimsy tbh but honestly I didn't know the guy had mindhax of millions of people.

I...had forgotten until now, to be honest.

I haven't debated this character in a long time. Sue me.

Well, I think I can confidently vote Galbatorix via mindfucking him and calling it a day.
