Continuation from this thread, we need to remake our 5-A calc for the low-tiers and make another one very similar. Which I could do, but I need to know the size of this planet.

Here's a compilation of all the context of the last point. For the first one the context is the fact that Popstar is constantly shown to be bigger than regular planets. Not as big as a small star would be next to them but bigger nonetheless.

As such, there is also this; "PopStar is a small, peaceful planet at the edge of a vast universe." It makes no sense for a bigger-than-average planet to be small, which makes me think this may be a mistranslation for star.

So, I think 2 values should be considered when using the size of Popstar, one for it being "slightly" bigger than Earth, and other for it being a small star.

@Cal The Kirby wiki claims that Floralia is a continent, is this legit?

Well, it is big enough to have a moon in its atmosphere. Though if it is 1.2 million kilometers wide, all those feats related to popstar are now way awesomer

@Kirby This is the thing that confirmed that in the first place, the other would be Halcandra being at the edge of Another Dimension, which is a universe with certain similarities to Kirby's.

@Eseseso Well I think the "moon in its atmosphere" part is false, it's just the normal moon Popstar has, no?

I initially did too, but knowing what's going on with the cosmotology through paying attention and knowing others made mistakes in it it's kinda cool.

XD, we are feeling "freezer's brother", because we know what is going on.

BT seriously, every dimension/universe that isnt Kirby is named "another dimension", Also im wondering what is that "dimension beyond space and time" that was mentioned, have we forgetted It? And the paradise?

Don't bring the "beyond space and time" thing, it is meaningless, already rejected and has nothing to do with this thread.

Dude i just wanted to bring some thing to Talk about, im not trying anything weird i swear.

And what about the paradise? My derailing ends here.

  • sigh* why can't there be any threads about kirby being a 3-C or higher, or Kirby having a speed in the quintillions c?

Very simple, we dont have any feats, we cant do a thread where we suggest an upgrade because yes for no reason and with no proof, "oh dude ploz, upgrade Kirby to 3-C" "but why? The feats? Anything" "no dude just upgrade ploz"

^That NO!

Sometimes I give evidence of that on Cal's wall.

Sometimes I give evidence of that on Cal's wall.

What feats of either are there? Can you post them on my wall?

Small-star level. I want a large-staar, but the evidence points towards the former. Still buffs Kirby's minor feats.

208 % 131 = 1.58

1.58 * 6.371 = 10066.18 km

If no one evaluates this I just going to use this low-ball and ignore the other value.

Hm?

>Checks

Damn it google I said size.

Ok.. 6371 * 2 = 12742

12742 * 1.58 = 20132.36 km

I don't really think we should use the size of real world stars for Popstar, since it is very clearly not the same as a real star, no matter how many times the lore calls it a "star".

It can crack. It has water, grass, and animals on it. There's snow.

On top of that, it's in the shape of a cartoon star, instead of just being an actual star.

How about it being more bright than other (real) stars? Considering that it is luminous yellow from the outside, where does that place it compared to planets?

It can also heal itself from being cracked (seriously).

Yes, it's very clearly a fantastical planet that functions neither like real planets or stars, but aside from giving off its own light, it's far closer to a real world planet.

Guys. What is most likely happening here is that in the original Japanese, Popstar is referred to as a "Hoshi", aka a Celestial Body, a term which in Japanese can mean both Star and Planet.

It simply got translated as a star even though it's clearly not.

^ Yeah, this is very probable.

Now time to complain about kirby's bad translations and that Kirby star allies thing.

Not the case actually. The definition Popstar gets is being a "small star", it would make no sense for a "small planet" to be always shown to be bigger to than other normal planets, there is even more examples of this than the ones I showed in the OP. They meant star, that's a fact, it's just that, like Azzy said, we should ignore take into consideration the size of real stars to measure this planet.

I already accepted Azzy's proposal, btw, unless Cal may come with a second opinion this thread only aims for a downgrade.

Downgrade? In which way? Was Pop so Big before? i mean, pls compare the before with the Pop you imagine now.
