Should we turn the official information blogs into regular wiki pages?

Given that several of the information blogs serve as official explanations for the various fictions in this wiki, should we move their contents to regular wiki pages? It would make them easier to potentially correct for other members at a later date.

We might have to merge Matthew's 3 Elder Scrolls blogs to a single page though, but it depends on what the rest of you think.

I'm neutral but will hear other staff members' thoughts.

Well, I was just thinking about the ones linked in the wiki navigation bar.

Well, the omnipotence blog contents have already been exported to our official Omnipotence page.

What about the other blogs linked in the navigation bar?

Well, the current Umineko blog will soon be replaced with a new one written by Promestein with information provided by DarkLK.

Some of the blogs linked should be updated before they can be actual pages.

For example, Azzy's blog about Undertale still talks about 2-A Asriel, which isn't a thing anymore, same with Cal's Kirby blog talking about 3-B to 3-A Magolor, and I think that there is a more recent blog from Executor talking about the Royal Knights, with more informations than Rep's blog

Okay. Perhaps somebody could contact the authors and ask them to comment here regarding updating the pages then?

This will also apply to any Blog made after this change takes place, right? (I am planning to make a Marvel Cosmology Blog sooner or later)

Is making pages for these blogs really necessary? Can't we just provide links to these blogs in character or verse pages, wherever these blogs are required?

I disagree. No need to turn them into Wiki Pages as that would make them look extremely clunky and makes blogs pointless to begin with. And also removes the discussion element from the blogs that make them worthwhile to begin with.

I don't want my Elder Scrolls Blogs to be turn into a single ugly, clunky page.

While i think that it could work either way, i feel that it's worth pointing out that "Pages are easier to update" isn't really true for something like an explanation blog.

If i have to fix stats on a profile, sure, at most i have to change a few sentences, that's easy.

But you can't simply edit a few sentences in someone else's explanation blog, because in 90% of the cases, you'd write it in a different manner.

So essentially if you want to improve an explanation, more often than not you'd have to write it from scratch, independently from it being a page or a blog, which makes the "easier to update" argument moot

Yeah, that's a bad argument, and both pages and blogs are edited the same way. No need to homogenize everything into pages.

Okay. Never mind then. It was just a thought.

Some of the blogs apparently still need to be updated though.

I will ask Cal and Azathoth to comment here about their blogs.

Should it be removed from the wiki navigation bar, or are you able to update it instead?

Okay. I would appreciate if you remind me to do so. I have too many tasks to try to keep track of.

Well, the main issue seems to have been settled then.

Okay. I would still appreciate if Cal and Azathoth update their blogs though.
