A Vento Aureo Tour, episode 2: Narancia Ghirga VS Illyasviel von Einzbern

I swear it's not supposed to be a jojo vs fate series, i just wanted to do this match for a while... So after the father, here's the daughter.

Following this thread, it's another match with a Vento Aureo character. This time, Narancia will have to fight Berserker's master (without said servant obviously) to avenge Mista, defeated in the precedent thread. This time, it's a plane VS birds duel!

-In character for both.

-Starting distance of 20 meters

-Location is Fuyuki Park, at night.

-Speed equalized.

Illya is too slow to dodge Aerosmith's bullets, and she hasn't shown to be capable of manifesting enough familiars to block them while still keeping up an offense. Her own projectiles were dodged with some effort from Rin, and Narancia vastly outspeeds her.

Not to mention and to be completely honest, Illya's profile has a lot of inaccuracies. She was also never built for combat, so she couldn't even handle Kayneth. She's never shown many feats in combat since her go-to was always point at the enemy and let Berserker go ham, and the one time she held off Rin was when Rin was unprepared for her abilities.

Narancia stomps.
 
Speed is now equalized then. Howerver, i don't recall any source saying she couldn't handle Kayneth, except one nasu's interview saying this:

" Frankly, she is the top mage in Fuyuki. Still, first-class mages would follow the "since she's a child of nature, just cut her off from the land first" plan, so it's not like she's invincible. Kayneth and Tokiomi may be able to best her in a magic duel. "

And it's way more ambiguous.
 
My statement refers to how compared to magi like Kayneth, who has shown the ability to manipulate spirits, create traps, attack, defend, search, set up detection fields and the sort, Illya has done comparatively little in the combat-applicable magecraft department.

She can turn her hair into birds that shoot things. She can turn those birds into swords that have a bit more power. She can maybe enhance her physical abilities. That's it. Her True Magic takes prep and can only be used sparingly or else she kills herself, and everything else she's done in the VN doesn't translate well into combat.
 
Oh, i understand what you mean. She only have one real fight of her own. However that doesn't make that fight a stomp in my opinion, even if it mean that Narancia should be a better fighter. After all Illya should have an attack above Narancia's durability.

(well it's true that Illya isn't the most usable char for vs threads tho, i'll admit that).
 
Maybe not a stomp, but definitely a decisive win for Narancia, who has far more actual combat experience. It takes some serious digging to make even a weak case for Illya pulling a win here.
 
That's a vote for Narancia then? I don't think i'll make another Narancia match instead so we'll see how this one goes.
 
that's 3 vote for Narancia then.

(Even if Illya have little to no combat feats, i'm surprised no one is bringing up Degen. )
